Yes i got a call from these people to. but to my surprise i did take a payday loan out and fell short of cash to pay it back so i really thought that this was the agent tring to help me get the loan settled. little to my surprise i felt things was a little fishy at first when i had asked for some papers stating what i owe and i had asked for receipts when i was done paying each payment ROGER BANKS aka Senior attorney said well when your Finished paying if off then i will send you something because i was so nervous and pissed off i just payed then a payment each time he said i owed 3500 but can help settle for 650  i payed them 450 and wehn i tried to call because they didn't call me to remind the payment was due the number was disconected

aaron scott called me about a oan complaint that was fied in my name and i better not disregard the message because it woud mean  was runnng away from the legal matter..

I received a called saying  I had a loan complaint against me and they claimed they calling from Dept of Law & Office.  If you get this number 209-416-3888 ......please disregard and hang up fast!!!  SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!

I received a call saying. I had a law suite again me WI law of invesgation.  The number show up as a CA number.  I am going to disregard.  I am sure I will get something in the mail if I had a Law suite filed against me.

this keeps calling me and saying that i took out a loan for 300 and wants my personal info but i refuse because they dont say who they represent or there name or company they are calling from

I just received a similar message from the same number.  The guy had a heavy Indian accent and identified himself as Officer Franklin (from what I could understand).  He said he was from the office of Fraud Investigation and then mention the call was recorded.  After that he proceeded to state claims similar to all the other post on here and that I needed to act immediately to get an attorney or pay the claim directly.  Once I told him I have never applied for or received a payday loan or any type of loan, he said something quickly and then hung up the phone.   I called back to ask more questions and he said that he would clear up the matter himself and no charges would be filed... I'm glad I'm not alone.  I will report his number to the Feds and let them deal with it!

I received the same calls today and he was a rude hindu a**hole. Unbeknowst to him, I was recording him and when specific questions were asked cause he told me I was under investigation for internet computer fraud for transferring money into my account. He would transfer me to his Sr. Attorney. Then they read the affidavit with the specifics. I asked criminal or cilvil which caught him off guard. I told him to it was a scam as there was a delay in phone conversation, and he could help me he said go to hell. I told told to go f****himself and hung up. I never mentioned to him I was law enforcement. Dummy them:) I called the number back and the guy was so skeptic and told him the DA's office had been notiified and hung up. The phony jack call  originates in Modesto.

I first got a call from this number on 4/26/2011 at 3:42 pm eastern standard time, a CA number. It was a man with a extremely heavy indian accent and lots of background noise. I could barely understand what he was saying and I picked up that I was being sued for check fraud three counts, for some quick cash or cash advance place (which I have NO idea who these companies are) and said I needed to pay immediately or I would go to jail and have to pay 5,000 dollars. I freaked out, and started asking questions about what company is the creditor and he couldn't answer my question. So he threatened me saying some scripted BS about do you want assistance or not bc if not you will get the court papers and have to pay 5K in two days and go to jail and get a black mark on my credit and never be able to get a job.   *Yes, o.0 they said that*  So I didn't give up asking questions about who these debts are from and I got a "attorney" (Roger Banks) on the line who spoke better english and he just went over the same script and said i would have to pay an OCR fee of $300. I told I couldn't pay that and would have to wait until the end of the month. and i would need to fax him a letter and my license...which i did... :(  but after a couple days I stopped stressing and calmed down and started to question if this was a scam...and sure enough I have found all sorts of BAD things on this Oakviewlawgroup, if that name is even true..a bunch of liars. I will not be sending any money and will be reporting "Roger Banks", a whole network of scamming thieves using scare tactics.

Eric Scott called Me 209-416-3888 left me 3 messages and Dept of Law Office do not disregard this  call a legal  complaint againt my name but the first three calls he kept saying someones elses name on my phone number scam

Just had a call from this number. Saying he was going to have me arrested and press charges against me. That I would do jail time for fraud. I dont have a payday loan or what ever the heck it is. This company is harrassing me and I just want it to stop. Who can we report this to?

