MonaLisa scam from Nova
Thank you for your post. I just received a text from her this afternoon. I always do my research on a company right before I have to interview and thought it was fishy that I couldn't look her up and that she failed to mention what position she's offering. I work IT and although there is IT in medical facilities I doubt its that easy for me to get reviewed by a medical company. I hope she gets what's coming to her and the other hacks that's working with her.
Wow wish I knew sooner! I did the online interview with Angela Friedman. I though maybe I lucked out and landed a job . The more I thought about it the more I became Leary about this job offer. On line on a saturday , good pay so I started looking up the company on line. To my surprise I find sites about it all being a scam!! So as I was still on the interview I began asking questions and the check they suppose to send, taxes, the vendor , and more information about this company. I asked for paper work about it all. Well if you a real company after I questioned you , why did you quickly go off line without a response. How rude and cruel of you to scam people that are already down and out! There's a special place for people like you!
I got a text from 951-292-0892 from Ms. Betty she said I need to do an online briefing with Mrs. Angela Friedman. Get a real job Betty and Angela and stop trying to scam people!!
Just got text from (267) 737- 8641 from Jennifer Nichole from Nova Medical Centers saying my résumé has been forwarded to the head dept and respond if I'm interested. I responded by asking for a phone number and physical address for Nova Medical Centers. No answer. Thanks for all your helpful info here.
(951)292-0892 had texted me today with the same thing but it was ms. Angela again. Wanting a online interview through yahoo. I'm very glad I looked it up before anything happened.
very helpful .... just got a text last night from the same name and number and they are trying to do yahoo IM now. I have not done the online interview. and i will not. thank you. --dtc thankful
Received a text from Mrs. Jennifer Nichole this morning regarding a job with NOVA Medical Centers as a work at home accountant. The number was (267)737-8641. Did the interview just for kicks. I was offered full benefits, 401K and paid vacation all after 4 weeks....WOW. not to mention a full time position that paid $35.75 an hour!!! Double WOW! too good to be true kind of wow. She then asked for my bank...I don't bank. " that's okay, send us $550 for software via money gram or western union and we will send you a laptop" HOLY WHAT?? why would I need your laptop if I'm doing an interview with you on a PC? I've been in sales and business for over 12 years, this is not how any employer would contact or conduct business. I reported them to the police. I then let her know that she was a scam artist and that I had reported her, also that their IP address had been tracked from my PC during the past 1 hour "interview". She said "Ooh really" and "Okay" and then went off line.
Please Be Aware I applied for a online call center rep I received a Texted message from Ms. Angela Thomas she told me if I was interested in the job to please respond back as I did she told me to setup a yahoo IM account so I did I got the interview with angela Thomas she told me I was hired. but there's more she told me I needed 315.00 to get started and I told her I don't got that kind of money so she told me that the company Nova Medical Center would give me the money for my training and work equipment. They sent me a check for 1.900.00 . She told me to keep reporting to her online and let her know when I receive the checked and to deposit it in my account. When I got the check I immediately let her know and she said to deposit it into my account so I did. She told me she was looking for honest people But she was far from being honest . So I took the check to my bank and My Bank ran the check and Called the Police It was a fake check . These people are trying to get your bank info to scam you . She will text you from 903-364-7214 Please Beware Its A Scam
What happens if u cash the chekch in did not know nothing about it
She side the same thing to me so what do need to do
What happens if you cash a check but didn't know it was a scam
Job interviews are done in person. Any time you are asked to use Instant messenger, or sign into a web site to do a job interview - it's a scam. Good place to start with these things is to (as you did) search everything about them. Phone numbers, names, address'. Many times you find after doing a search the address is a vacant lot, or Fast food chain. A very big red flag here is the wage. It often turns up in these scam that the hours Vs. wage Vs. benefits is out of whack.
I got a text message this morning from a Sarah Cornor phone # 302-583-3842 telling me she had gotten my resume off of my states job website and that she would like to give me an interview on online through yahoo IM. So I proceeded with it they said I got the job and that I would be making 35.75 per hour and they were going to send me a check for supplies. I felt that it was to good to be true So I googled and found this forum thank god. This forum is the only thing online that talks about this company scamming people. Its sad that people out there do this kind of thing.
I scam from NOVA Medicial Centers. (not the true company) Do not accept their yahoo IM request. Now I have to block the number from my phone also. 903-224-7740 Rosemary Holmes. When I asked her to send me an address and telephone number I could verify before proceeding she said okay... then nothing.
I just got a call from the same number 903-224-7740 from Rosemary Holmes. Thank goodness my radar told me to check this out first! I downloaded yahoo chat and was excited to have an online interview. BUT I was researching at the same time. I declined her request to add her to my buddy list. Now I have to block the 903 area code number. Horrible! I had applied for a few jobs in the medical field so at first I was ... YAY! Something just told me this was not right.
