This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

Thank you for your list of numbers. I just received a call today from "Utility Supply" at 206-397-1131.  I am now going to block out area codes 206, 732 and 973 on what I think is the greatest gadget yet to block unwanted calls -- the Digitone Call Blocker.  I don't want to hear the phone ring, I don't want to talk/argue with someone who insists I should buy something or contribute.  I just don't want to be pestered by unwanted calls.  Period.  I think we all know how useless the "Do Not Call" list is.  I hear there will be more toll free area codes unleashed on us in the future.  Bring it on!  I can block them all.  :-)

I guess I am not the only one getting these solicitation calls.  I don't know who they are, but they should be stopped for misleading practices.

There is no entitlement program!!!! Another hang-up. Shows up on caller-id as Utility Supply.  I am on the no-call list, as well.

Called again and hangs up.  Everyday!!  How do we make this stop.  I will keep reporting them to the Do Not Call Registry.

Receive calls from 206-397-1131, shown on caller ID as Utility Supply Co., several times a day.  No message left on my answering machine.  Understand this is a scam.

As said above it is UTILITY SUPPLY CO.  Guess you have to report them to the FTC.  Being on that stupid DO NOT CALL registry does nothing.  They call anyway.  And as stated above they come under a hundred different #'s.  I have half blocked and they call anyway.

I got a call from 206-397-1131, did not answer and listened to the tape recorded message "Due to a recent change you are eligable for a discount in your utitly bill.  Pure scam clearly.

TO EVERYONE WONDERING, "HOW CAN I MAKE THESE CALLS STOP?"--

YOU CAN'T MAKE THEM STOP.  It does not matter if you are on the Do Not Call list.  The calls are auto-dialing you.  Even if you answer the call and wait for a live person to tell them to stop calling you, they won't stop (even if they LIE and tell you that they will delete your number from their system, they will NOT...they're just saying they will).

The ONLY thing you can do is file a complaint with both the FCC and Do Not Call.  If enough people file complaints, they will do something.  Until then, NOTHING can or will be done.

YOU ALL NEED TO FILE COMPLAINTS.  DO IT NOW.

I continue to get bogus calls all day long...so I just silence my ring on my phone...now they are calling my cell....this has got to stop...tired of running to the phone just to find no message and I don't pick up the phone unless I regognize the caller

Received another call today from this company but under a different number, labeled "Discount Center" on CallerID. I'm posting this as an update to my last posts in this thread. I've already told this company to stop marketing their Utility Savings pitch to me, but they continue to call. They will not honor removes.

So, to handle this, I've done the following...

1. Filed a complaint with DoNotCall Registry
2. Filed an FCC complaint
3. Spent 10-15 minutes on the phone with a representative asking random questions and feeding bogus information as long as she would listen. I intend to do this for every telemarketing call I get, and I encourage everyone else to do that same. I'm sure if I take up 1 or 2 hours of their time it'll cut into their bottom line marginally, and I'm so happy to do that. If we all waste their time, they'll go out of business. It was fun, can't wait for them to call back actually :)

When you try to talk to a rep to get your number removed, they will ask for your account number.

NEVER GIVE ANY ACCOUNT NUMBER OR EVEN YOUR NAME TO ANYONE COLD CALLING YOU.  ANY LEGITIMATE COMPANY THAT YOU ALREADY DO BUSINESS WITH ALREADY HAS YOUR NAME AND ACCOUNT NUMBERS, AND WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO PROVIDE THESE THINGS.  IF SOMEONE ASKS YOU FOR THIS TYPE OF INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, IT IS A SCAM.

Furthermore, whoever these people are, they at times try to misrepresent themselves as PSEG or JCPL to gain your trust (they are NOT PSEG or JCPL; again, they refuse to identify who they are).

This is a shady scam.  As of last week (week ending August 18, 2012), they were robo dialing people using 973-1XX-XXXX and 732-1XX-XXXX phone numbers.  Phone numbers where the prefix starts with a 1 (example 973-158-9945) are not legitimate phone numbers).  After I posted this complaint on all of the prefix-1 phone numbers listed below, they started robo dialing people using other phone numbers such as this 206-297-1131 phone number.  When you try to call this number yourself, all you get is a busy signal.

Obviously, this is not a legitimate company if they are using deceitful practices to get around the Do Not Call Registry, misrepresenting themselves as PSEG or JCPL, and don't even have legitimate phone numbers.

Get calls from this number all the time - thank God for Caller ID so I don't answer but why "do not call.gov" does not consider this harrassment is beyond me.

I've also been getting calls from 206-397-1131. The phone rings and then they hang up.  My called ID identified the number as Utility Supply Company.  I reported the number to the Do Not Call Registry.

Oh, just to add a bit more detail, it was a call to have me switch utility suppliers and "save."

Got a call from 206-397-1131 AGAIN today (probably the 3rd time this week) after I had already pressed "3" to remove my number from their list twice. This time I spoke to a rep and asked what company she represents and she said "Savings Company" located in "NJ" (obviously bull). I told her to remove my number as I'll be filing a complaint.

EVERYONE PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION:

Next time I get this call I'm going to request to speak to a representative and just feed them lies and misinformation. A fake utility #, fake name, fake address, fake everything. Speak slowly, act stupid, BURN THROUGH THEIR TIME. Keep them on the line as long as possible and make them waste their hours! Every minute they don't spend on converting a "lead" is a hit to their bottom line, and if enough people do this, they'll no longer be profitable. So, please consider wasting their time MORE than they waste yours. After all, they're calling to talk to you, so give them that courtesy :)  Just make sure your fake information is believable.

Get calls from them every day. Caller ID shows "UTILITY SUPPLY" and if it continues I will notify the police. These people have nothing better to do than scam other people. So sick of it and I am not well so I don't need this type of stress. IT'S DISGUSTING!!!
