as a charity,  they are exempt from the DNC.    As a scammer,  they don't care.

This is the Kids Wish Network. It is like Make a Wish except that this one is a total scam. Anderson Cooper recently exposed them for donating only 3 cents of every dollar to actual charity. We are on the Do Not Call list and they still called us.

Got a call twice this week from 202-800-5624.  Have been trying to call them back 'cuz they won't leave a message.  Their message says "All representatives are busy, please try again later."  I blocked them on my phone.

Has called my home on several occasions w/ no one on the line.

When I saw 202, I thought for sure it was finally my government grant...

Practically any other area code would be more believable.

Said they were from the Wish Network

Calls once every two or three days, never leaves a message. I've picked up and stayed silent, and after a few minutes, the person will hang up.  Wish they'd think of something better to do with their life.

Received a call from this number on Sunday, May 12 (Mother's Day) while having dinner with my family.  My granddaughter answered and they wanted to speak with me.  Said he was from a make a wish foundation for ill children.  I didn't answer him and I just hung up the phone.  He is now blocked.

This is not a charity, they have a "Charity" sounding name, but they run a series of for profit thrift shops, counting on the kindness of people to send them materials to sell so they don't have to do the searching themselves.

Constantly calling, if I don't answer they don't leave a message.  If I do answer no one says anything

First call from area code 202.  Did not list anything as to who is calling.  Never answered as I check the Caller I.D. first.  If the call shows 1- I certainly do not answer it.  Have rec'd about 5 new area code numbers since Saturday.  All Scams I believe.

I received a call from this number and when I answered no one said anything.

I've recieved 3 calls from this number. I answered once and stayed on the line while no one said anything at the other end. It is a Washington number and I'm worried they are identiy thieves or hackers. I'll be watching my accounts!!!!!

I answered "the morgue". Long pause and the caller asked if this number was (my real name-I am not posting this). I answered that they were all dead. No new calls from this number. Everyone needs to try this on these telemarketers.

They claimed to be calling from Save the Children, asking for donations. Do not give them any Credit card information, They are not a legit source....

Just received a call here in Arizona, Sunday at 1:15 pm.  Did not answer, let it go to answering machine, no message, just hang up.

I got a call from this number--but left no message.

Get Phone Tray, people. It's inexpensive and incredibly affective in zapping calls after one ring. And you can program how you want the call zapped...with a conventional-sounding message, like: The number you are calling has been disconnected. Please make sure you have the right number and have dialed it correctly. Or you can zap it with a shriekingly loud, high-pitched, piercing sound that ill startle the telemarketerer on the other end.

Just nuke the a***oles these calls are so annoying.... they done even deserve to live for all the harassing there doing.

Even when you answer, no one says anything.

I wonder if these guys are linked to a lot of those phishing e-mails too? Hope something happens to them, like being locked away.

Call the Shark Tank TV Show... they invest well in businesses alike what you're looking for... sounds like a well needed product and because it "Zaps" the unwanted calls... I get too many as it is, btw.

we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers and  scammers  working  out  of , but  not  limited  to.....  in  INDIA /  THAILAND /  AFRICA /  JAMAICA    ETC....

they  will  at  times  leave   obviously  fake  messages   that   they  " have  caught  you "  in  some  type  of  mysterious   drug   operation  and    related   fake  stories  / messages"...........(  just  one  of  numerous     fake  stories  )....others  noted  below.............

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc,  calling  to   get  money  for a    "  charity "............all  long  ongoing  scams

Call came in from 202-800-5624  Try and call it back and some garbled message and it disconnects  @ Jenny if this was Make A Wish Foundation which is a very reputable organization they would identify themselves right away, and anyone that would try and scam that organization in particular should be put in jail.  To the 202 caller, get a real job and quit bothering decent people.

I also got a call from these pest today.My caller ID said Washington dc.I picked up the phone and hung it righ back up.I do not care who these pest are calling for at all.They can call these millionaires in this country who have became rich off the backs of others around the world and ask them for money as they will not get any from me.
