Just got a call from this on my cell. Didn't recognize the number so naturally didn't answer it. Then got on here and saw all this mess. So glad now that I didn't answer!

Received a call from this number.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

Got a call from this # 202-562-7893 I did not answer, sent it straight to vm. Of course no message left. I have a blocking app on my phone so I added it to my blacklist. When and if they call back they will get a message that states: your call will not be completed. I hope they enjoy the message. I've also reported the number to the FTC, and I suggest everyone else do the same.

Same thing here, he said i was selected for government grant money and he said " i bet you're wondering why you were selected" my response was no i am wondering why it sounds like you are in a wind tunnel...he hung up.

I just recieved a call from this number.  The reception was bad.  I knew that I did not know OR owe anyone from DC, but I answered anyway and asked who the man was looking for.  He said he was looking for "this number".  I told him he had the wrong number.  I gave it a couple of minutes and called back.  There was no answer or voicemail.

Also, what little I could hear and understand, he sounded like he was from India, Pakistan, or that area and he was saying he was from some government agency.

I got a call from them answered it. The guy ha a super strong accent and said he was in DC with a government grant offering me 9000 dollars and when I asked to speak to someone else cause i could not understand no's of what he said he refused and just kept repeating the same thing over and over so I hung up.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone. I live in Tennessee. I posted about it on facebook and several of my friends have gotten the same call recently. Some gal, who could barely speak English, said she was w/ the government and want to give me check for $9000. sure... One of my fb friends directed me to this site.

I got the same call as everyone else and told the guy I couldn't understand him.  I hung up and called back.  RECORDED MESSAGE SAID IT WAS NOT IN SERVICE!!!!!!

I got a call this afternoon.  The woman sounded Indian and she kept repeating herself,  "I'm calling to inform you that....I'm calling to inform you" and then just hung up. I called it back and it was disconnected.

Got same call a few minutes ago everyone else is mentioning above: selected for a $9K grant and blah, blah. After asking her name and a phone number I can call back she hung up.
Looks they are still very active trying to scam more people.

A woman with an accent spoke to me from this number, which had a lot of static and background noise. She started out by saying I have been chosen to receive $9000.00, whereupon I interrupted her and said I'm not interested, don't call back. She tried to continue, so I repeated "Do not call back" and hung up.
I know there's no one willing to give me money for no good reason!

They are calling cell/ only can block 10/  what do you do?  Rings at work home sleep etc. I can not turn off phone-

Why can 't  these people be stopped!!!!  Different people different numbers!  SCAM!! Some ask for me by name some dont. Started after target breach!! They said they cant do anything!  HELP

Says I've selected by the gov. Sounds like he's in India

Nigerian accent.  This woman called to let me know that Washington DC has an account being held for me with $9,000.00 in it and am I interested in picking it up.  I said, "This call is being recorded and you will be arrested."  Click.

I also received a phone call from this number, with a foreign man telling me that I received  a $9000 federal grant... If it was real, I would believe that I would have gotten an email regarding this.

A woman called and told me I was selected to receive a $9000 federal grant, but I had to give her my bank account information. At first she said $900, then changed it to $9000. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said she needed my bank account information first. When I asked her what my name was, since I was "selected" I figured she would know it, and she didn't.  I'm assuming it's a scam.

Did not answer, but they keep calling over and over waking me up. Verizon should block them since we pay a fortune for their services.

I received a call from this number offering me a government grant. When I asked where was he calling from he said 'this conversation is over'.

Still going on, same Indian accents, same $9000 in grant money.

I received a call on my cell phone.  I was able to block the number. I suggest everyone do the same.

They say they are calling from the government to give away money for having good credit and paying my bills on time. That would be a first. The government rewarding the working public.

I just received call from this number. Female stating same about grant and how money was coming from federal reserve. Wanted account numbers to make deposit it. I refused to give information and told her to mail it. She got mad and hung up. Good news she not aware of, where I work have means to track call location and did so.

It is a scam.   Don't give them anything.

Missed call from this number... called back and the number was disconnected... Obviously a spoofed number.

Thats what happened to me I called it back an it was disconnected
