Got another call today.  No message was, left.  Came up as cellular call on Caller ID. Never answer calls from names and numbers you don't know nor call them back.

Calls and leaves no message.I'm also on the useless **so called Do Not Call List**.

Recorded call, trying to steal personal information.

I hang up on unfamiliar numbers I see on my caller id. The federal communication commission....www.fcc.gov, will investigate phony callers if you contact them and fill out an online query. I still get unwanted calls even though I'm on a national don't call list!

Get this call several times....never leaves a message.  Must be a SCAM!!

I have had numerous calls from this number.  When I opt to answer, it's a dead line.  When I opt to let it go to the answering machine, thye leave no message.  When I tried to call back, I get a message, "Your call cannot be completed as dialed....."

I was out. The answering machine recorded a sound (Booip) and "hello ... hello."
Initially, the caller ID said "unknown" but later came up with the scammers #.
The area code is Washington DC, anything from there must be a scam.

I see I've posted here about this number several times. Same old thing!

I LIKE the way you think. Unfortunately, land line carriers would lose too much revenue if telemarketers/scammers stopped. The only way we could stop this is if we ALL promised to drop our land lines unless our providers if thy fail to charge telemarketers/scammer double once they have been reported to FCC AS such. The same holds true for the FCC and NSA. they keep their jobs so long as there's a problem.

I like the way you think! But must we spend MORE money for a device that the scammers would only find a way to foil in a few months anyway? The phone company is no help, even if you DO shell out bucks for their blocking services. Face it, scammers pay for phone service too! Maybe if our land-line providers thought they would LOSE

Who ever was calling didn't leave a message and is doing it twice a week

Called but did not leave a message.  On the do not call list, but keep getting these phone calls.

Got a call @ 2:58 PM.  Did not answer and no message was left.  Caller hung up when answering machine came on.  Caller ID said Cellular call.  Seems like I've gotten calls from this number before.

Same as everyone else - this number keeps calling without leaving any message (I don't EVER pick up when the number is unknown to me - figure they'll leave a message if they're for real). I am also on the don-not-call registry, but there are many loopholes in the system which these people exploit. Many of the calls are from services that just randomly call numbers to see if the number is ""hooked up."  If you or your answering machine answers the phone, these company''s then sell your number to others as as "live" phone number, so you will just keep getting more and more annoying calls.

These people called and said they were with the American Veterans Support Foundation.  Caller ID just listed Washington DC but no other name. They wanted a donation but I'm not sending one.i Google the name of their "organization" and I couldn't find anything that seemed legitimate.  It looked like they came up with a name similar to other better known charities in order to appear legitimate. This looks like another scam.

Some silly fool called and tried to make me believe he was raising money for veterans. Told him I should be GETTING the money rather than giving him anything, seeing I am a veteran. Needless to say, he got nothing, and he will get exactly the same, even if he calls every day until Christmas! He is a big scammer!

I've had my ringer off, and just found this number on the ID. UNKNOWN NAME. # looks familiar, I've sure they've bugged me before. But I don't answer anonymous calls.

Charities and political groups are exempt from the Do Not Call list.

I got the same gall from this number.

Called but did not leave a message.

Same story as all of you. Robo call said he was calling from Veteran's. It seems unlikely since they are at least a legitimate charity. I called back several times just to reciprocate and have some fun. As they say, "tit-for-tat. Since all the do not call lists are a total joke this seems to be our only recourse. Good luck!

BEWARE!! The callers are scammers, posing as raising money for veterans! Legitimate charities leave a message when they call.

Received a call from this number today, did not answer no message left. The caller ID showed the call from Washington DC.

Got the call around 5:30 this afternoon. Had company, ignored it, but I wouldn't have answered. Don't know the # and it says UNKNOWN NAME on my caller ID.

These people have called many times.  It just says, cellular call.  I let it go to voicemail, and they never leave a message.

Guess the best thing to do is never pick up unless the call is identified and from a familiar number.  There are so many calls that turn out to be scams and many of them target the elderly.
