The caller asked me whether I was the one who "takes care of the power bill." She then asked whether I had received my "discount" from my power bill. I said, "yes," perhaps because I don't mind lying to liars. She asked me whether I had already talked to someone about this, and I sweetly lied, "yes." She had no choice but to end the conversation. I suppose we are being targeted because of the recent disastrous power outages in Connecticut and the opinion of many that the power company was more to blame than an act of Nature. These scammers may enjoy success, although I don't know what their eventual goal is.

Three calls in 2 days.  I answer, they hang up.

When I answered someone said "I'd like to speak to the person who pays the electric bill" Told them I was on the do not call list and slammed the phone down.

Caller ID lists it as CT Directory Assistance.  2 calls last night, 3 this morning, always a hang up.  Make it stop!

I received several calls from this number throughout the day. Everytime I answer it, I get a hang-up or no answer. When I call it back it I get Welcome to Optimum Voice Directory Assistance. I called Optimum on line for help and they said it is not coming from them

Caller ID says DIR ASST CT. 1-203-555-5554.  When I answer, no one responds.  Going to try and set my phone to block number.  Really annoying....have had 5 call today already!

Continues to call with nothing on the other end and then hangs up. Today someone says hello and I say hello and they hang up. Redial gives just a busy signal.

Bogus calls, filling up caller id, and unabel to call them back to stop calls.  How is it possible for calls to originate from a number, and yet, if you call back, the response is that there is no such number?

Guy calls me at 4:49 pm ans asks who pays the electric bill - So unwittingly I said "I do, who are you?"  He hangs up .....Wierd

Last couple of nights gotten a phone call from Dir Assist CT at 6:34 like clockwork..always a hangup..How can I report this?

Caller ID says "Dir Assist CT"  - when I answer thye hang up.

I rec'd 2 calls today, Nov. 16, 2011. I picked up and there was a long pause only to have a hang up.

Power co scam- try to offer you a lower rate.  Don't even answer.

power provider scam -they act like they are from the power co and offer to lower your rate.
Tipped me off when he asked me to get a copy of my bill - told him if he was the power co he would have my bill online...hung up.

Just called me.  I answered, heard nothing, then it disconnected.

I have received 2 calls today (11/15/11) from this number. I will not answer it and no message is left.
