He tell me their company are employ by the major IP to do security tracking (when he enumerate it, my IP was never mention but he continue to say he was mandate to track security information from my IP), and my computer is losting information like my password, every key I press when I'm on the net are lost, So I'll loose my identity... (he was never able to tell me what was my IP) etc...He ask me to connect to their server to correct the problem... etc like every other poeple here... a real scam...

I get this call regularly. If I'm not busy, I usually string them along for a while with questions, cause they are just so amusing trying to argue me into giving them access to my computer (Ha!) I know that's not nice, but I figure while I am tying them up for 15-20 minutes, they can't make that next call to someone who might get suckered. Better than hanging up... unless I can't be bothered, in which case I do hang up. Put your phone on speaker so you can do other tasks while stringing them along, plus then they have a harder time to understand ME haha. Get them to repeat stuff. Ask for a phone number and a supervisor's name. Ask where they are calling from; if they answer Ontario, ask where in Ontario, street address, etc. It can be hilarious! Usually they give up and hang up on me.

Got the same CRAP from "INTERNET SERVER MANAGEMENT", I asked if they could confirm what my IP address was, they said 192.168.0. whatever (I stopped them before they ended). I told them that this was a LOCAL IP address, and asked them again what was my Internet IP address, or else, how would they know I "leak" spam ... They argued and I said that 192.168. is non-routable on the Internet, etc. , so they said something lame that I could not comprehend in their foreign accent and ended by saying they did not want to talk to me anymore. HAHAHAHAHAH

I had a lot of fun today! I had a call from a lady that introduced herself as JANE PARKER calling from the Toronto's company INTERNET SERVER MANAGEMENT. She was saying that my windows was leaking personal information and that in the past days I was supposed to see on the bottom right corner of the screen some warning notices sent by my provider. She claimed that she would have been able to check and set things for me. It has been tough for me to not start laughing so I played the game for a little while making a good number of questions but she's never been able to answer correctly (including who is my internet provider) Apparently I know computer much more that her! When she finally realized that she had no chances, she tryed to threat me saying that I will lose my identity...at that point I could not keep my laughter anymore and I told her that I don't even have windows but Mac...well, she hung up. BTW the number that appeared on my caller ID was 4 203 372 0399
BEWARE OF THOSE PEOPLE. DON'T FALL ON THAT SH*T

Got a call from Internet Service Management on this number saying my computer was leaking garbage onto the "local network" slowing down others. I replied that if there was such a problem, my ISP Bell should contact me. He, with a disguised Indian accent, hung up. That's OK, he saved me the trouble of hanging up myself.
To Claire: It looks like they have no qualms about simply hanging up when they no longer have use for you. I believe this gives you the moral authority to do the same when you get their calls. Surely they will tire and hound someone else.

8/29/2012 Work for an ophthalmology. Our office just got a call from "Nile" - guy with an Indian accent that spoke heavily accented Englis. caller ID showed this number. Said he was from England and needed to speak to the doctor about a very urgent ophthalmological. Very insistent about speaking with the doctor. Told him that wasn't going to happen unless he told me what the call was about. After going back and forth for several minutes, he hung up.

Guy with fake Indian accent but I thought it was my nephew kidding around because he asked for my husband by name. I said "you're not fooling me" and he hung up. When I tracked the call to Bridgeport CT I realized it couldn't be my nephew because he lives in Florida. So now I think it was a scam. My sister lives in the same area code but it wasn't her number.

I got a call today (July 20th 2011) with a pre- recorded message saying that this was the last time they would be in touch with me ragrding my credit card (I have had no letters or calls). It then went on to say that I "could speak to a friendly customer service agent" who would help me transfer my credit card balance over to another card (I had to have a minimum balance owing of approximately $1000.00). The message was pre-recorded, in a polite english (native) accent. They basically want you to panic thinking your credit card may be stopped and then they get your details and off they go with the information. I'm repoting it!

individual with what he thought was an English accent called wanting to speak to the doctor and no one but him, When we put the doc on the phone this man started in about how their company in the UK wanted to pay him to do surveys...um...no. When he was told that the call will be reported to the local and federal agencies because they tried to run a scam on a professional office. the man hung up..oh well no scams here.

Just missed a call from them. The message left was about thirty seconds of background noise. Heard the caller laugh once at something another somebody else said, and then also heard him say something like "Come on!", clearly not having realized that he was already in the voicemail message. Heard numerous voices in the background speaking in Indian accents, presumably on other such "important" calls...
