Any time any of these people call, refuse to answer any questions until they tell you which party they are being paid by then let them know that you are going to make it a point to vote for the whichever party does not call you.
Thank you, hlr.
Thank you, Fatin
These are the telephone numbers of harassment callers from 3rd March to 4th April, 2012, made on my residence phone and cell phone. All numbers were listed on 800notes.com by other people who had received harassment calls from these numbers.
All these numbers were of unknown persons or not recognized by me as companies I knew. After the first two or three times I stopped answering them and simply rejected the calls unanswered or deleted unheard or unread any messages they left.
The one thing that seems to cause them to stop calling is to simply allow no contact with the harasser who is calling. It seems to me that the harassers purpose of making contact with the called individual is thwarted by simply rejecting him and declining to pay any attention to him at all. This works for telemarketer, solicitors, and so-called surveyors as well. The one thing none of them can abide is to be ignored. If you prevent any contact whatsoever; they lose, you win. When you answer a call or listen to or read a message; the harasser smiles and you become frustrated. If you answer and immediately hang-up or delete any message; you smile and the harasser becomes frustrated. Right?
Received calls from this number. No messages left or anything comes up on caller id except phone number. Annoying and harassing. Going to notify authorities.
Robocall saying how we've been carefully chosen to participate in a short survey after which we could win a free cruise to the Bahamas. This is a scam! Do not fall for it! Hang up immediately!
These scammers are hiding behind a so-called political survey in an attempt to get around the do not call list when in fact they are telemarketers who are in violation of that same list.
This is but one of the dozens of numbers these crooks are using. They are spoofing the Caller ID information that we see. What legitimate company does that?
Do not participate in the survey. It is not real. Do not give these crooks your credit card number or any other personal information. The cruise is not free and they will charge "small fees" to it that you will never be able to get back because they are non-refundable.
Do not bother speaking to anyone because they will only laugh at you or curse at you or hang up on you. Do not press any key (or call the number back) to have your phone number removed from their list. All you are doing is confirming that your number is real.
Do not go to this fake company's new fake website to have your phone number removed because you are only confirming your name/number and giving them new ammunition.
Add this number (and the many others that they use) to your phone's address book under SCAM. Block it if you have that capability.
Last, but not least, report each and every one of these scam calls to www.donotcall.gov.
You confirmed that your number is live, so expect many more spammy/scammy phone calls, plus you now need to keep an eye on your phone bill because they will probably bill you for what you did.
I strongly suggest that you DO NOT CALL THEM OR PUSH ANY BUTTONS ON THEIR SUGGESTION! And if you do, keep an eye on your phone bill, because there is a good chance a charge you don't know anything about will suddenly appear on the bill, and you'll need to call your phone company to contest it. Scammers have a lot of ways to scam, and getting you to do something that they can bill you for, like calling them back or pushing buttons, is one of them.
DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING! Many scam callers get you to press a number or respond in some way and then immediately sock you with a huge expense that shows up on your phone bill. Better to ignore it than interact in any way, like pressing a number to "remove your number from a list" (HAHAHA! Right, they're going to take your number off once they find out it's a viable number. I don't think so.)
Virginia Steinmetz: "I have an attorney working with me to put an end t this type of phone call!"
Sure thing, Ginny. Good luck with that. Just buy a good phone blocker and use it. Digitone has one which works great. And no, I don't work for them, I'm just a grateful customer. :-)
If I get a caller I never want to hear from again I just touch a button and POOF! They're gone. I can even block who area codes. I can set up times when all unknown numbers are rejected. I have a white list for family and they can reach my any time. But nobody else can call me between the hours of 9 PM and 9 AM. I finally have my phone back, thanks to Digitone! :-)
all for 1, 1 for all, 3 for 5
Got a call from them on my cell, wanted to talk politics with me. I hung up and BLOCKED THEM. Can't figure out people here. They keep saying "I'm on the DNC list". That does not stop political or charity calls, only sales. They keep saying "Make them stop!". What, your fingers broken? Just BLOCK THEM. Most cellphones have a blocking option as part of the calls directory. USE IT.
don't bother, they won't do anything. Even if you call and speak to a live person, you are told that all it does is go into a database.
I've gotten a call twice from these people; they offer a 2-day Bahamas cruise for 30-second survey...yeah, right, and I have money growing on the trees in my yard.
I get calls from 2026448398 too. Most of the time it's just silent when I picked up. Seemingly a robo-caller. Something should be really done about this kind of thing.
One thing I've done is added the number as a contact AND the specific ringtone that goes with this number is NONE. No rings!!!!
Got the same exact call as you guys did. I heard a girly voice tell me that and I instantly hung up. They left me a message with absolutely nothing. Now I'm getting these every day during school. This is bulls*it.
I have been getting several times from the 2026448398 phone number. Please stop calling me and leaving a voice message!
202-644-8398 John on 3/12/2012 Political Opinions of America offering 2-day free cruise of Bahamas courtesy of subscriber for taking a survey. Right.
Oh!! You people are so cute if you think the DoNotCallRegistry is going to help you!! It is another government scam that is useless. I never received any unwanted scammer calls UNTIL I put my number on their useless list. I receive 10 calls a week minimum from these bottom feeders. Needless to say, I received a call from this number, as per usual, I did not answer and no message was left.
I have several calls from this number, no one respond when I answer and
other times when I am not avaliable they don't leave a message.
I have also received calls from this #...these people are ruthless and ver rude...I have an attorney working with me to put an end t this type of phone call!
I had a missed call from this number how can I block it
Call from this and lots of other numbers that are really from another country and like the other people say, if you answer it then they sell your number and you get more calls. Just don't answer the phone if you don't know who it is and they will move on to the next number.
I just left a message on a previous # (8002136459) These are basically the same bottom feeders. DO NOT LISTEN to them, don't even answer the phone. They are rude and try to scare and intimidate you into giving you your credit, debt card and Social Security number. Last fall I had a punk call me and tell me that if I did not pay this "bad debt" that he would send a sheriff to my home and have me arrested. But, if I gave them my banking number they would let me off at a "reduced rate" They CAN NOT do this. I tracked down the # and found that the address was in Southern California, a repair shop. Sometimes you will get someone who can hardly speak English. A very thick Eastern Indian accent. They outsource these calls overseas. It's cheaper to pay those yahoos than pay the yahoos here. DO NOT listen to them. Please contact your State Attorney's General Office, and lodge a complaint. What they do is illegal. They scare people half to death. They even have someone pose as a "responsible and concerned" citizen and try and shame YOU into being a "responsible and concerned" citizen that pays their bills!
These people are not surveyers nor political. They are scammers. Block their number, it's the only way to avoid their calls.
Constantly getting call from this number, need to stop.
Received a phone call from 202-644-8398, but no message was received!
Called the number back and it gave the option to have my # removed from their database, which I did.

This is a credit card scam hiding behind a fake political survey. All they want is your personal info. Removing your number just lets them know they can at least sell it as a legit number to other crooks.
Caller: WASH DC
Call Type: Survey
call was for *Political Survey - caller named Ann - stated press 1 if you want # taken off of call list
