Odd, got my first call from these guys today, at least from this number.  It was for MST Financial.  I've been working with these guys (MST Financial) for months now, and have found them to be very above board, and easy to work with.  Far better than others.  Not sure about all the hate here.

His name is mark and he works for mtsfinancial services a subsidary of chapamns financial services. First and for most do not give out any personal information, he must state who he is and why he is calling you and he or she do have to state who they work for, i had this happen to me and i contacted the department of finance in boise and this is what i was told to do. send them a letter stating all correspondse should be made in writing you want them to validate the debt.  You want them to stop calling your cell# or work # they have to comply. make it certified so you have proof. there website address is http://finance.idaho.gov  you can file a complaint against them, im currently working with them and i would love to post there response letter to the dept. of finance.  The problem with there response is its total bs and i can prove it with my phone bills. :) I may hire an attorney to sue them LOL...

Chapman Financial services, most likely a skip tracer.... if your being harrassed by them you can file a complaint with the dept. finance at finance.idaho.gov  

They need to tell you who they are and why there calling such as this is john doe with chapman financial services and this is an attempt to collect a debt.... if your being yelled at and threatened on the phone and do not know who it is you should record the conversation because i was violated and harrassed by some one the otherday and i was told to record the conversation because two state laws were broken. Also you should send a letter certified to them stating you want the debt verified and that you do NOT want phone calls at such and such and that all correspondence will have to be made in a written manner.

I don't answer to numbers I don't recognize. But if it's a collection call, they must not really want their money if they don't leave a message!! Oh well. I need the money more than they do.

O.K. Maybe I'm stupid or can just be mistaken. What I don't understand is this. How can someone (or a company) buy off your debt and then expect you to pay to them more than you owe? Isn't this essentiallly a financial loan on the part of the third party? And they now own your debt because they paid off the balance for you? Well if that is the case, they extended me a loan to pay off my medical bills without my knowledge or consent. I have never walked into their office and sat down with a loan officer to ask for their help. I'm wondering if their is a way to sue these people for an unauthorized transaction. My opinion is this. You bought the debt without my permission (extending me a loan without my permission or authorization), then YOU own the debt you bought. Plan and simple. I'm gonna do some research on this and post what I have found. I'm sure there is some way to end this harrasment. There is a name for this kind of practice and it is extortion. I thought that was illegal in the United States.

I just received a phone call from this number! The guy asked for an Amber! I informed him that he had the wrong number and that the number was new to me within the last 2 months and he replied "well I have spoke to her on this number before". I asked him why he was questioning me and he said for what I said as to if its my number or not he again stated "I have talked to her on this number (208)819-**** I said yes thats my number and I am not Amber he proceeded to say something else and I said thank you goodbye! His attitude was totally rude and to question if its my number or not is overly disrespectful.

These people keep calling me and i have no idea what about? Ive learned that they are a debt collectors agency but I have received no statements from them and the ony debt i have is from college loans from the government, but am still in college and i dont need to pay those until 6 months after graduation. so why are they calling me? im very confused and dont want to answer until I know what their business is.

WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with you about Idaho.  I've been to almost every state in the United States and lived elsewhere too, and never have I come across such a corrupt, "good ol' boy" state in my entire life.  Good riddance, Idaho.

I am a Chapman Hater too. Please email me with any information on what I can do to help take these rotten a**holes down. I am tired of there abuse and demands or they will sue you. They are rude , uncaring , I cant even write what I really want to say. I want every link I can go to to complain , every thing I can do to make there lifes as miserable as possible like they have for many people and our family for 4 yrs. All of their calls are legal.  Why don't you just answer the phone or return the call and resolve the issue.  You are wrong in your approach.

I got a call also from Chapman.  Their idiots. I started quoting state and federal guidelines on collection, and they hung up on me - never got a call back.  They are totally unprepared for those who can take them on.

You can't imagine what it's like to be poor, on disability and tell the Coeur D' Alene Medical Center that you can't afford to make payments, that you are forced to live on less than a poverty income and can't pay. Days go by without being able to afford to eat, to make sure your Daughter does. Idaho is a heartless uncaring State. Do yourselves a favor, avoid the corruption and constant power rate increases. Chapman Financial Services is a preditor. They pray on the poor and the sick, trying to extract money from people who just don't have it, so their big business partners the Insurance company that owns them can make money off the poor. Idaho Legislature that strips Social Security money from those who have bonafied disabilities. Forcing them to live on an income based on 1950's figures. Avoid Idaho where law enforcement and their judicial system are the criminals. It's a State based on organized crime, rampant with corruption and no drug arrests. Avoid Idaho at all costs, regardless of their propaganda. It is a toxic State in every regard.
