same just happened to me. got a call from 202 738 4837 saying I'd been chosen for free grant of 9000$. Wanted to know if i would pick up said money in cash or threw visa card. didn't want to give any info out so just i just said cash. I kept trying to ask from where they were calling and/or for what "government" they were calling for. they just kept saying government.
From the looks of it they just started this new "grant" scam.

The phone # was: 202-738-4625  Sheryl and then was asked to call 202-907-8527 a Danny Walters to complete this scam. This is a double scam. Do not answer any questions they throw at you
They started this scam by saying you won a Grant , ( From the US government and the questions to me was how would you like the $$$$ deposited.  VISA, M/CARD or cash.  They make it sound to good too be true.

IT IS !!!!

Go to the closest Police Station, file a criminal report with them (they may not want to take it, but they will, then find the closest FBI office and take a copy of the complaint and a copy of any voice mails, as well as a record of the times they have called you, and if you have talked to somebody give the name in the complaint.  Follow that up on line with the F.T.C. (Federal Trade Commission) as well as the Attorney Generals office (which you can do online).

Make sure that you maintain contact with the various Agencies and follow through with prosecuting.

Obvious scam.. I very well doubt it's U.S bound.

A lady by the name of Susan Zimmer called (very thick accent) saying that I was selected from 1,450 area residents & have won $7,800 in a grant that I don't need to pay back.  I needed to go down to the "money gram" store ... aka Western Union.  I must bring photo ID, my bank routing & account number and $250 cash.  Use the code SZ286 & the phone number of 202-738-1464.  I could not keep her on the line any more as my other lines were ringing.  I did call back to that number to ask them to take us off their call list as this is a business.

This is VERY DETAILED but I believe you will find the following very interesting.

First let me say i am a hardcore republican, always have been! This is not about trying to discredit the Republican Party by any means what so ever! I can not stress that point enough!



This is strictly about my mother and myself receiving constant unwanted phone calls even after being put on the FCC do not call list and selecting the option presented in the robocalls to no longer be contacted. I contacted the FCC, the state Republican Party, the nation Republican Party, my congressman (who is a great man, he did his due diligence), I even contacted the Mormon church to complain about one of their members, Romney, making these calls. Nothing worked.



So i had enough! I took a whole day last week and devoted it to using my expertise to track these scum bags down!



It starts out with millions of U.S. residents getting constant robocalls asking for donations to the Romney campaign, donations to Huckabee for various projects, donations for the repeal Obamacare movement and even lately asking for money for hurricane Sandy victims and get this even ads to sell cruises!



The calls almost always show a 202 Washington DC area code, but sometimes use a Washington State area code or a Georgia area code



The numbers that show up on caller id are all false. They use a voip robocall system that tries to spoof the origin of the call. If you try to dial any of the numbers caller id displays you will see they are invalid numbers. (btw, I will not get into it, but MAJOR FCC VIOLATION!)



Although  his voice is used on the majority of the robocall recording, Huckabee almost got away with this. He took several smart and calculated steps to distance himself. Except  he did not factor into the equation people such as myself. I am a digital forensics expert. I get contracted by the federal government and large corporations to do these sorts of recon projects. So he picked the wrong person to do this to.



Huckabee is not officially associated with any of these groups I will talk about, he just loosely endorses them.

Poltical Media Inc is the actual company who is paying for the robo-calls to be made. So you can see that there is an extensive murky trail that insulates the scum bag Huckabee, but like i said i am good at what i do!



When i first called Political Media Inc. to tell them to quit calling me they tried to deny knowing anything about these robocalls, but after I started reading off all the information I had, I was put on hold for about 5 minutes and another man was put on the phone,. He apologized and said by the end of the business day I would be removed from the robocall list. I have not received a call since!



All of the information is there for you have the fact checkers verify it if you like. I am sure they probably are already used to it, but there is always a few minutes of resistance upon first contact with any of these groups until you state what you already know. Then they comply.



Millions of people would appreciate a story exposing this issue and instructing them on how to make the calls stop. There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of posts on websites asking for the calls to stop! Mmost people have no clue even where to begin to trace spoof numbers and track people like we are discussing. I do!



I stated before i am a republican, support the party, but now in my eyes Huckabee is a fraud and a scumbag! i thought about just setting up my own robocall system spoofing and rolling numbers to call his house, office, cell phone, and fox news every 5 minutes 24 hours a day 7 days a week, but i figured this was the proper way to handle the situation as it will help so many other people.



A last side note, all of the various ads on TV that ask people to call 1-800-599-1068 (and a few other numbers depending on the ad) to donate or submit their opinion, etc are also connected through this same trail.

I GOT A CALL FROM 202-738-5634 AND WHEN I ANSWERED IT SOMEONE ON THE OTHER END WAS SPEAKING SPAINSH.  SINCE I DON'T SPEAK SPANISH I HUNG THE PHONE UP AND EVERYTIME I SEE IT ON MY CELL PHONE I PUSH THE IGNORE OPTION.  YOU WOULD THINK IF IT WAS VERY IMPORTANT THEY WOULD LEAVE ME A VOICEMAIL BUT APPARENTLY IT'S NOT.

I get scam calls all the time and I am on the nocall list. I have started writing the numbers down and when I get a call, I look at my list and don't answer it. my list is getting long.

