Got a text about a craigslist item I'm selling. Here's the message:
"I'll be responsible for the pick-up and the pick up money will be included in your payment to avoid delay and to enable pick up company to schedulen appropriate time for him to pick-up at your location after check has been cashed and fully cleared your bank,as i have other properties to be moved longside with yours.Please do get back to me with your full name and address including your email address so i can make out payment.do get back to me"
Obviously a scam so I said "cash only" and didn't get any more texts.

I got a text and they said they would take item right away. They said they would send a check and send a truck to pick it up. I replied that I would just give it to them, but to text me before they get here so I had time to get my gun loaded. I have seen this scam over and over.

I too received a check for WAY OVER the amount for an item I was selling on Craigslist. They asked me to WU the difference and I knew something was really off! Taking check to police department to report the fraud! Contacted Citizens Bank but they said it was too big for them to do anything about it.

This is a silly b*****d that is attempting to get your paypal account information. He/she will also attempt to send you a check written for an amount way over your asking price in order for you to deposit in your account and then send him/her the difference back. It takes the bank about three days to let you know the check is no good and your out the money you sent back.

Scammer from Craigslist wanting to send me a "check" for an item he/she has never seen. Lives thousands miles away. I stated I only accept cash payment, no more communication from him/her.
