This number just called my house phone.. The caller ID said TECH. I didn't bother answering since I knew it was going to be one of those calls where someone would claim that I had a virus on my computer and would make me go to some website just to get my computer infected with one. I already had another number call my house doing the same thing a few weeks ago.

One day, I think I will answer answer the next time they call and tell them off, but for now, I'm just going to not answer the phone if I know it's a number I don't recognize.

If these scammers are from India, I hope that Pakistan blows them off the map.

If they are based in the USA, track them down and shut down their operations.  We csan do it; we have the NSA, and it knows everything about every call ever made, so it obviously knows about this.

I got the same call...and the guy even quoted my address.  I told him I don't own a computer (even though I do).  He was quite persistent; I told him to mail me the information, and I hung up on him.  Very heavy Indian accent.

I told this person (also with a very heavy Indian accent -- and this bogus phone number) that I would take legal action against his company connected with this phone number -- IF he did not immediately remove my number from their call list. Along with the other things as the others said of him saying my computer being hacked, that they were Cyber Securities "calling on behalf of Microsoft". Then he claimed it was the GOVERNMENT (i.e., the U.S. Government) who was ORDERING him to call me. Then when I told him I'd take legal action against his company -- he then really blew me up, for he stated, "If you don't want us to use your number, then you must be one of the hackers." I said, "LIAR! Remove my number immediately -- and hang up!" He only persisted! So, I hung up, and I want to report this number, that company and those employees -- for this must be some sort of a scam. I do wish a U.S. Government official would get to the bottom of this and call them (for I know they can get past the inability to call that number) -- and follow out to the logical end what the scam actually is -- and prosecute that lying company. They had called many, many times before, and I had refused to answer, but I finally wanted to have it out with them, so I answered, and the above was the result. Let's find a way to stop those people!

I got the same call as everyone else and just hung up, I am on the no call list, so how do we stop this?

Got a call and did not pick up and no msg.  Thanks all for posting now I know when I get a call from this number or " Dir ASSIST  CA"  it is a SCAM.  I see people are outsmarting these idiots thanks to  "whocalled.us"  and 800notes and all these sites that let people check the number from these scamers.  I will block this number.

I got the same call telling me my computer was being hacked. I could barely understand the guy.  I hung up on hin and he had the nerve to call right back and ask me why I hung up on him.  I told him I knew it was a scam and that I had already heard about it.  Then I hung up again.  I haven't had them call back this time. lol Just mention "scam". That usually works.

I just received the same exact call today and said someone was trying to hack into my computer and I should turn my computer on. I told them I wasn't turning it on and hung up on them. If it was a call from Microsoft I'm sure caller ID would have said Microsoft.

Got call from 2095551213 answered to hear heavy Indian accented voice telling me my computer had been hacked. Said it was ok and hung up. Obviously, this is a ploy to hsck into your computer.When you call # back you get message saying "your call cannot be completed as dailed".
Do not fall for this one.

I received the same call that Jen and Mic received.  It was a female caller with a heavy Indian accent.There was a lot of talking in the background as though she were at a call center. She claimed that she was from Cyber Securities and that my computer had been hacked.  She wanted me to turn the computer on and give her information from certain  files.  I hung up.  There was a call a minute earlier from Private 1 and there was no answer when I said hello. She just called again from Private 1 before I could finish this message.

This number 209-555-1213 identified as Directory Assistance California.  No message and return call.  Who are they?

Got a call similar to mic. Luckily family had been using computer when there were the so called problems he was talking about. I repeatedly said I had no such problem. Amazingly enough, by the time I talked to others and learned we had those problems, they had disappeared.

Caller said I must turn on computer immediately because it was being hacked. Yelling tone of voice. Heavy foreign accent. Said company name was Cyber securities and he was a Microsoft security specialist.

Called - asked for Jeff -  I said this is a business no jeffs here they said uhhh huh and hung up

I picked up on the 4th ring and heard an automated voice say "good bye".  A robo call of some type.

I would like to know who this is that is calling me, and where they are at.

I also received a call from this number dir asst. 209 55 1213