The used do***e bags called me too. They make a habit of it about every 30 days with a different phone number, same crap, probably the same guy. I call back and make pretend I am the Commonwealth Attorney. I use the her real name, phone number and ask them to fax the documents to me (her). I remind them that their methods and tactics are illegal in our state. The "officer" gets really quiet and nice. This time, they made the mistake of telling me, (her) which company they allegedly represented. W/O further ado, I notified these folks and told me of the problem. These guys are hacking sites for PD loans. Word to the wise, if you must apply for these loans DO NOT go to the sites that claim they will search lenders for you. You will fall right into the arms of these crooks along with all of your info. Deal with direct lenders only; local if possible. Otherwise, call-do not complete an online app. Tell them why you prefer not to apply online. Hard lessons learned from experieince and a little sleuth work. PS., they will also call you to sell vacation packages, new cars, cruises, etc. A bunch of crap! Play the game back on them.

just received a call from this number telling me no name at first , yet he worked for the Department of Crime and Investigations Dept and i was being taken to court. told them to send me the legal documents and I will look into it then hung up. called me again, this time he said he was "Detective Roger ?" and demanded that I listen and jot the information down. I say "ya".I hung up a second time the third time the voicemail caught it. His screaming at me that I was running from the law and look guilty. That I needed to contact them immediately to resolve the situation. I contacted local police. This is outrageous.

I got the same phone call today. I reported it to my local police department but I don't know if it is going to help

got a call last nite and steve austin-yeah right left me that same old crap and he said this is the 2nd time i have called you and i need a call back asap. kiss my as....! SCAMMERS

got a call from this number and his name is steve austin. yeah right! friggin scammers!! sic of these folks and I will call him back and mess up his world. he is a jerk!!!  and you are right ernie-idiots dont even speak english. we are not going to fall for this if that is what they think!! Received this call from a person claiming to be with the Department Immigrant and Naturalization stating that my name has been compromised and that I need to call them or have my attorney call them now, since I failed to call him the first time.  It is a grabbled message and you can hear a lot of background noise.  I work for a bank and my credit, etc is checked on a regular basis....diffinately a scam.

These people called me today! They have both of my cell phone numbers. Called 3 times on one phone then left a message and I couldn't understand anything. Then when I picked up the other phone two guys were tossing the phone back and forth saying they have my social and would make me lose my job. It's clearly a scam but I don't play around with idiots like this...I told them to keep playin on my phone and I was gone fu** they a**es up!

I got called today several times.  Scared the #### out of me.  Now that I know it is a scam.  I fell better.  They even know my social.   What can I do about that,  I kept hearing music in the background & the informrd me it was my phone.  But there was know one here & i had no music on.  could not undersstand what they were talking about.  How do you get them to stop calling, some one needs to do something about this;

Several calls in a row, same moron threatened by telling me I had to be in Jew Jersey court on the 27th of this month and if I didn't settle the amount would be ten times the loan amount of 300$. Even when I explaned that I didn't get a loan in February from his "client" he still insisted I settle.  Kept threatening, and finally I had to hang up.  I told him several times I was at work and he was not allowed to call number, still called, then he said he would find out who my employer was (he didn't know this already) and get me fired.  Hung up again.  This time no recall.....just waiting......

They keep calling, from Officer Joe Johnson US Marshalls office then Officer Paul Adams from Internal affairs its the same voice each time. He says I owe money and if i don't pay 753.00 now it goes up to 900.00 in 2 hours i should contact a lawyer this one is from Officer joe Johnson from US Marshalls office he is coming to get me this was the  first call on March 14th, 2011 he called my work first then when i called him back he threatened me! The second call was April11/2011 this time he was Officer Paul Adams from Internal Affairs  coming to get me if i don't call back ASAP!

Received three calls no on my home phone from a man with a heavy accent.  Some sort of legal message he leaves on the voice mail.  Looks like a scam - will not call back.
