Received hang up call from this number. Called back and got recording that number had been disconnected.

This is a spoofed number. The business they mention in the prerecorded message doesn't exist. So either they're looking to scam you, or they're looking for live numbers to sell to other robocallers. Either way, they're the scum of the earth.

Just got the scam call. I think it's the second time I've gotten it. If this were an actual business in the 206 area code, caller ID would actually say their name instead of "Bainbridge, WA." People here are probably correct in saying that it's a spoofed number looking for live numbers to resell or a scammer.

Same problem as everyone else reports, this is a Scam don't fall for it. The number that appears on caller ID is not a valid number. When you try to call it back it says it has been disconnected.

Same result as everyone else. I chose the option to book an appointment. Naturally, when I asked politely about their company they hung up on me.

Just got a call from this number and they left 28 second message. I tried to call back to see who it was and number sys it was disconnected.
imp 2011-09-16 05:14:03 Unknown
Received 2 calls, never left message. ID read BainbridgeIs.WA
mikey 2011-09-14 23:17:48 Unknown
Same thing. They are probably spoofing the number they are calling from (same as the poly-tics do when you get the 000-000-0000 number on the caller ID). There are business out there that offer the spoofing as a service (for a fee of course). Same message about the carpet cleaning. We are also on the DNC list.

same as everyone else. pressed 1 and when I asked to be removed from their list as I was on the do not call, immediately hung up on me. Reported them to FCC.

Just dead air then hung up.

Received a call from this number on our landline. Our handset doesn't work so I called back the number and a recording stated that it was disconnected. Odd since I repeatedly get calls from them.

Another victim of a call from "Mike with the carpet cleaning company." Pressed 1 to "schedule an appointment", said "My number is on the do not call list." The operator said, "Okay, sorry" and hung up.
Dane 2011-09-06 22:01:02 Unknown
Same here, except it left me a voice mail. CID Number is disconnected. Reported to FCC
Ken 2011-09-06 20:25:04 Unknown
Lame. Won't leave a msg, and if you call back it's disconnected.
gruwellfam 2011-09-06 17:29:06 Unknown
I hear you!! I am on the list and I tried to call back with the same results????
gruwellfam 2011-09-06 17:27:20 Unknown
I did too. I tried to call back but it would not go through. I wonder why?
SDN 2011-08-24 18:37:02 Unknown
Caller ID said Bainbridge Is WA. I didn't answer.
Karen W 2011-08-24 18:01:52 Unknown

Call this morning from 206-855-8239. Auto recording promoting "carpet cleaning services" with options to get a call back, order services, or #9 to be removed from their list. When I punch #9 - it asks to enter my phone number. That's BS. The fact is the software is designed to "mark" that phone number as "live", and this cleans their dbase records. The goal is to be able to "own" a list of live phone persons to call, and sell that list to others. It's probably a credit card scam anyway, no real services at all.

Robo call from "Mike with the carpet cleaning company." Described a "special" on three rooms. Then Press 1 to schedule an appt. 2 to have a scheduler call you back or 3 to stop recieving calls. I pressed 1. I asked for the name of the company and the woman who answered sad, "Instant Carpet." When I asked for a contact number she hung up...

Blank call from this number.

Same experience as everyone else: CallerID says "BainbridgeIs,WA" and call back gets recording that the number has been disconnected. My number is on the DNC list, but I have given up reporting violators because it seems to do no good.
Barry Hill 2011-08-12 20:40:00 Unknown
Left no message. Calling often. Might be carpet cleaning service. I'm on NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.
When I call them back to request removal from their call list, a message says the phone number has been disconnected. WTF!!!
Ambrose 2011-08-11 21:14:05 Unknown
They called me at 11:36, but by 1:45, their number had been disconnected? Weird.
scn 2011-08-11 18:56:46 Unknown
phone number not in service ,why did I get two hangup calls?
Eric 2011-08-10 17:31:01 Unknown
I just got a robo call from them, giving me three options: press one to schedule carpet cleaning, 2 to get more information and 9 to never be called back. I hit "1", and the voice on the line said "Do you want to schedule carpet cleaning?" I replied that I wanted to know who was calling me as I was on the 'do not call list'. They hung up on me. No internet reverse phone directory will give me their name for free.
Joe 2011-08-08 19:24:19 Unknown
I reported them as well, though the phone # claims to now be disconnected.
kevin 2011-08-08 18:19:54 Telemarketer
Got an automated call from this number a few minutes ago offering a carpet cleaning special since they're "working in my area". I had options to sign up, have them call back later, or not be bothered again. Reported them to the FCC instead.
