-  they  are   also  impersonating  DEA  officials  /  IRS  /  FAKE  LAW  FIRMS   etc....  with  threats  to  arrest you  unless  you  immediately  send money  via  wire   transfer /  western  union   to some   offshore  country  !!!!!   obvious  scam  !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers mostly  in   INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA /  NIGERIA    ETC....

My wife got the same call at home - Gov't Grant line of crap - $8400 but have to send $250 to claim it - I wish she had asked which mud hut to send the money to in Nigeria or Jamaica....They claimed to be the Dept of Treasury in Washington DC. DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY THESE SAVAGES!

I too received a call from 202-666-2294 from Freddy Johnson who had a thick accent telling me that I was selected to receive $8,400 because I paid my taxes on time.  He gave me an award #  told me to call Jennifer White at 202-470-3920.  She then told me that I had to pay a one time fee of $215 for fees and taxes.

i just  receiv a cal from the same number 2024703920 say that i receive whatever money grant thing...it a good thing i look it up befor i do anything...she want me to get 220 dollar green dot money pack...n i told her to withdraw the money from my bank account n she say no...no...no...i have to purchase the green dot money pack for me to receive the 8400...n i told  her b***s*** u father f****r get a life...so please if u receive this number IT A FRAUD DONT FALL FOR IT

not real I received the same call and they said I was getting 8400 dollars but I had to call Amanda lee she has an answering machine u can leave a message on. she proceeded to tell me to get a greendot money pack that sent up red flags because why would the united ststes government ask u to purches a moneypack that can only be placed on another prepaid card. I gave her first the number to a card that was no longer active. she became very upset and hung up on me. its not real its a scam. when she tried to call back I told her I called the u s department of treasury and they had no knowledge of her she hung up. I wasn't able to get through to the number after that.. please do ur homework before u give these people ur information. u will never get a call about a grant and u never have to send money to receive a grant. its free money why would u have to pay for it

This moth******er called me and asked for my card number. He had an idian voice. He gave me a government number And a callback number. He said he was rewarding me with 8400. Is it bad to give him the info? Where can i report him?

just a few hours ago the same number of 202-666-1933 call me and said I was going to receive $8400 of grant money from the government  and that I needed to give them a checking account number , debit card number,or  credit card, or prepaid money card so that they could deposit the money in my account so that I could us it for paying off my bills. she told me she'd call back  in about 30 mins. she called back in 2 hours . they lady on the phone told me to call Amanda Lee at 202-470-3920  tomorrow between 10am and 7pm to get the money in my account. She also gave me a reference number to give to the accounting officer which is no other than guess who "Amanda Lee"

they told me it was a one time prosessing fee and tax on the $8400... total scam!

has a voice mail and you can leave a message she wanted me to give 215 as well and i would receive the 8400.00 it sounds too good to be true and i infact was going to do it but when i called her back she didnt answer i asked if it was a scam they said not but this is just too good to be true i dont understand ..

I just received this call from the federal reserve about grant money, They want me to give them account number to put the grant money in.

I also received a call but was from 202 666 2441 claiming the same they then wanted my visa card numbeand security code to doposit 8000 dollars. then said I needed to call the 202 470 3920 number to verify.this is a scam as I called and aked them questions then got hung up on. this has been reported and is now under investigation. be aware never give your details out to anyone that calls you to give you money!!!!!

No. It is not real. The government will never call to offer you grant money, and to get a grant, you must have first applied for it. This is a scam.
