Yes I wonder. I have a pay as you go phone AT&T that costs $2 a day when used nothing a day if not used. I wonder if it is a trick call to make me answer my cell phone so they can charge me the $2 for doing so?

I'm not even a subscriber and they call every day. Never leaving a message. Why don't they leave a message so I can see what they want??? I don't answer it because it's always inconvenient for me to run to the phone when they call.

@10:33am to personal cell...a private number not given out to anyone but close family! They "WILL" be reported to a supervisor at Sea Times w a clear msg " Un-associate yourselves w this number because you'll continue to lose subscriptions over this". I doubt they want that to happen?! Also, I see complaints going back to 2007 what's the problem, why doesn't Sea Times care as much about this as they do about selling papers? It's like tripping over dollars to pick up pennies if the calls are truly about a savings coupon book! People nowadays get their news and coupons online so if they want to stay viable in the market, Seattle Times better shut this down! Grrrrrrrr!

Called the past three days at noon, 11:45, and 1:15. No message.

They called two times today and didn't leave a message. When I called the number back there is a message that says, "Thank you for calling about our Savings Source and Sunday Select Products." Then it said that I could have them send me "select savings every Sunday to my phone" and to leave a message. Well, not sure what number they think they have, but they are calling my Microsoft office number, not someone's personal phone.

I've gotten 6 calls from this number since June 27, 2012, no messages. Never picked up because they're calling my cell, which I only use for friends/family. Glad I found this thread, because I would never have known who they are. Will pick up next time and tell them to stop calling me. I don't even subscribe to the Seattle Times, so I have no idea how they got my cell number in the first place.
Willaby 2012-06-27 20:13:24 Unknown
no message left
Ya-Hoody 2012-05-25 18:28:45 Unknown
I've received several calls from this number, the caller ID only says "Seattle Times". I rarely call numbers back, but did this time figuring I can always block it. I got a voice mail saying it belonged to "Tom Greenside". From the other posts, it's a junk call and I'll block it.

My cell phone (which I seldom use/answer) logged three calls from 206-652-6587 in the past two days. No message was left.

If this has been going on for months or years with the same phone number, why haven't they been repeatedly fined for violating the Do Not Call Registry?
Certainly others who have been contacted have registered a complaint as I did this morning.

Received several calls with no message left from this number. When I finally answered, it was some guy saying he was from the Seattle Times and wanting to give me free coupons. Don't we already get ads and free coupons in the paper???? And why would they have to call to give you free coupons? I was worried it was a scam until I looked on here and saw other people said it was really the Seattle Times. I love the newspaper and hate to see them going down the toilet, but this sure isn't going to help harrassing people with unwanted calls.

This is the 3rd time they called in past 2 days...
I finally decided to answer the call....I used to have Seattle Times subscription but cancelled years ago.
They said this is NOT a sales call. There is nothing to buy but they would like to drop off some coupon book for me and just need my permission. They already have my name and address too so they read those info back to me (I did not have to give them those info) so I said yes. That's it.
so go ahead and say yes to enjoy the saving and hopefully they'll stop calling.

Unsolicited and unwanted call. They left no message

Getting multiple calls a day from this number! How did they get my cell phone anyhow?!!!! Its just a sales call from the paper trying to get you to subscribe to home delivery!
Y 2012-04-09 18:39:46 Unknown
Caller hung up when I answered the phone.

I keep getting several calss a day from this number (206) 652-6587...absolutely ridiculous. I went through a similar situation with the Seattle Times a few years ago. Dont ever give your number to those desperate and irritating dimwits. I have no idea how they got my cell number but I called and told them to stop F'n calling me!
South Seattle 2012-02-17 18:25:33 Unknown
Missed the call and no message so looked it up and found what you all had to say so immediately added this number to my "REJECTED NUMBERS" option on my phone. Same with that disgusting "011" as well as a few others. Really appreciate being able to look up these idiots like this --they're desperate and getting out of control and we need to cut them off. Thanks again to everyone who has taken the time to help others of us find out who is harassing us. TAADAHHH

He left message. Had my name (creepy) which isn't on my outgoing VM and then made a rhyme with it.....very creepy. Caller ID said Seattle Times and phone #. Almost scared to call it. Deleted from VM but if it happens again, and if creepy, I won't only call and complain, I'll call the police and report it with the recorded message.

They have called a few times with no message left. Other posts mention Savings Source as the reason for calling. A few years ago I called them to stop delivery of those coupons that came every Thursday via the United States Postal Service.
HY 2011-12-07 18:50:59 Unknown
called me on my cell # and wants to update my address to mail me these saving coupons, I ask them to take me off their list and he insist that in this economy, these are savings. i asked how often they would mail them, he says they mail out in Feb. Again, I ask to take me off their list, just delete me, he insist they just want an updated address and its free to me and they are local stores, I finally update my address and he finally ended the call.

Add me to the list of annoyed citizens! What is with these people???????? Ok, so yes, I have received numerous calls from 'The Seattle Times' several times a day. I am about to turn the ringer off my phones, it's that annoying. They never leave a message. They keep calling. I never answer. Maybe I should next time and tell them to ________ (add anything you wish). I don't subscribe and don't plan to.
