They call and say i have been chosen to get $ 9,200.00 in grant money, they give u a number to call,I tell them I can't call long distance numbers and they say I just call that number and I will get my money.Again I tell them I can't call long distance,they say you can call tomorrow. They want you to go to a western union and pay money to get grant money.They are retarded and a scam.

same to me too, i had a call from a lady name caroline anderson, saying that i've been selected to to get a 7000 dallor from the government grant, and after that i gaveher all my information, and then she said in order for me to receive this money i need to make a money transfer of $135.00 dollar at western union, and then she gave me the address to sent it to,
receiver country : INDIA
receiver name: TANIMA DIXIT
after that before i made all process of the money, i wanted to make sure which company she work for, and she said that, this is the U.S FINANCE TREASURY DEPARTMENT,  so then i fall for the whole thing, i ask her about my money she said that she will call meback about 30 to 40 minutes, so i waited, and then when she call, she said that i have to wait for about 2 to 3 hour before midnight, because theres some problem transfering the money into my master card..........so i waited about 7 hours but it was still nothing, then i realize i GOT SCAM, from that moment on i call western union to stop my transfer money, and they did, and also i got my refund back

yes i got the same call SCAM! THERE NO FREE MONEY!

this is a scam and i just fell for it

P.S.  try calling any gov agency you get to talk to computer for at least 3 options not a middle eastern accent named Caroline Anderson I asked her what state she was from originally tryin to make small talk haha she hung up. If you were takin for 130+ dollars report it on FBI.GOV and let it be a lesson  middle eastern accent non 1-800 number your going to jail if you dont pay or free money SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

I just got the same call same everything 135 send to them for 7000 sent to me the government doesn't even pay for stamps so its a scam. Do you think the gov will give you 7000 tax free money and still charge you taxes at the end of the year don't think so

i dont know wheather this is a scam or not from tel#202-470-0101 they called saying that i had been approved for a us grant for 7000.00 that if i went to western union and sent them 130.00 that they would deposit the 7000.00 in my bank account the following day.they waunted me to send the 130.00 to emic aroia  india? why would any one in india have anything to do with us grants.i didnt send the 130.00 it sounded like it was a scam of some sort ,can you tell me if this is a legitiment deal or a scam.thx betty blair.

this website said that we had gotten a grant for 7000.00 they needed us to go to western union and send them 130.00 for fee,it will be put in my bank account tomorrow after i send the 130.00 is this lagit or is it a scam.
