Yes, I keep getting a call from this guy I cant even understand.  He said I better call him due to this debt matter or he will see me in court.  I told him he better take me off his list or I will see him in court!!  What a jerk.  This is harrassment isnt it?  Cant they get fined and a law suit filed against them???

Answer machine says "extention 7990134 is not available"  then instructing you to leave a message.

So I keep receiving messages from a Peter Brown who says he's calling from American Credit Services and there has been a lawsuit filed against me and my social security number( that sounds dumb)! He goes on to say how time sensitive the matter is and to contact him immediately and dont disregard the message. He ends the message by saying now if I dont hear from you all I can do is with you good luck and the situation unfolds on you! These people are clearly scam artists and none of the numbers can be traced.Please dont fall for such nonsense!!!

I recieved a call from a Peter Brown who said he was calling from American Credit Services and that there was a legal matter filed in my name. He said it was very urgent that he talked to me and that I did not need to disregaurd this message. He said that this was a time sensitive matter. He said that if I did not return his call the only thing he could do was wish me luck as this unfolds on me. I called the number back and asked to talk to Peter Brown. The man said this is Peter Brown. When I told him my name he said that I must have talked to the other Peter Brown (FISHY)! When I finally talked to the right Peter Brown he was asking me to verify my information. When I then said he was wrong about everything he said he was very sorry that he had the wrong person. He then proceded to tell me that the person he is trying to reach was in some serious financial trouble and he was going to go on and file the lawsuit against them. He said that this person was going to be in jail within the next 7 days!

I have studied law and know what is to happen and when. He did not say that this was a debt collector and any information obtained would be used to collect a debt. He was also susposed to say that since it was an attempt to collect a debt that the call was being recorded for quality and training purposes! This is a really big SCAM!!!

I received the same call today, they had all my information and told me that I owe a payday loan company $ 300 from November 2009! Which is not true. I just hope that they don't have access to my credit report.

This Washington call has called 4 times today. I told him each and every time DO NOT CALL here again. And he does. I have not and do not owe him or them whom ever they are anything. STOP CALLING!!!

These calls are being made through magic jack. Its not really from Washington, but from India....DO NOT give any info or pay them anything.....I called the attorney general office and they are aware of this.

I have received these calls numerous times from various phone numbers over the last 6 months all claiming to be American Credit Services.  I have notified the Attorney General for my state, the FBI & the FTC.  They are aware of these scam calls.  They also had all my information.  I filed a fraud report on my credit reports and have check my credit reports numerous times and nothing has shown up from these calls.  Just in case though you may want to put a fraud alert on your credit reports.  The first fraud report will last for 90 days and will make it more difficult to get credit for those 90 days.  But as I stated I have not seen anything on my credit report due to these calls.

I received a call from a Mike Smith they had all my information and told me that I owe a payday loan company . I am glade I Google the number because I would neverknown about this scam going on.

The man who called me 8 times within 7 mins today, did not give me his name but did say he was from this company. He could hardly speak english. Everytime he called I told him not to call my number again. So as soon as I hung up he would call right back. Is it for sure a scam? How can we be sure and how can I alert the correct athorities for my state (PA)
