I was busy putting their number into Google when my machine picked up. Checked and half the recorded message didn't record, but it was for some politician telling me to be near my phone at 7 pm tomorrow. I might, just to see who it is. If it isn't a progressive democrat, if they are doing a town hall they might get an earful for their trouble. LOL

Same nonsense--I tried to contact just to satisfy myself by telling some one off- last 2 calls--when I redialed -the message is still saying this number is no longer in service---- I would think there is something illegal in this sort of thing----it is telephone threatening as they have set up a system that says u got my call but I am not allowing u to know who I am-----as a woman I find that scary.....next call I will report to police as a stalker---then go to my lawyer-----

Hi I received a call on my msg center ( I was not at home) from 209 244-7072 --- I called back only because I wanted to tell them off------some one must have  an important connection - the reply I get is- this number is no longer in service=======which is great- but someone should be making an investigation and charging the culprits with invasion of privacy---and harassment-----How come these idiots have the right to invade and misrepresent them selves and we who believe in the law OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY CAN BE CRAPPED ON BY THOSE WHO WE SHOULD SEND TO A REMOTE ISLAND----OR AT LEAST CHARGE THEM WITH  HARASSMENT AND INVADING OUR RIGHT TO PRIVACY,,, LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD-----MAKE A COMPLAINT TO THE PHONE COMPANIES AND ANY ONE ELSE IN POWER....START A CLASS ACTION SUIT----THEIR IS STILL POWER IN NUMBERS.. This number with  Caller ID that says "California."  Recording was from a police official, urging me to vote for a Democrat running for re-election as Mayor of Laurel, MD.  Why hire some firm in California to make long-distance calls in Prime Time, to urge voters in Laurel, MD to vote?

These are hucksters, leaving messages involving a political agenda. Apparently, these political frauds have money to spend on their telemarketing robot-calls. I activated my security screen so that I don't receive calls from their area code and prefix. The best thing is to avoid them completely!

ps:  I'm in Arizona 520 area code, the call is from California AC 209.  We've got local election coming up, I suppose it's some political advocacy group pushing local elections around the country.

Political recording from Jeb Henserling, a Texas Rpublican in Congress, telling me to stay online for a live town hall meeting. This is the second call I have gotten from him in two days form different masked numbers.

He is a big windbag who I would never vote for.

Recorded message from "John" wanting to consolidate debt and/or offer a business credit card cash advance.  They usually call twice a day, calls are back to back.

On 8-01-2011 at %:28 central time we got a call from 209-244-7072.  We let the answering machine pick up.....a recording about some political event.
We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST and do not have a relationship with these folks.
What gives???

Got a from"Stockton CA"  it was a recording from the Lt.Gov. of Wisconsin, asking us to vote and telling how to get an absentee ballot.

I called the number back.  I got connected to two others who had done the same.  They were in my area code (972).  I did this several times, each time getting connected to others who had done the same and were in my area code.

These folks are specifically exempted by law, just like charities can call.

These damn jerks have called 4 times today with their stupid political crap. Doesn't seem to do any good to have your name on a DO-NOT-CALL list. Wonder if they would care to have a baseball bat up against their head?

Annoying calls- they leave no message

This is scary and I do not understand what it is. My cousin talked to me after I hung up with this number and asked me why I just randomly connected to her phone call. The number showed up on my sister's id too.

Update.  Even though the caller ID says "Stockton CA" a robo-message  was left on my voice mail from my FLORIDA congressman!

I actually called this number back to find out who it was and got what I THOUGHT was some sort of accidental recording on their outgoing message.  I heard (in a deep Southern accent), "... then whut thay oughta dew is get on thare computer and get on th' do not call list..." "Do not call.  Piss on the do not call list..."  *click*  

After manually forcing my eyebrows down from the very top of my forehead, I called the number back and someone picked up, "Yella."  .... "Yella?"  I snickered and hung up like a little school girl.  I guess they didn't realize they'd picked up during my previous call.

Sincey they're picking up, let's all call THEM 4 - 5 x in a row extoling our own virtues as people who would like to be left in peace without being bothered by political messages.

Got two calls from 2092447072 thus far. Answered first one and was told that message could only be ansered by an answering machine. I hung up. Next time they called, I just clicked phone ON and quickly OFF.
