it's a debt collector

They called me 3 times in a row tonight. They said they wanted $263 a month for 6 months. And that the interest was $100 a month. I have never gotten anything in the mail from them as they said they have sent me several letters. He told me if I didn't get a pre paid card and send him money a law suit would be in the works. He asked me were I lived and what kind of jobs there were. I asked what that had to do with anything and he said because I am trying to understand what the problem is of were you live so you can pay your debt because were he is from $1,000 is not anything at all.

I am glad that I found this site and to know I am not the only one out there this is happening to. I looked up the laws of anyone trying to collect a debt and everything they said were illegal. They have nothing else better to do then sit in a room and collect money from people that believe them. They also told me that were they are from... were ever that is... that $1,000 is nothing to anyone, that it was pocket change. He asked me were I lived and what kind of jobs there were. They've been calling me to collect a debt, saying they are a law office or attorneys, threatening me with being sued. I've tried many reverse number lookups, but you have to pay for the info on all. Also, most say 209 is Modesto, but others say it's in LA. I believe they are a 'boiler room" outfit misrepresenting themselves to scare you. Bad debts get sold after being written off, and others buy the info and try to collect the money. You can tell them it was settled a long time ago and if they persist, tell them to PROVE IT, and hang up.

SCAM PHONE CALL

I called back and get a mail box saying to leave your number and they will call back.  No name nothing.  Thinking its a debt collector.
