I teach guitar, had the same response. THESE ARE COMPANIES THAT REPLY TO ANONYMOUS LISTINGS ON CRAIGSLIST! IF YOU REPLY THEY HAVE YOUR EMAIL, AND USE IT FOR MARKETING, SPAM, ETC. AND SELL THOSE LISTS TO OTHER COMPANIES! IF YOU'RE NOT SURE IF ITS A SCAM, CREATE A FAKE EMAIL THAT YOU DO NOT INTEND TO USE AGAIN, AND USE THAT TO REPLY!

Same exact email to me on Craigslist for guitar lessons I was offering.  What a jerk.  He had me going for the first email.  No phone number just the Charles Spain name.  Email address is

I DO list on Craigslist for voice lessons, but not for the email to which this was sent.  These emails that are in incorrect English & request this type of service (without prior contact through another student), I traditionally just junk these messages without any action.  This one, because of the phone number listing, made me check out the number - thus my finding this site.  Defintitely a scam & labeled SPAM by my service provider, but still delivered to my gmail inbox.

I just called 206-426-0780 and cracked the four-digit password!  I changed
the greeting along with the password.  I only wish I could see the face of this jerk when he checks his voice-mail.  Ha Ha Ha!
