No idea who this person is and surprised to see a name since I figure it is just a telemarketer or scammer of some kind. Hope he or them don't bother me again since they are wasting their time, not mine, since I am NOT taking time to answer or talk to Jeffrey.

Received a call today at 3:39pm.  Caller ID said Jeffrey Pinneo (sure it is lol)  I did not answer nor do I answer any calls from unknown numbers.  This is most likely a scam/telemarketer.

I used to work for Cardmember Services ( U.S.Bank ) and I can asure you the call
did not come from U.S. Bank. First of all, the Call Center is located in NORTH DAKOTA
which is a 701 area code. Don't do business with that bank under any circumstances, though.
They are so crooked and have had class action lawsuits due to bad practices ( reason I quit is
you are lied to about many issues and I can't scam you in good conscience personally. ) The
reason they use 'Card Member Services' as a greeting when you call about your accounts is
because many people if they knew they were dealing with U.S. Bank would drop their accounts
as they want NOTHING to do with them. Other names...E'LAN, World Perks Visa, Conoco, Harley
Davidson Credit Card, Rewards Visa, Fred Meyer, Ralphs Rewards, Ace Rewards, Cach'e Visa,
Gymboree, Polaris, Rei, AeroMexico, Club Carlson, LifeMiles, LANPASS, SkyPass....just a partial list.
Bottom line- know who you are dealing with and never give information if THEY CALL you.
U.S. Bank will not call you to give you a deal. Ever. The call is a scam from crooks trying to hope
you are stupid and give up your information. Reminder: Most all credit card reciepts have the last
4#s of your account on them and it's a big red flag if anyone ever tells you they need ALL of them
BUT for those. Be safe, friend.

As was mentioned in another thread..  Try tracking these clowns down through several country's, or just tracking them down in the US. They spoof numbers all over, and most likely are on the move consistently moving the boiler rooms.  It takes time to get them caught.  It isn't going to happen in a hour like on CSI,lol! Sooner or later karma does catch up with them though! Patience on our part and filing reports does help!  You can also buy a call blocking device or phone to help yourself also. amazon does have a nice selection of devices under 60..

The "card services" scammers actually have very little personal information on any people--maybe a phone number --sometimes a name, they rely on fooling their victim into giving them the needed information by implying they work with the victim's credit card company. Most people have a credit card of some sort, so they use a robodialer which dials numbers in a sequential order until they get someone to answer that will give them the needed information to fill in the blanks, so they can use the unsuspecting person's credit card. According to an article in the most recent Reader's Digest the callers (scammers) are recruited at Narcotics Anonymous meetings. An operation totally administered by lowlifes, and aided by their lowlife employees. As it says in the article, who need to scam people, more than an addict, to pay for their habits?

Have received hundreds of calls for the credit card scam.  Have a nice blocker, but doesn't work well on these scams since they started spoofing and changing numbers so often.  The scam has been running for many years, and no one is stopping them.  The scammers seem to be smarter than any authority who could stop them.  In the meantime, is best NOT to answer unknown numbers from unfamiliar area codes.

You have to be very very careful of phonecalls that ask you to hit option 1 on your phone. This can be a call originating from prisoners that gives them access to your long distance phone service. This information has been around a really long time so am surprised you are not aware about answering options on these pre recorded phone calls. Rule number 1 is hang up. I wouldn't want to get a credit card from some unknown source on the phone. You might open yourself to ID theft that way.

Receive calls from this number that I've ignored.  Finally answered and  listened to the recorded message;  took the option to speak to someone and I asked that they remove my number from their calling files.  They hung up on me and are continuing to call.

First clue with class action suits: The lawyers get 98% of the money won in these cases. Secondly I doubt it will do any good. We need to get rid of the crooks in office then maybe a law suit wil actually do some good.

That's interesting since we have absolutely "No" credit cards. Where do these idiots get their information from anyway?

If you would have read the previous pages of post you would have learned the callers were the card service scammers. Their purpose in calling was to get your credit card number to use for their own purposes-drugs.

recoding says this is the last chance  they say they want to lower interest rates  say they are from
credit card services.  I keep a call log and after I get several calls I report the calls
Name of caller on caller id.  phone number, date called and time called  to the Federal Trade Commission
Everyone should do the same.  I am on the do not call list and should not be receiving calls.
I figure if I keep reporting the callers, the FTC will eventually get after them.  I include every single call and
voice message. I can attach voice message (digital) to my emails to the FTC.  Lets send them all to the FTC
and maybe they will put a stop to these calls for once and all. Find FTC on line and find reporting form.

Unfortunately these scumbags are using spoofed phone numbers.  I have received 7 calls this week, the first time II pressed "1" to speak to a representative and asked that my number be put on the Do Not Call list the "woman" told me "to go fu*k yourself you filthy pig" and hung up;  the second time I did this it was a male and he said "your mother is a w***e and I fu*ked her last night".

There has to be a way to track these lowlifes down and put them out of business.

After suffering from 'SKILLIONS' of these annoying calls I finally invested in the Digitone Call Blocker from Amazon and to my amazement, this has solved the problem.  I now block area codes as well as specific numbers and our household is FINALLY quiet.   These scammers are low life pathetic b*****ds .

This was one of those robot calls that starts out as "your last chance" to let them help you with your credit cards.  When I pressed "1" to speak to a representative, and proceeded to tell the man who answered that I did not want them calling me again or I would report them to the attorney general of my state, I got a response like, "you want to dance with me..." as a purely hateful retort.  I kept repeating the question, "what is your name?"  He continued to bellow into the phone similarly challenging retorts, and finally said he name was Adam Blair, then asked me what was my name.  I said that if he did not know who he had called, he was violating my do not call status.  Only then did he hang up.
