I got a call from this number too and crazy thing about it is my cell phone said incoming call from District of Columbia..REALLY...they are indeed on my reject list....

Yes, whoever the hell is calling from this number thinks we're idiot. have a life WORK!!!! stop scamming. And by the way you've been reported, so even you changed your number, too late.

This same number calls me at least twice a day. Everytime I answer they hang up. From reading the posts above I am glad they continue to hang up on me but I wish they would quit calling me, it is irritating!!!

I got the exact call from a person informing me
That I had received a grant from the govt
In the amount of 8k dollars. He also wanted my
bank acct number go figure:) so he could send
the money electronically and when I didn't  fall
prey to that he hung up.

once after i totaled my car and had been talking to my insurance, the other time they woke me up. I was like, you don't even sound like you're from the U.S. The second time I told them to go to hell. Then he said to me. well have a good time in hell. then hung up. That completed my assumption that he was a scammer.

ya there calling me to ,,i told them right off the bat ,what is ur co name ,,and the forein male,said who are u to comand me and i said u called me, address ur self ,,,then i  laid in to him with a sailors mouth and hung up,,,,i belive they are a nigiaren scam,,something should be done about this,,faud is faud ,if i comment it i go to jail ,,,they steal peoples money and get a way with it ,,,,not cool and yes  my spelling sucks  lol

8/13/12  I also Received a call from 202-666-6887 a male caller told me I was randomly selected to reveive a one time Federal grant of 8K, gave a bunch of details about the grant, said he needed to verify my information. He had my first & last name and address. I was told the money would be wired to me and required an account # then I would be transferred to a manager of treasury dept to close the call and provide me with a call back phone number. I did not give the requested information.

i got a call today from some lady telling me that i had one a survey of 8k from the goverment to fix my house and she needed my bank account i found this hard to believe so hung up on her.

I asked them to putit in writing. They hung up.

I got a call from these people today. Reported them to the police dept and FDC

I keep getting a call from this number, I haven't answered, I don't want to but I want them to stop calling me.

This is a scam. They call me from several different numbers. They do tend to call you a loser and I told them straight out this is a scam and I am reporting these calls to my police department who is keeping a record on you guys. You guys are the losers. Call me again and you'll get a call from the police. They did not call again.

i just got a call for 2026666887...told me i can get $8400 in grant i feel its a scam cause they wont to much personal information.......has any one every gave up there information to them to see if its fake or not.....if so we need more messages for those who know for a fact first hand its not true ..

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers  in  INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

They keep calling me telling me i won 8400.00 as a financial assistance grant. They are either looking to steal my identity or money one i bet!!

I received phone cal from 226-202-666-6887 and 202-905-0699 for Gov. grant $ 8400. These person use my information.

Received a call (202)666-6887 which a woman of asian descent informed me of being selected for a government grant.  She never got around to say how much but she did want personal banking or credit card information to receive said grant.  I was told how I could use this grant and how not to abuse government grants which could be seen as a felony. After I told her of my disinterest and I felt it was a scam, she became upset and annoyed with me and hung up.

Aafter numerous calls from this number in which the phone disconnected when I answered we finally connected The caller claimed I was rewarded $8400 in grant money from the government and wanted my bank information

I do not know who called me today from this number :202-666- 68887. When I looked up the location and found out the call was from Washington.

When you get an obviously fraudulent call/scam, just say "Oh, so you are willing to forward that money to..." then say the name of the infamous terror group involved in 911. That will cause the NSA to automatically track their activities. Serves 'em right.

How do  i stop this  people? I don,t want them to call me all the time
