Start getting these calls at 8 am.  Very disturbing. Also babysit my grandchildren and these calls keep coming throughout the day while they are trying to take their naps.  I will not answer anonymous calls but they keep coming anyway.

I consider this harassment. I have reported then to my senator and do not call. Huckabee at 202-683-6491 and published it in the local paper. We are a 24/7household with end of life care going on any noise is problem. we don't answer the landline anymore unless we know the number.

I just got a call which I will add or have already added to my block list.  I will now get no ring but will get a list of blocked calls on my phone.

You can block 250 numbers plus kill the one ring that existed on earlier models that only allowed 30 blocked numbers.  If other phone models are connected you will still get the first ring on them.
The one handset model sells for $70 at Amazon.

Receiving Robo (?) Calls to my home, all within the past week, from  4 different anonymous callers, and 1 from Hicksville NY. When I pick up to answer, no one is on the other end. I'm not given the opportunity to have my # removed from their lists, and I am on the Do Not Call list.

I go not want these unsolicited calls from this anonymous  number in DC. There is no one on the line when I pickup. I am on the 'Do not call list' .

I have been receiving calls from this number for quite some time.  They usually call twice a day.  My caller ID shows the phone number and "Anonymous".  The area code is Washington DC and if they are a political organization, they are not obligated to follow the Do Not Call List.  I have tried just not answering, but it didn't help.  I tried hanging up the phone, still no luck.  I finally put them on my "block" list on my phone. Since Suddenlink only allows 10 numbers on the list, I was hoping these people would go away after a while, and I wouldn't have to use up another space on that too-small list. I already have 3 other 202 numbers on the block list, including another "Anonymous", and numbers from 5 other area codes. I'm afraid to pick up the phone and ask them to put me on their Do Not Call list.  Can I really trust someone who has "Anonymous" on their caller ID?  I'm afraid they'll just share my phone number with other organizations if I answer and they learn it's a real phone number.

I am beginning to think we should defund the Do Not Call List on the state and federal levels.  It appears they are not doing their jobs since these calls keep increasing.  It seems that they do little or nothing to stop these annoying calls.  I can understand if the callers keep changing numbers but that is not the case with many of them.

Called mobile at 1:25PM Eastern Time. No message. No previous calls showing on call log, though that only keeps a certain number of calls, so this may not be accurate.

The other day when I arrived home, my caller ID showed that "Huckabee" called yet left no message. The following morning, the phone rang and the caller ID showed "Huckabee" and the phone number. I picked up the phone, pushed the talk button and then the end call button just as fast. That ended any more calls from Huckabee. I, too, am on the DO NOT CALL list but I was told last year that you have to get on the Political Do Not Call List to avoid these calls. I did but this call still got through. So, I picked up and then hung up without giving the caller a chance to talk.

I've been getting calls from Huckabee for a week or so, but they've stepped up the calling yesterday and today. They just called 3 times within 20 minutes.  I'm wondering, for the people who have picked up the phone, does that stop the calls? I was getting many calls from a pro-life group. After I answered and told them exactly what they did not want to hear and to stop calling me - they did.

So which "Huckabee" could this possibly be? The right-wing light-weight wannabe?
I've been getting several of his messages daily for past few weeks. I sent a complaint to the FTC.
I think we might make it clear that not only will we not vote for him but also anyone who supports him, anyone he supports, any program he supports, or anyone who has anything vaguely nice to say about him.

This call showed up on the caller Id as Huckabee, it was a woman asking something about how likely would I be to vote ? When I ask her what was your question she hung up. This call shows up on my caller Id all the time with the name Huckabee on the caller ID.

My panasonic phone system blocks numbers and says out loud who is calling.  Gee, I got all excited that Obama was calling me (lol)!

"YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it).  And do not answer name unavailable ever as calls are now starting to say that often.  Another comment from this web site says: When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one.  Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.  Another comment was:  They sold your known active number to another scammer!!!  That is what they do when you call them back to opt out.  SO DON?T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED!

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers more to copy and paste to)

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It?s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller, and making my own excel spreadsheet of numbers) but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.  Another smart person on this web site said to save it to your contacts as spam 1, then spam 2, etc. so you can just ignore the call.

The Center for Investigative Reporting joined two news organizations in an investigation of groups that use telemarketers to raise money and they found is that most of the money is paid to telemarketers, leaving the charities with little, if anything. (3%)

Not only that reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually know the person calling.

Recieved call from 202-683-6491; first time today.  Message was left on voice mail and the person identified self as "Dee Fairbanks" from "Energy Citizens" which is affiliated to the "American Petroleum Institute".  Of course they want you to "Thank" your state sentator for supporting the XL pipeline - they are obviously part of the oil industry lobby.  NO THIANKS to their annoying phone calls.

Got a call, when I answer no one replies but I can hear people in the background. I can't tell if its a party or a calling center. They are now CALL BLOCKED.

This number literally calls every 30 minutes with no answer.  This is the third day.  My husband was recently in a serious car accident, and feeling jumpy anyway, and my daughter has chronic migraines, and it is just feels like an imposition, really.  There is no way to "get off the list."

Called my house 6 times today!

I get several calls a day from this number and nobody ever says anything.

Despite being on a do-not-call list for years, we keep getting an ever-increasing number of robo calls.  Thank goodness for Caller ID!  Still, we don't appreciate having the phone line tied up several times a day.

Received a call from the same number. If I do not recognize the number on my caller ID or if it indicates the caller ID is blocked, I DO NOT ANSWER and let it go to the answering machine. If they want anyone by name in this household do as the answering machine message says, LEAVE A MESSAGE and, maybe, we will get back to you. If they don't leave a message, they shouldn't hold their breath until they get the callback. On second thought, please do hold your breath... forever.

We refuse to be a slave to that ringing box. The ring is a REQUEST by them to interrupt our lives and sometimes the answer to that request is NO.

Same for me; work from home and have no time for such petty calls. It is so annoying.
I have filed "do not call" for my numbers and still receive numerous, unsolicited calls!
What must one do to be removed from all these "spam" calls!  It's email and phone call

Filled up my recording with support for the Keystone Pipeline to call my Senator to thank him for supporting the pipeline.  Gave me his number to call him (yeah, I'll get right on that) and then loudly cleared his throat before he hung up.  Not a North Dakota accent by any stretch of the immagination, you betcha!!  I refuse to answer and I won't get irritated either because then I let them have control.  I, too, work from home and some times I answer the phone and hang up right away.  This works with these robocalls because they just go onto the next and it's awhile before my number's up again.  Everybody have a great day. :)

Called yesterday.  A recording wanting me to thank my senator for supporting some pipeline.   Funny thing is, I do not support any pipeline.  No chance to opt out or get them to stop calling.

I keep getting phone calls from this number and I am not given any opportunity to opt out of these calls. I work from home and do not want to receive these annoying calls from.  When you call the number back you reach a recording that tells you they are sorry I missed their call and they will call me back later.  I wanted to be taken off their list not put on a list to receive another robo call that I can't be removed from.
