You can add another name to the list Dr Lance James Patterson, same mo as the others, different number.  Tried to get me to pay for his flight back to the UK as couldn't access his money, then when i said no, wanted me to become part of his business.  All i needed to do was give him my bank account details... He was very charming and good looking (well if that was his photo?)  please be aware folks,  He was on Uniform.com dating site...

I've just been caught up in this too - Plenty Fish dating site and yes deleted from the site after we emailed too. Says he is Vice Comandant Theo Bradley living in Huntingdon - one daughter with a son, even said he had told her about me and gave an email address of a daughter called Kim.  He says he is aged 58, is widowed 8 years. Working in aviation in Syria. Very very clever and attention to detail. He also asked me to send email to dod_dyncorpinternational@rescueteam.com as he wanted to get leave so that we could meet and he wanted to stop travelling and start a new life with me.

He reals in his prey with long romantic emails and declarations of indying love - he certainly dedicates a lot of time and effort to it.  He gets information out of you very cleverly and when asked about scam, denies it implicitly and says he would never do anything like that - he is very convincing. He now appears to have disapeared since I told him I had nothing in any bank accounts worth scamming for.
It was the very small details that put me on to the idea it was wrong - he sent a long complicated account of what he had done - almost like a CV, where all the wording was correct to the last detail - grammar, punctuation etc, and then suddenly the personal bit at the end changed form.

I was just browsing the internet to see more about "where he was" and this page came up - what luck that it confirmed what I had thought - but its nevertheless easy to get hurt.

If it seems too good to be true - then it probably is
Yes, beware

I have been chatting to a "guy" on a dating website who told me he is working in Syria. Says he is contracted to Dyncorp International on a peacekeeping project.   Said he does something to do with airplanes.  Sends long romantic emails claiming his undying love.  Said he has been widowed for 8 years and has 2 daughters who are grown up.  Claims his name is Lewis Marlon.  He gave me this number as said he was trying to get urgent leave from Syria to come home and could I help him by sending an urgent leave request to: ddo_dyncorpinternational@rescueteam.com.

Funny thing is, as soon as we sent each other emails he deleted himself from the dating website (Plenty of Fish).

Having had my suspicions I came on to this site and checked this number out.

So glad I did.

Beware.....

The Police have investigated my situation and traced the IP address to Shanghai, China.  Also if you contact the British Red Cross they will reply to you.   The British Red Cross told me that this 'person' whether Fred or Ritchie Domnall was not one of their employees and the flight details were completely bogus.  Beware - it is a scam.  He has also scammed two other ladies in uk!  Take care

Hi there

Yes I have had the same guy this past 2 weeks with exactly the same. He gave his undying love and said his wife had died 12 years ago and his daughters lived in Tenerefe and Cyprus. He said he was going to get special leave to come home and sent me the same from the Briish Red Cross with Sgt James O'connor as the Transit Grant Processing Officer. If I could help him pay £1850 in to the account of a woman in Southampton branch of the Natwest he would get me to meet the flight he would be on at the weekend in Heathrow. I became suspicious when I saw  there was no reference on the form and when I said to him what ref shall I put he said no need to, I queried this as I am dealing with bank accounts all the time and said this would be a nightmare for the person to identify. Such a shame as he looks so nice whoever he really is and I wonder if he knows he is being used on the site. If I had not had a bit of common sense and had the money, I could be well on my way to bankrupcy. I had him as Richie Domnall and on the Red Cross Form it had Fred at the front of the name. It was very unprofessionally written which also made me wonder.

I have been emailing someone called 'Freddie Domnall' who says he works at the Team Commandant of the Enginering Crew in Islamabad. He says that he has decided to retire and return to live in the UK from this Thursday, 21st October.  The flight details are supposed to be from the British Red Cross Transit Grant Department - Sgt James O'Connor, the Transit Grant Processing Officer.  This is a scam and has been reported to the UK police.  It is definitely a romance scam.
