We don't want control of what goes on in your bedroom or uterus, we just don't want to pay for it!
Limited gov't, off my back, and OUT OF MY POCKET.
Get it, you liberal moron?

this number and several others in dc and kansas are all from the national defense of marriage act folks, ostensibly doing a survey but trying to get contributions. to get removed from their call list phone beth at 703 683 5004.
PS they are certainly calling the wrong person when they phone me as i have been married to a great guy for the last year legally in california... lets stop this stupid harassment of the nation which is trying to get away from the do not call list by pretending to be a survey.
Opted Out 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
i called the number, there was no Beth and the receptionist didn't know what I was talking about. But then oddly said she gets similar requests and would pass mine along - to be taken off the call list. I hope this works.

We got the first call tonight so from the looks of it it won't be the last! Boy did they get the wrong number! My adult godson is gay, and a good number of friends of mine are LGBT so wow I really can't wait till they call again. We promise to answer the phone in a deep voice and be over 50 and male and pro gay marriage!!!!

I got this call four times in one day. I have caller ID and will not answer any "strange" looking number. It is very annoying to have the phone ringing 9-10 times.

I answered and was told it was a "public survey call." Turned out it was an advertisement for Mike Huckabee's radio show.
Marsha 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
Seriously? How the hell did they get my cell phone number? I've gotten four calls in the last three days. I haven't answered any of them and they never leave a message. Will have to answer next time and tell them I believe marriage should be between two consulting adults and that it in no way threatens my marriage. If it threatens theirs then maybe they need to look at their own marriage and wonder why.
I also want to ask them how the hell they got my number.
SwiVa 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
"It's from the National Organization for Marriage, an anti-gay marriage radical group. Thank God for Caller ID."
Thats exactly the call you want to answer - tell them yes you are a man over 50 and NO you do not think marriage should be only between one Man and one Women, it should be between One Consenting Adult and One Consenting Adult who love each other!
Jennifer 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
It's from the National Organization for Marriage, an anti-gay marriage radical group. Thank God for Caller ID.
From Maryland 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
I got it -- it was a poll on gay marriage (hot issue in the Maryland legislature right now). It's from some defense of traditional marriage organization (can't remember the name), asks if I believe that marriage should be only between one man and one woman, and if I'm a male over fifty.
I've gotten a call for the same poll 2x -- I'm assuming the calling organization is a polling organization, and the defense of marriage group is not getting their money's worth if they're collecting duplicate responses from the same person.
carla 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
...me too. They've called at least 3 times in the last week.
gjarboni 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
I got a voice mail from them. It said: "This is a public survey call. We may call back later." I have Ooma and used the "send to voicemail" button. Maybe that's why I got the message.

I just got the same call and same caller ID. No message left on my answering machine. (I screen my calls.)
critch 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
received the call once yesterday and 2x today. Answered on last call to see what it was about. Asked if I preferred Country or Gospel music on my smart phone and if I would like a download for said music. Nothing about marriage on my call. Also asked if I was over 50. Also called my cell phone.

Received a call the other day,( as did my friend) was a robo survey from Alpha something or other re: abortion. Must be some service that calls on behalf of fringe groups. Wanted to know if I was pro life? male? over 50? Hot topic here in South Dakota.
These idealogues who want control over what goes on in your bedroom or uterus are the same ones who want "limited government" and government off their backs. Hypocrites!!
FedUp 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
Four Republican and/or Tea Party robo calls in a few days, tried to do "press 1 for yes" but it is voice recognition only. Big mistake because I lost my voice two months ago. So their totally automated system said, "I'm sorry, I couldn't understand. We will keep calling back until we can speak with someone." Duh. Last survey we got Sunday 7 p.m. was very long and included the following wording as close as I remembered it: Do you plan to vote in your state's Republican primary or straw poll? (We are in Iowa famous for the first caucus.) Do you consider yourself a Democrat? A Republican? An independent? Do you align yourself with the Tea Party? Are you Pro-Life? Do you believe in one-woman one-man definition of marriage? Do you believe in the National Rifle Association's stance on gun ownership? If you had a choice today amongst voting for Republican candidates Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Sara Palin, or Newt Gingrich, would you prefer Mike Huckabee? etc. Are you male? Are you 50 or older? Apparently they were enlightened enough to continue with the survey when I answered "I don't know" to some of the looooong list of questions. Considering the least noxious choice for me would be Huckabee, and that the voice was obviously Huckabee, I assume the Sunday call was from his campaign, and at least the 3rd we have received recently. This is Tuesday and they called again at 6:20 p.m. same i.d. & phone #

Said, "This is a public opinion poll. Are you registered?" I have had many calls from this number and either no one on line or busy signal on answering machine. This time I hung up
FedUp 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
RSPND20011AIC from Washington DC keeps calling until you co-operate by answering their questions. Apparently they also want to get all registered voters in your household to respond as they do have those records, of course, from your polling & voting history, also they know from the "are you male" question whether all in the household have been polled. We have call rejection which their system recognizes & gives their phone# and name to get thru. The automated survey also asked "Do you think that your state's unionized employees receive too much pay and too many benefits?", "Do you approve of the job President Obama is doing," and "Do you think that Obamacare is a good bill?" (not sure on the exact wording of that last question).

I got a call from this number doing a survey. They wanted to know if I thought that my state legislators should vote to recognize same sex marriages. This was a couple of weeks ago and since then they show up on my caller ID often as Washington DC 202-630-6958. I don't answer but wish they would stop.
William M 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
Are they geting voter registration info from States and Counties? How would they know by Male Responder that he is the last person in the household to reply?
A.J. 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
Some sort of poll on behalf of something like National Institution for Marriage or similar crap. Voice recognition didn't recognize my response of "SCREW YOU" to their question asking if I was a registered voter, and threatened to call back till it got an answer it liked. Not looking forward to this.
Anthony 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
Marsha,
Your cellphone number is a finite number. While it is a secret that you are the subscriber, you were not given an impossible-to-find secret algorithm by your carrier. If it is comprised of a country code (1 for United States), a known area code, a known exchange, and followed by four numbers within the range 0-9, it is not a secret.
If you have not put it on the do-not-call list, telemarketers and pollsters will call every number within a range, and they will eventually call the number that rings your cellphone. Surely you understand this...right? Now if they happen to have your name matched with your private number, that is a different question.

I just got the same call. Did not answer. Did not know who they were.
Moe 2011-06-06 20:41:48 Unknown
I've received three calls from (202) 630-6958, caller ID shows the caller name as RSPND2011AIC. I have looked this number up. WhoCallsMe did not have any post, but at the bottom of their page it says their location as Cairo, Egypt. Has anyone else received a call from this number? Just curious to know who they are, what they want but not enough to call them back.
