Call ID read "KWN" - they hung up after the second ring.  After I dropped what I was doing and went to the phone.  SO annoying!

Got the same call from a KWN also, let the machine pick up, they hung up, so I called the call block command and blocked the call, if they cant reach you on your cell phone they will hound your land line.
Also be aware scammers are hitting pay as you go phones, texting and voice mails, you can change your number several times it will not work, the only method to put a stop to them calling your cell phones is call the headquarters of that cell phone company you got ur phone from and have them remove the voice mail and texting feature, until this is stopped and the culprits behind these scams are caught, your going to have to endure their childish behavior, these are sick and unstable people who got nothing better too do then pest people and scam them. also you can report it to the FTC and FCC, best method is dont return the calls.

Got a call from this number with caller id of 'kwn'.  They left no message when I didn't answer the call.

Now that rang a bell, so I checked and found that I had pledged via a telephone solicitation to the Breast Cancer Prevention *Foundation* last year. The pledge card (I was bad and never paid up) has a Fresno address. Could it be that this is a legit charity that employs an extremely bad tele-marketing service?

Got a call June 12, 1012. Left no message. No caller ID registered on my phone.

Tonight it said "KWN" on caller ID.  Call ended before my message came on.  DNC works, but if this outfit passes itself off as a charity, there's nothing we can do unless we prove they're a scam.

received a call today january 28, 2011 at 2:55 pm. when i answered they hung up. caller id says "bcpf".

CALLED ASKING FOR ME BY MY FIRST NAME.  WHEN I TOLD THEM THAT THEY WERE A SCAM AND A FRAUD, THE WOMAN BECAME IRATE, SNIPPY AND ULTIMATELY HUNG UP ON ME.  THIS IS MY 3rd. CALL FROM THEM - SEE ABOVE.  THIS NUMBER IS NOW BLOCKED AS WELL AS THEIR 619 374-7701 PHONE NUMBER.

Fact 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work!  Everyone knows this...or should know this!
Fact 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work!  A total waste of time.  Done that.
Fact 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
Fact 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list ? you?ll get laughed at!
Fact 5 - no "class action" suits are filed and certainly, this is not a remedy.   Some of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They?re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd. wireless handset.  And they work beautifully!  These phones also block ?PRIVATE?, ?OUT OF AREA? and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!
I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every imaginable call list.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.
NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.  THEY CAN?T GET THROUGH!
We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

I'm getting these calls too. What's the scam, tho, if they hang up when we answer, and they don't answer if we call them back? I agree it's not on the level, but how does their scam work if they never talk with us to get donations or credit card info?

Caller I.D. showed a call from this number, no message left.  Will block from my phone.  I tried looking up Breast Cancer Prevention Foundation on the internet but couldn't find anything with a Sacramento address so probably is some kind of scam.

I keep getting calls from BCPF at 209-800-1162.  they hang up when i answer.  unable to call them back.

Got a call from BCPF when I answered there was no one on the other end.  Maybe they don't talk to male answerers.

They called today at 4:43 p.m.  I picked up and they remained on the phone.  I said "hello" 3x.  They never answered me.  Caller id say's BCPF.

My caller ID said the call came from Stockton, California and when I called back there was nothing on the other end.

Have received several calls from this number.  Never leave a message or when I
answer it is hang up.   How can we block this #

Breast Cancer Prevention is what I got when I called back. Never reached a live person. They call repeatedly, hanging up each time. I don't understand the purpose of the repeated calls. If they're a scam company, what are they trying to gain? Ridiculous.

Repeated calls from 209-800-1162 (BCPF on caller id)  for weeks, several times.  No one there when I answer.  Tried to call the number back, but only got busy signal.

I've been getting many phone calls from this number with no one on the other end.  I would like it to stop!

02/10/2011 at 12:52pm received call from 209 800 1162, ID was "Stockton  CA".  No message.  Called that number back twice.  Goes to blank, no one talks.   If calls again, will add to block.
