Seem this is from local scam artist...calls from India call center had been stop.
Look like they got the voters-list..it's illegal to obtain such document, not to say to use it for other purposes.

These people spoof their Caller ID.
2 things they forget.
-time zone different(they call me at 9pm, add 5 hours in different, it's 2am UK time)
-anyone got oversea call before know, first oversea call doesn't use "1", and no country code display.
It's a local call...mostly from GTA.

We received a call some time back from 2 Asian men (sounded young) also claiming problems with my computer.  I spoke to them for a short while..they wanted access to "fix" something.. I told them my computer is well protected & do not call back.  Recently more calls have come through but nobody is on the line.

I've been getting calls from several "203" code numbers for the past month. The few times I answered, they said nothing. They'd hand up when I left it to go into message.

Today , 203-239-7051 called. She had an Indian accent, but said she was calling from Sussex, UK, when I asked. She claimed she worked for Microsoft, and that my computer was sending frequent error messages to them. I hung up on her.

I live in SE British Columbia ... and got the same phone call with the same message that my computer has been sending error messages

Had the same experience this evening Asked where she calling from & was told the UK. The number is listed on WhoCallsMe in New Haven, CT

I live in Toronto,Ontario and I just received a call from this woman with a heavy chinese accent calling herself "Linda" and claiming to be from a company called "Help PC Online" telling me that my computer has been sending error messages. I knew this was incorrect and a scam but I let on I didn't know and asked for a call back number. The number they gave me for calling purposes is 1 877 337 3618.

It's a shame there are companies out there who try to scam people with things like this. Unfortunately, there are people who will fall for it and that's why these shady people are still out there preying on those who are trusting.

Oriental lady called.  Can barely make out what she is saying.  Says my computer is sending error messages to the server.  This is a scam so they can get you on your computer and while you opened it up to them, they can feast on your information ... banking etc.

I had a call from this number however it was an Oriental lady who was calling.  Could barely understand her but managed to decipher she says my computer is also sending error messages.  It is a Connecticut # calling up to Southwestern Ontario, Canada.  No boundaries when it comes to computers.

They don't, its a scam as I have no reporting to Microsoft and my phone number is not attached to Microsoft. DONT do what they are asking

that is funny, i got the same phone call with the same heavy indian accent jst today, how do they know all the information about us, name, number and address.

someone with a heavy Indian?  accent has called repeatedly from this number, asks for me by name and says he/she represents Microsoft and wants me to turn on my computer,  Says they have been flooded with error messages,  It doesn't make sense.  What are they after?