I did and now im trying to get my money back

I to recieved many alls from them. I was told that HSBC had filed a judgement and if i did not pay this i would be sued!!!  i paid them 600. amd now thee is no proof of payment and still get calls from alot of other collection agencies for a different amount, DO NOT GIVE THESE FOLKS any info !!!!!  i just got my money back todasy from the bank and have decided to file suit if i can. I called the ORIGNAL collection company and they said they never heard of them!!!

Like all of the rest of yall i also got a call from these people. I paid them 600.00 and still were getting calls and letters from collection people. When i told them wjat happened they did nopt care and stated i still owed 500. I feventually got hold of the collection people who I owed and they lead in the right direction. i was refunded the amount and had a nwe card iissued. I am calling legal today to see what else i can do!!!

I received a call from 202-738-4837.  They left a message trying to reach me about by my maiden name.  They said that I had a court judgment against me and a restaining order and that I must give my attorney so case number with 24-48 hours and to return their call.  After reading this I see that this is a scam and I will not call them back.  I do not want to continue to get a call from this number

Join me!! I have called the New York State Attorney Generals' Office, FBI my own state Attorney General's Office and I am notifying every level of law enforcement and every branch. Plus I have begun a media campaign. Also don't forget the Federal Trade Commission. I should say the Better Business Bureau but they are fairly useless. Go get them. I am, I'm going to sue them. I also suspect they have offshore accounts. They have other companies called Greenline Financial. They operate in Florida, New Jersey, Grand Island New York. They are totally scammers. The owner Kenneth Winfield also operates in the Dominican Republic and scams Brazilian and Chinese people. They are full of it and even if you did owe a debt, they can't harass you, threaten you with arrest etc. Give them no personal information. Send all written correspondence by certified/registered mail. Let's Get them!!!

My family and I received nasty calls from this company. They will act  business-like and use court terms but their nobody. Just trying to scare people into giving up some money. Call better biz bureau. Or police. They claimed I would be served for court. No one showed up. Don't worry.

I got a call from United Judgment saying i need to contact them within 24 hours because someone had filed a lawsuit against me.Now that i see how they operate i will contact Attorneys General office to report them

I just got a call from my ex-husband saying that they left a message about a restraining order.  I haven't used that number in over 14 years!  Where are they getting their information?  And how do I file a complaint against them?

Yesterday, I received a call from my son who received a call from United Judgment and Appeals?  202-738-4837.  I had no idea who would call my son in regards to me?  He and his mother live separately from me, and I never give out any of their contact information to anyone?  A lot of question marks already?

They called on behalf of Capital Credit Bank?  The original date for the "loan" was 11/2006.  That's over 5yrs ago?

I spoke with Josh who gave me file number.  Josh told me all the things I've seen in other people's complaints:  summons, lawsuit, fraud, restraining order, garnishee my income, the same stuff.

Who are these people?

Josh gave me a pay-off balance that I can't pay.  I was really upset about the whole thing and just wanted to get this behind me.  Josh transferred my call to Lisa Holms, Capital One Bank with an approval code for a payment from me.  In order to make a payment, they asked for my debit card number which I gave which is the dumbest thing I could have done, but I was afraid of any further legal action.  I was also afraid that my son and his mother would somehow suffer from all this.  How they got their number, I'll never know?

I'm probably screwed!  

Where do I go from here and how can I prevent any further action from these people?

These people have called me several times. They have even called my best friend. But they are a scam. They told me I owe money to "Payday Loans & More" (a company that doesn't even exist) and when I told him I don't owe any money and that he was a scam artist and that if he didn't remove my number I was going to report him, the guy became very upset and told me that he was a debt collector and I could report anybody I wanted to. He was very ghetto about it too. First of all why would a company have a restraining order against someone. I haven't attacked or harmed the "company" in any kind of way. Then why is it that I haven't received anything in the mail like they are claiming. I open all my mail and NOTHING has come. The guy has even talked about a subpeona. Like really dude, really? And they have changed their number as well. It used to be a florida number. Don't fall for these scam artists. If you pay attention, when you first call there is alot of noise in the background, call back and it will be completely silent. It is so annoying but I am reporting them to Verizon Wireless [yes it is a cell phone] as we speak (or as I type)! And I'm calling the BBB tomorrow since the office is closed now.

You have a complaint aganist  you from Loan.com that you closed your bank account stoping them from getting money out that you were loan on 11-12-11 but it first he said on 11-12-2010 and change it when I called the number back. some non English speaking person call me about 6 month ago with the same thing.

These clowns called my 82 year old mother last night.Same BS. I called them this morning and some guy told me i defaulted on a payday loan(which i had never taken). He said i was being summons to court for some BS and also accused me of fraud.I pretty much unloaded on the guy and he hung up on me,which as we all know bill collectors don't do that,I'm glad i found this site before i called.

Received the same call, from a Haley Anderson with United Judgements & Appeals.  Left a message on my answering machine, with a affidavit number, & that I had 24 - 48 hours to resolve before further legal action will be taken.

Hang up on these folks, they are not real collectors.  When they call, ask them for their state's collector's license number.  Otherwise don't answer or just let them go away.  They will get the idea in a few tries.
