This number calls every other night.  It is a political survey for a township we don't even live in.  I called the number back and received a message to press one if my number was called in error.  Hopefully the calls stop.

This number has been calling daily for a week or so.  If I don't answer, the call goes to my voice mail, but they don't leave a message.  If I do answer, no one will respond.  My caller id says simply "Washington DC".
I don't know if anyone was listening, but the last two times, I've said:  "You scum bugs!  I've told you several times to get a life and quit calling here!"  
Apparently there was no one listening or the like to be insulted.
Yesterday, they called 4 times within a two-hour period.  Today, they've called twice, so far, within a half-hour period.  No telling how many more times they'll call this evening.

They keep calling my cell number. I don't answer as I don't know anyone in DC. Someone is just out to bug other people obviously, or collect data on active phone numbers (people that pick up). According to a google search, the number is assigned to " GLOBAL CROSSING TELEMANAGEMENT, INC" in WashDC.  There is probably no human on the other end, so no need to yell at your phone. It only raises your own blood pressure.

This is David Flaherty of Magellan Data and Mapping Strategies. We are not calling anyone using the 202-747-7318 caller ID number. We retired that number months ago. Another firm is now using it, not us. We have received calls and emails on our website from people in Texas over the past 2 days. We are not calling Texas or conducting any surveys there. We have notified our calling vendor to let them know someone is using this number, not identifying who they are, or allowing for any kind of OPT-OUT that we are aware of.

The carrier is Global Crossing Telemanagement, the call come from many places and other carriers such as Aerial communications.

Calls at least every other day.

why would you want my email address when i am already telling you not to call me?

They keep calling my 14 year old son.  He has a pay as you go plan that he pays for himself.  Once he listened to it and it was a survey for a Republican candidate.  I.m angry that they don't have to follow the Do Not Call rules because they are political and the Politicians exempted themselve from the law.  They don't even have to know who they are calling.  Especially made me mad when another # called him with graphic antiabortion messages when he was 11 years old.  There should be an easy way to stop all these calls.

Call from Washington, DC, no message, just a hang-up after about 30 seconds.

I received 2 calls from this number with in 30 mins of each other... I called back the number and a recording said "if you feel your number was called in error press one to be taken off our call list"  WHO is this person? is it some kind of political call???? Tis the season !!

I filed a complaint with DO Not Call Registry.

MY phone # has been on the National Do Not Call Registry for years. I recommend doing the same.
The service states the following "Do not call complaints will be entered into a secure online database available to civil and criminal law enforcement agencies. While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint will help the agency investigate the company, and could lead to law enforcement action."

Maybe if enough people file a complaint action will be taken.

This number is from Magellan Strategies (http://www.magellanstrategies.com/). I successfully removed my numbers from their call list by going to their website and filling out the "opt of of phone survey" form. They stopped calling within 48 hours.

I just got a 2 calls spaced about 30 min apart. The number shows up as  202-747-7318 no ID. The national do not call number is 1-888-382-1222. Ive used this number before.

Unwanted call to cell phone

ckpeck, I too set this number to a Blocked Call contact on my iphone so it will ring silent but tonight they are now blocking their numer so it rings as "Unknown Caller."  I know it was them because they callled right on cue at 7:15, same time they always call so I just filed another complaint and logged the call for legal documentation.

Got 2 evening calls 30 min or so apart as well.  Thankfully, we have this look-up ability now.  It rang to my iPhone which I have set up a contact as SALES CALL and have attached an obnoxious ringtone to.  I saved this number right to the contact and likely won't have to deal with it again.

When I answered, they hung up.  This is called an "abandoned call", and it is illegal to do this over and over.  

Report them at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.  If the FCC gets enough calls, they can levy fines against these pricks.

Someone with this phone number is calling several times a night. When I answer it nobody says anything.

Here's the deal.  Cell phone company's are now hiring robotic calls to purposely eat minutes on cell phones.  Show me the money!  It's all about the money...
