Seeing as it looks more than a little like a pop-up (because, you know, internet pop ups aren't annoying enough, now I'm getting scams in text as well), I texted stop. Don't know if it worked, because Virgin Mobile allows you to block numbers from sending you texts, and I did that almost immediately. Looked into the number to call, and I guess the 206 number isn't the only one sending these texts, the only difference is the "gift id".

Got a text from number above . said , "we have a 100dollar gift card for you. call 877-300-5862 gift id 17  thank you for your visit

 So I called the 877# because I wanted to ask them how they got my number to award any prize to me at all. The woman was obviously not  fom USA. very heavy accent but still kinda understood her. She answered  my call with very fast greeting  I said " what business did I call please?" She replied but not with company name. I t went something like " maam you are calling  Insider shopping because you did some shopping on the internet website  target.com and to thank you we are holding a target 100. gift card for you." T  o which I said
 " no I didn't shop on target.com  I dont even go to a target store, but can I still get that 100$  she was shocked at first because of a longish pause   (  must have lost her place on the script ) eventually after I told her I was not giving her any personal info . she was no longer on the line.hmmmm?
