This is Scientology, and they won't stop calling, although I've registered with the national do-not-call list and reported them previously. Please report them at the link jaylo listed above!

I just registered a domain name and now I'm getting calls from Scientology?  Ugh. They cross reference my name and social security number 15 years later from when I was stupid and filled out one of their dumb forms as a teen...Cant believe they have persisted all these years later.  Scientology is a scourge.

I reported this number in March of 2010. Calls from this number stopped for several months but just received another one. Won't identify themselves so I don't answer. Caller ID says "Out of Area". If this is a call from Scientology, they are creating a bad impression by blocking their caller ID and repeatedly calling without identifying themselves. Why would a church behave in this manner?

They are NOT A CHURCH THEY ARE A CULT!  They call & call usually from Seatlle, last few calls from, get this, #13871438, that must be a numebr on the moon or something.  My landline is my business fax #, 3 times in one hour.
Said I will call BBB & attorney general for Oregon if they do not stop harrassing me.
Thing is, took ONE class 35 years ago in Los Angeles, realized it was a scam cult, only wanted money and they're like vampires, who'll suck you dry, class lasted a couple of days, never went back, 2 years ago started calling me!!
Mind you, I have moved all over these country for work in 35 years, use my middle name as my first name and got married 28 years ago.
They have social security records I believe. They are a danger to society 7 SHOULD NOT HAVE A TAX FREE CERT. LIKE A NORMAL CHURCH!  Said I had been a 'perishoner", as if!

I answered and found it it is Scientology. Answer and tell them not to call again--you're on the do not call list. And you can go to Youmail.com and set up an automatic message--like the Verizon not in service or a hilarious one--listen to the mental health message. All free.

If you get mail from these clowns do notice they are using bulk rate and guarantee return postage.
Do not throw it in the garbage - at least " return to sender ".  That'll be first class mail ...on them :)

Or, do as I do and add an old spark plug in the envelope to up the weight and thickness. Make their mail cost 'em a bunch !

They are way too stupid to stop sending mail ( left hand right hand thing ) so it ain't hard to use a few hundred old spark plugs up sending to 'em.

That qualifies for recycling, right?

Try " ESMB " to see how sick the "church" of scientology really is/ It is much worse than most people have ever imagined

One of the biggest mistakes I ever made was to get my family involved in Scientology.

Some of them were more active than others, but all were involved. And when I left Scientology, they were all contacted and were threatened with disconnection if they remained in contact with me.

I've been out now for 10 years.

One of my sisters took one course at a mission 25 years ago, was crush-sold and deeply insulted, and never went back.

They have followed her by sending her mail to every address she has had for 25 years.

But yesterday, they called her cell phone. And her husband's cell phone - who never even took a course.

Here's her email to me this morning:

Quote:

Hey Alanzo,

A "not too cool thing" happened last night. {My Husband} received a call on his cell, missed it. I received one right after, and missed it so I called back 206-260-1100. Unfortunately, when the woman answered I asked what "company" I was calling. It was Scientology, she asked if I had received a call from them; I said "no" I must have mis-dialed.

When we were in {US City} I took a (one) class, these people have followed us from {one state} to {another state} for over 25 years. I don't believe {husband} took any classes, I may be wrong. We've never given them a phone number, we got rid of our land lines two years ago; always hung up when they called us. And now they are checking for our cells? The recording on both cell phones give our names. What in the hell is going on?

I get a great amount of pleasure in tossing their written material, we get several pounds a month. But I have to tell you, last nights little "thing" freaked me out. What can I do?

Hope everything is going well,

Love, XXX

Here was my advice to my sister:

Go to the Federal Trade Commission website and make a complaint. Their complaint form is here: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

Next, call them back at the number above, tell them never to contact you again, tell them that you have filed a complaint with the FTC and that if you receive one more letter or call from them again, you will call the FTC and the Attorneys General for the State of California and the State of Washington (the number originated in the State of Washington) and initiate legal action against them.

Do not let these people screw with you.