I received a text this morning from (903)224-7740 saying the name is Ms. Rosemary Holmes from Nova Medical Centers. She said they want to interview me for a work from home position paying $35.55 per hour. At first I thought it was legit and then I began to wonder about it so I googled the phone # and found this website. I'm glad I did not give out my Yahoo IM info as was requested in the final text from her!
Yesterday, I got a text message from 903-224-7740. Offering me a job interview via YahooIM. During the interview everything was believable until at the end the JURK Rosemary Holmes said "You got the job and we will send a check for $1,700 for software materials for you to buy. Then I started getting suspicious and alert, that it was nothing but a scam. God is washing and will take revenge for me and everybody else. It is just of matter of time.
Like Wesley, I JUST got a text from "Rosemary Holmes". She'd seen my profile on youremployment.com (on which I never actually finished filling out a profile so has VERY LITTLE info on me) and was kept referencing job "offer/interview" not even just interview, so I was skeptical. I asked her to email me more info and gave her my email and she sent hourly rates to work from home for "pay rate is $35.55 per hour for working hours and $23 per hour during training hours". I actually do recruiting and compensation, and I know that was far too good to be true as that compensation is way out of line with what anyone pays, particularly if they are recruiting anyone and everyone whether there is profile/resume info or not. I also looked up Nova Medical Centers and Rosemary Holmes and thought interesting that they didn't have anything like this posted on their careers tab on their website and that this woman wasn't on LinkedIn (all recruiters are on LinkedIn). So, I haven't replied. That said, I found this thread of comments by searching the email she sent me... "email@example.com" because the phone number search I'd done first for "903-224-7740" (not the number you all are responding to) had NOT turned up anything, so now I have to go start a new thread for that number as well. Thanks for everyone's help. I'm sure they will just start a new number and/or email. I wish there were better ways to stop this stuff but I'm glad we at least have forums like this! I'll include the other names and phone numbers you all referenced for anyone else searching as well.
I just recived a message from a Mr. Davis about an online interview. They said I would be working from home for about 3 months till they setup the office in my area. This is the number I recived the text from 1 (413) 200-2751. They stated they wanted to do an online interview with me though yahoo messenger. my screen went totally blank. I'm glad it did if this is a hoax. This company should be a shame I will be reporting them. There promising you get paid $30.50 an hour. Thats when I google them to see if it was a scam. Truly sad in this economy people would do such scams. People are looking for legit companies.
I was just involved with the same scam except this time they use the name Rosemary Holmes and the number is 9032247740 which I traced to Brownsville Texas. Offered me the job and then was to e-mail me forms to fill out. I realized it was a scam before I gave out any information they did not already have from my online resume. The concern I have is that I was on the IM through Yahoo for almost 2 hours and I am wondering if they hacked my computer during that time.. Not sure how to proceed or protect myself from identity theft ect.. at this point I don't know what I should do.. These people need to be stopped!
I got this text MSG, I even did the interview. Of course they offered me the job. Thought it was a little fishy so delayed signing up. I was told i would need to purchase software to get started, $450.00 from their provider. This is when I really became suspicious. What a load of crap, they make it soun real. Nova Medical Centers really exists and Angela said she represented the center in India(really exists). Even got paper application with their logo and info on HIPAA laws.
My mother recieved a text about an online interview from nova medical, she did the interview gave out no personal info, and told me she got the job, needless to say i thought it was a scam I looked up the number ,it was Minnesota, Mr chad Carson said he was in Florida and they were based in bangkok, I called the number several times no answer so I left a message and I texted no response. I called nova medical centers in texas they don't do online interviews or text about an interview, I gave them the number that called my mother and a copy of the interview that we saved online. They also don't have employees working from home all over the country. Further I contacted the police and fraud unit. I'm angry they would take advantage of people , they will be caught.
help me to delete my post
Tell me how to delete my post
I got a txt msg from ms. Angela Thomas and she said she saw my resume on a job hunter website. She told ne that it is not a hoax. She also said that I would recieve a check to get my mini office started and I would be getting a laptop in the mail ad well. One if her first???were the name ofbmy bank.
Mike in MD
The actually is a Nova Medical Center in Ashburn, VA a northern VA suburb near Wash, DC but I seriously doubt they are using a Texas firm to solicit for work-at-home employees. Be leary of any cold call about work-at-home opportunities as there are often large upfront expenses you have to pay to participate or it is an outright scam.
I received a text message from a weird number, 92466502, from a 'Ms. Angela Thomas from company (Nova Medical Centers)' -- just like that. Doesn't even sound right. She wanted to talk to me about employment opportunities. I told her to provide further information. Haven't heard back yet.
