I've known Denise Muyco for years.  Your description of her, "extremely vague, but had a lot to say," is the most succinct I've ever heard.  It took a stranger to pin point that which I have tried to articulate too many times for too many years.

Got a call from this number at work, 1-206-438-9989, but I was away from my desk. I played the message and it sounds like someone watching televsion, a lot of noise. It's almost one of those "butt calls" but I believe it's impossible because our number is private, only our vendors have our direct phone number.

I believe these calls are tests to check and confirm the recipient ... all kinds of thoughts, one of them is that these people are probably trying to get your credit card number and personal banking information to steal from you! So watch your back!

They call me like 6-7 times last night. It was a prank call!!! The first call was a woman telling me my dog poop on her foot..Then it was a guy and after, the other calls were just a group of people laughing!!!! Since i have caller ID, i just pick up and hang up...

My employer received a phone call today from this number. The caller was obviously foreign perhaps from the Middle East. My boss could hardly understand the man. He was questioning my employment. This is very strange since I have not applied for jobs or loans in the past 6 mon. I called this number back to be referred to an 800 number 18008401012. Supposedly an advertising and marketing company called Martex who works with online companies such as skype. The representative informed me that this number was untraceable and the call was from a skype account. This number is a generic number that can be used to display on caller id??? This is very suspicious to me. I hope I am not becoming a victim of identity theft.?!? I pulled my credit report and do not see suspicious activity yet.. I just do not understand why anyone would be calling for my job verification from overseas using a skype account?!? Any advice would help!

Received a phone call from a "SHARON' claiming she is from  a collection agency. Ironically, I had just finished a law course on collection agencies and knew the important questions to ask. I did not provide her with any information (my name, address, names of other people...). I then calmy asked her for the name of the Collection Agency, her employee number, and the telephone number of the agency. She refused to provide that information inspite of Ontario law that says I have the right to know this information. She then told me to "go back to my trailer park where I came from."  I think I may take her up on that offer...I need a get-a-way!!! The point being, do not disclose any information, including your name, to this SHARON or any individual phoning from 206-438-9989.

@KP: Denise Muyco she is a consultant.  If she asks you a lot of questions, I think you can assume that she is researching your company for one purpose or another.  I would advise you to be very circumspect about sharing information, including any personally identifiable information about yourself.

Discovered this number being used as my caller ID when making calls via Skype.

My office just got hit with a whole bunch of prank calls ranging from 'why are you so racist?' to gunshots being played from a soundboard.

Call from this number yielded a person of admitted pakistani decent.  He said he could not speak english.  I saidi could not speak pakistani and hung up.  

When is this crap going to be stopped.  I pay for the use of my telephone.  Why are there so many garbage calls?  If this is a call centre phoning Canada then hire a person who speaks english WITHOUT an intelligible accent.

Got called from this number and I picked up and the guy said "Hi, whose this?"  So I said who are you looking for? and he said "is this [my business company]?" and I said yes it is how may I help you.  Then he said "Ok never mind I will take this in a different direction!?!" and hang up the phone....

Quite often i'll answer them as a fax call and let it buzz

Got 3 phone calls from that number this week. Today, 2. First, a woman only said "Allo" and hung up. second, hung up after i answered.

We've received a bunch of calls form this number too. When I pick-up the phone, nobody answers. Not sure either what to do!!

We've just received about 15 calls in the last 10 minutes from this guy - thick East Indian accent, asking for different random names - probably hoping to finally make a "hit" with someone answering.
Calling the number it comes back with a recorded message, "Martech Click and Call with Skype".  So call Skype to complain and maybe the better business bureau?  Not sure what else we could do to stop this crap.

Just received this call at our business.  Connection was horrible, could hardly hear what he was saying. Then came the best part - he was trying to get us to switch our phone lines because it was only $24/month!  I literally laughed out loud, and told him I didn't care how cheap it would be if my business line sounded like the one he was calling from and my customers wouldn't be able to understand me - thank you and please do not call again.  I'm guessing they may want to re-evaluate their marketing plan.....

I GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AND THE GUY WAS WHACKING OFF INTO THE PHONE AND TALKING DIRTY LMAOOOO and he accused me of wearing a brown skirt too which was totally derangeeddd

I have a Skype account and noticed calls through this service will display on your cell/mobile phone the above number.  This is a huge problem as we have no idea the identity of the caller.  So all the above conflicting comments trying to determine the caller are correct, we have no idea who is calling and from where?

A good number to block.  Just got the call too.

Solicting advertising sales. Does not understand the Do Not Call list in Canada as said "it does not apply". Said they will call back this afternoon and everyday morning and afternoon simply because I complained about their call. Sales reps name was George.

Let it go to voicemail.  Very handy having caller ID and a quick link to WhoCallsMe when it's an out-of-region caller.

Lady called with an offer to promote my company website on Google. Hard to understand . Very persistent. When I explained that our webmaster took care of all we need she starting again with "Yes but..." and went on again.
I stayed polite and informed her our conversation was concluded.

Someone has called my cell phone provider from this number 11 times today, trying to add international calling to my cellular account.  They knew the authorized person's contact name and all 15 cellular numbers attached to this business account.  I called the number back from a pay phone using *67 and a recording answers saying Thank you for contacting Martech's Click and Call advertizing.  I am unsure how to stop this person from trying to access further information or making changes to my cellular plan.  Caller has been identified as male, with a very heavy, thick accent.

I just google searched this number and found this forum. This woman called me from this number, first asking to speak to someone regarding our new development, said she knew someone who was affilated with our company, but knew nothing about the company. Then went on to ask about our data system. She was extremely vague, but had a lot to say. She's called me three times. The last time just now, to which I just sent it to voicemail. She says her name is Denise Muyco and she works at Muyco Associates. I've let my bosses know about this and I really think this is a big ol' scam. She wanted to actually meet with someone at my work place. Just be ware.

I get phone calls from thia phone number everyday but never answe, last night my wife set up an account with skype to talk to one of her friends overseas and we tried mycellphone and gues what number came out? This, so there is really no way to tell who's calling from it.

Got a call from this number. Caller asked to speak to manager which is me. They then asked if my POS (Point of Sale) system was working. He said that his company was checking to make sure our POS was working fine this week. I then asked what company he worked for and he would not answer me. We have a head company that handles our POS as we are under a big banner name. Caller then hung up.

Got a call from a girl asking for my husband (knew his first name) and seeing it was from Washington I went into my "asking question mode"  Like... did we solicit her call?  She would not answer that question and she tried to change the subject.  I reminded her that she had not answered my 1st question.  She got rude and said I did not answer her question in regards if "my husband was home to take this call"  Knew then she was not a serious contact and had to be a telemarketer...They always get nervously abrupt and rude when asked the simplest questions that would be easy to answer if it was a legitimate call.  Told her not to phone again.  We'll see.......
