I've already gotten two calls from people "wanting to lower my interest rate" and it's only 2 pm!  This time, I pressed one to speak to a live operator.   I told her to quit calling me every hour, that I've never HAD a credit card balance in my life, and will NEVER be needing their service of 6 1/2 percent.  She said "Mam, I LIKE calling you every hour and will CONTINUE to do so!"  Can you believe it?  Not only do they make you run to your phone from all over the house, but then get really cheaky and mean saying they really don't care what your feelings are about them calling you and bothering you!  PLEASE REPORT ALL SPAM CALLS TO "do not call complaints!"  I do.  It's a pain in the butt but this has GOT to stop!  Why is the gov. NOT doing something about it, I wonder???

There are complaints about this 'card holder services' number going back to May of last year. I reported the call I received today, for all the good it does.

I have been getting calls from this number for months. Sometimes twice a week. I never pick up on the call.
My answering service  picks up the call. This call comes up on caller ID as CARIBOU-207-493-2647 ME. It has also came from another number with the same message!
I also have  a do not call list on my phone number. I have an  unlisted number with the phone company, i pay extra to have it unlisted!

I don't know how many times I have received these calls from the same outfit.   I have asked repeatedly to be removed and it does not happen.   I have complained to the so-called Do Not Call list and that does no good. The Justice Department is probably as ineffective as their Do Not Call list, so it must be owned by Card Holders Services, and perhaps Rachel herself.
So much for our elected officials AND any department set up by them.

Sorry you feel you are worthless and full of crap. Thanks for letting the rest of us know that. lol. However, you DO NOT speak for the majority of citizens in here who LOVE America, KNOW without a doubt this is the most blessed nation of any nation EVER and aren't sad little people who complain and are not thankful for anything they have. You don't think we are more blessed than any other nation? I have been getting repeated calls from this number for weeks.  I usually don't answer, but last night a call came in after 9pm so I did, and it was a recorded message about "lowering your credit card interest."  Today I got another call and this time I listened all the way through hoping to eventually speak to a live person. I was given the opportunity to select "1" to speak to a real person.  A man came on the line and I told him I am on the do-not-call registry and told him to remove my number from their lists.  HE REFUSED.  He actually flat out said "NO."  He was arrogant and smart-mouthed and said "Do you know what company I'm calling from?"  "How do you know we don't have a prior business relationship?"  I said that what I do know is that they have to remove me if I request it.  And he said no again, and then said, "How about if I call you to tomorrow to see if your attitude has changed?"

The number shown on my caller ID is 207-493-2647 but no name comes up with it.  A reverse directory search did not come up with a name either.  A web search came up with this page.

I have filed complaints with both the Do Not Call Registry and the FCC.  At this point, combining the incessant number of calls with the unprofessional behavior of the person on the line, I think they've progressed from telemarketing to HARASSMENT. Though seeing just the number of complaints listed here - and I'm sure there are many, many more - I don't hold much hope of anything actually happening to stop these people.

These people are ultimate violators of the do not call registry. They won't id themselves. They won't honor the restrictions. They immediately hang up if you try to ask any questions. I can't understand why the government doesn't sue them. But whatever you do--don't do business with them. Don't even think of giving a credit card number to people this sleazy who have 0 regard for the law

Now they are calling my cell phone.  My number is listed on the do not call list.  The calls always come around dinner time. I opted out but I bet they will keep calling me.

This company ID's themselves as MasterCard Member Services.  I called my Mastercard 800 number to enquire.  They assure me this call was NOT from them.

Could you please have something done about this mess. I'm so tired of these telephone calls from these credit card scammers. Even when I opt out they still continue to harass me and when I finally get someone on the phone to tell them to stop calling me, they hang up on me.

I see on my caller ID they called, but I wasn't home.  I will report them to the FCC since my number is on the do not call list.  I encourage everyone else to do the same (https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2).

I only answer one spam call per number and then I block it. However, on the calls I answer (only because I can't tell for sure if it's spam or not), I stay on the line till the call disconnects. And I never push any buttons - I think that makes them call more. But I figure the least I can do, if I have the time and it's not on my cell (using minutes), is to keep their line tied up. That way, hopefully, it will be a little bit longer before that line can be used to bother someone else. If everyone did that maybe fewer calls would be generated, hurting them financially :-)

Have been receiving calls from this number informing of lower interest rates for credit cards.  We do not have balances on our cards and when I attempt to tell them this they hang up.  Please see that this company is placed on a nusiance list and stopped.

Got my first call from Caribou, ME tonight.  Betting it's not my last but will answer next time and get the low down on these scammers.  I always Google unknown numbers and they usually come up with scam reports.

Caribou, ME was in my caller ID...Got my first call today. I never pick up any calls I don't know and usually they quit calling after a few tries and if that doesn't work I program my phone not to accept a certain number. So much for the do not call list....so much for our bs goverment. so much for money hungry doctors...This country is really starting to suck... We are on our way down to third world status. I am SICK AND TIRED of getting calls during dinner from this number. it is RIDICULOUS! I pressed one to "lower my interest rate" just to get a human on the phone. I got some woman who said hello and asked me if i pressed one to lower my rate. I said, "No, I pressed one to find out what this call was about." she got a bad attitude and said, "ugh, it is to lower your interest rate" I told asked her if she worked for any of our current credit card companies and she said no. Since she got a poor attitude I decided to return the favor. I said, "So basically you are calling my house every day, disrupting our family dinner time, soliciting us? I don't WANT any service from you. My current credit card company offers the lowest rate available, they have great customer service, and best of all they don't use solicitation on their customer!" She got pissed and said, "Well EXCUSE ME for trying to help, sorry to BOTHER you, just disregard this call" I started to say something (please take us off the call list) and she hung up on me while I was talking.

In the past week I've received a large number of telemarketing calls to my cell phone. I've had this number for years and rarely ever gotten them before. Apparently I'm now on someone's list. This one comes up "VisaAssist" on my caller ID. These are obvious scams that try to induce you to give them confidential financial and personal information that they then use to perpetrate identify fraud.

I pressed #1 to speak with a live person who, under the guise of wanting to lower my credit card interest, solicited my SSN, address, credit card numbers, etc. Instead, I asked him to remove me from his call list. We'll see.

Same BS message, Same style of using a completely fake number that is neither toll free nor out of area to prevent call blocking equipment from rejecting the incoming call, and to make it more likely for you to pick up.

It is very important to file an FCC complaint anytime you receive calls like this.  If enough complaints are registered, eventually these calls may stop.

Whoever these people are they call almost every day. It starts off with a recording telling you, you are eligible for a lower interest rate on your credit card. We do NOT need a lower credit rate since we do not have balances on one. At first I would just hang up but the last few times I thought you know I'm tired of this. The only option they give you is #1 and it's to talk to someone about lowering your interest rate. So when I get a person I ask them nicely to remove my number, they hang up on me. Another number they use is 202-367-9951. I'm sure there are others but I've now erased them. They are just a big pain in the neck.