As a consumer in the United States, you have rights, and you have federal, state and local agencies who can assist you against these people to ensure that they never screw with you again.

These Scientology freaks are unbelievable. Thanks for the tip about the USPS Prohibitory Order (form 1500). I will be sending this in right away.

Also read about the cult stalking and pursuing a young man that had escaped a couple of weeks ago from their  barbed wire compound. The poor kid had grown up in their cult and finally wanted out. The cult is filing "grand larceny" charges him, when all he took was an inexpensive CD. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! When questioned about how it could be a grand larceny crime, Scientology quickly tried to cover it up and say it was 5 CDs (to make it up to the $450 legal limit)......yeah right, f*cking liars, stay away from this cult, they are not to be trusted.

I received a call from 206 260-1100 on October 8, 2010 at 4:18 pm to my unlisted wireless phone.  The women used my name, identified my city and wanted confirmation.  She identified herself as calling from Florida and being associated with Scientology.  The 206 area code is in Washington and another web site identified it as coming from somewhere around Seattle, Washington.

These are cult members calling from Scientology. Don't be nice, you will only encourage them in their delusion to "save you".

Firmly tell them to take your name off their list, and if they don't, you will report them to the Better Business Bureau for their sleazy marketing tactics - then do it. They are terrified of bad publicity - so if you report them, they will do anything to get off the BBB's complaints listing.

Also, if you are getting buttloads of their crappy mail, go to USPS (United States Postal Services) website, go to forms, and print form 1500 (Prohibitory Order). This was originally used for unwanted porn mail, but the Supreme Court ruled it can be used against any mailer who does not stop sending you unwanted junk mail. Thousands of people are now using it to get off the Cult's mailing list.

Fill out the one page questionnaire and mail it to the New York Post Office (address on the form). You have to sign the form and attach a piece of their sh*tty mail to it. In about 2 - 3 weeks the USPS will issue a "Prohibitory Order" against them (you will receive a copy), which prohibits the cult from sending you any more mail. It has the same force as a federal court order, and if they violate it, they can be charged expensive penalties. For more info, google "usps prohibitory orders".

Just got my first call (on my unlisted business mobile phone) from this number. I am truly amazed as to how these outfits manage to build their databases. I'm beginning to think they use a random number generator to simply call every combination possible until some poor lonely sucker picks up and falls victim. I am very familiar with the "Church" of Scientology and their tactics, and actually look forward to the next call. Rest assured they won't call again.

I've been getting these calls as well! It's that crazy scam-ology cult. These calls can go on for months and months! Best way is to complain to Better Business Bureau about their sleazy illegal marketing calls, high pressure sales tactics, harassment, stalking,etc....also if you are getting tons of mail from these freaks, fill out a USPS form 1500 (prohibitory order) on them, and the post office will take care of the rest. They will contact them and tell them not to send any more mail to you, and if they don't stop......they get fined. Form was originally for sexually provocative materials, porn, ......however now a lot of people are using it to FINALLY GET OFF THE CULT'S MAILING LIST!!!!! It's legal and it works like a charm. Be sure to send it to the New York address on the form, you can get the blank form off the USPS website (Form 1500).

I got over a dozen calls from these fools in 2 days.  It is the psycho trolls at scientology, who do not know how to take no for an answer.  They are incredibly annoying, and can bother you for years at a time.  How this is legal for them to do, I don't understand.

I got a call from them at 10:20pm, the woman said she was from the Church of Scientology and then proceeded to ask a variety of questions.
I asked her how she got my number and she said that she was just calling off of a database in her computer and my numer popped up.
I asked her to please remove my number from her database and she was polite and agreed to do just that.

warning: Scientology.  Do NOT give any personal information, they are trying to sell you something, will lie saying they are trying to correct their mailing, etc.  Tell them to cease and desist calling the number they just dialed.  probably won't.  Keep a log of each call, date and time (don't answer after initial request to cease).

Then report it to the FCC at:  http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm?sid=&id=d1e37
