I've had irritating phone calls on my cell if it keeps up i'll just have to change my cell phone number who ever the a***ole is.isn't

STOP CALLING ME

these people call every day at all different hours, I answered the phone once about a week ago and they said they are the CDC, I told them I am on DNC list and they informed me that they had a right to call me as they are not telemarketers....I don't care I told them "do not call me again"..they don't care because they keep calling..never leaving a message on my machine.  I screen my calls but it is still a nuisance and I hope it stops soon...an unwanted call is an unwanted call period...

they are calling 2 times each day and have called for past week.  I finally answered and told them I am on DNC, they don't care said they were CDC and could call me anytime they want..I hung up on them and they called back..Now this is Sunday and they just called..it needs to stop getting fed up.

They bhave b een calling me relentlessly too.  I did receive a letter explaining the survey and I did answer when they called,  but I am almost certain that it was a different number.  Unfortunately, I can't be absolutely sure about that.  Anyway, the gentleman introduced himself, was polite, explained it was a health survery authorized b y Maine DHHS and the CDC -- I told him I didn't want to participate, and he tried to explain further -- told him I understood the purpose of the survey but that I still didn't want to participate, that it was more of a philosophical issue.  He was very polite, thanked me and hung up.  I checked out the company, they are legitimately a survey company assigned to this particular survey.  However, since all of that happened last week I have been getting this calls from Augusta several times a day, just like the rest of you.  The letter I had received had contact information on it; I've thrown it away.  I suggest that you call the office of the Commissioner of the Maine Department of Human Services and explain the problem -- go to the maine.gov website to get the number for DHHS.  By the way, I have also received a couple of paper versions of this survey.  Even though they say they randomly select phone numbers and everything is confidential, I agree with whoever thought the questions were too personal and made me very uncomfortable.  I also can't imagine what Maine State government as a public entity could possibly do for my medical status. They can get the stats, including diagnostic codes,  from whoever pays the claims, and that would  be completely anonymous.

These people won't leave me alone! They call all hours of the day and night, and don't leave messages. grrrrr!

guy called 2 times after I said don't call my tracfone cell the first time; he wanted to know private personal info; i asked why a federal agency was calling a private citizen on a private line as I'm, on DNC list. he said it automatically picks phone #s from all phones.  I told him "so of all the phone #'s in the U.S.A. you pick my DNC cell phone # "TWICE?".  He started with a comeback and I hung up.  This guy could be a perv and needs to be stopped.

I am getting very fed up with this. They have been calling me for a week straight, every single damn day. I'm about to answer and give them a piece of my mind.

I talked to the man in charge of this survey. He stated that this is a federal survey and they use the information to control our health.  I asked if this would be used to remove sugar products from the store shelves if Maine has a high diabetic problem and he said, "Yes. And they will use it to make us healthier." BE CAREFUL, BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING! He said that he removed my number from the list.

This number has called me SO many times in the last 1 1/2 weeks! 3 times today alone! 2 x yesterday. I think it is rediculous to call someone THAT many times. Obviously I don't want to talk to them............and the main reason is their inconsiderate way of reaching me.

They've been calling our home phone for two months now.  I never answer it and recognize the number right away.  They never ever leave a message, and they call at really weird times like late on a Sunday evening!  They don't believe in leaving messages.  I don't believe in answering their calls!  And I wish they'd just stop!!  Legit or not!!

Got a call from 207-512-5730 twice now and I am on the Do Not Call list. They want to do a Health Survey.

Same nonsense. They say they are doing CDC work.  I don't think they are legit!

They are relentless. Am on the Do Not Call List and yet it doesn't matter. They are harassing, calling two to three times a day as early as 8am and as late as 9pm. I let it go to voice mail and they hang up. This has been every day, twice a day at least, for the past month. Someone has to stop them. Does anyone know who can be contacted in an official capacity that can fine them. Obviously I am not alone with this harassment and annoyance. How about everyone starts calling their number and hanging up on them and tying up their lines? Do you think that might work?

They have been calling repeatedly, both my cell phone and my home phone. I have told them I am not interested in their survey and not to call again. They have now been warned that any further calls will result in legal action being taken.

Got a call they were doing a maine public health survey even though im on DNC they said legally they could still call me. Even called me a second time after requesting not to be called

God bless cell phones!  I never answer a call if the name doesn't come up in my phone.  Thankfully I didn't answer when this place called and I just added them to my blocked list.  Thanks for the info everyone.

Call your local state representative.  I called mine, and he put an end to the calling at my house.  They do have control of who it dials.  Call your representative and tell him this is an invaision of privacy, and it has to stop.

Continue to receive unwanted calls from this number I'm about to put a block on my phone just so that they can't get through any longer as they refuse to leave a message. If this was legit they wouldn't be scared to leave a message and have you get back to them.

They called me and left a message that I had won an appliance a year ago and hadn't return their call.  So they were giving me a second chance to respond.  If if I did return their call I could possibly win a new car.  Of course the number they left on my machine doesn't match up to the number on my caller ID.  What legitimate organization gives away prizes and waits a year for someone to get back to them?  Legitimate agency on policy for health issues?  Please.

Hi Bernie.  I got a letter in the mail stating that this survey would be taking place on the phone, though it would have been nice if they had included THEIR number so that I would know who was calling and that when they called and got my answering machine, that they would leave a message letting me know who they were.  But it's all on the up and up.

I got a call from this number. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

How do you know for sure this is legitimate?
