Someone (woman) called regarding problem I might have with my computer (MSN occasionally has a little box pop up and you can report it) ... it was clearly a satellite call and she was definitely ASIAN or INDIAN ... asked if I had problems with my computer ... asked for a call back number and this is what I was given.  I don't have any evidence it was MICROSOFT as she indicated nor will I call them back.  Something doesn't smell right here.

One other thing I do is ask where they are calling from ... if they use some US state, I then ask them what the capitol of the State is?  Of course, they have no clue and are immediately exposed for what they are ... fraudulent.

Best suggestion don't provide ANY info, personal or otherwise, and just hang up!

I got a call from "Unknown Number" and a man, Sam Gibson, with a heavy Indian accent told me that he was calling because there were problems with my laptop. He stated that he was a tech for Microsoft and they wanted to help me because the error message, that was sent, indicated that it was a virus that could wipe out the whole computer. (Note: Those were not his actual words, his English didn't seem to be that extensive.) He tried walking me though the steps so I could tell him what type version of Windows I had.  It took forever for just a few clicks. Thinking that if it was a real tech that he would know how to explain better. Then he wanted me to type in a www.****** address so he could hook up with my computer. I told him that I wasn't going to give access to him, but that I would call back later. I took down his number, 209-820-3952, and was surprised that it wasn't a 1-800 number. Not only that, but our connection was terrible and there were long pauses were the line was dead and we couldn't hear each other. Too many red flags. I'll be taking my laptop in for a diagnosis.

It is so funny. I did the same thing. I followed up with MoneyNow USA and found out that there were no such claims against my wife. The joker was using this company falsely. I too am gearing up to report this to the proper authorities, although I know deep down they won't find these scam artists as they tend to pack up shop once they know the feds are on their trail.

Hi, I have been receiving the same calls, but the thing is I got a few like a few months ago and I happen to be a legal secretary and my boss spoke to the guy who does sound indian and told me a sheriff was going to pick me up the next day to go to court, hilarious, what sheriff picks you up to go to court!  So anyways what I did was report it to the attorney general and I am going to do it again cause the last calls I got were from a different number and when I called the number it belonged go a man who owned a company in California and had no idea what I was talking about.

Yeah, my mom received a call from this Kevin Jones today indicating that my wife has an unpaid debt from the creditor MoneyNow USA. This joker has an indian accent and could not answer half my questions. Gave him no info at all. This appears to be a scam and I am pursuing legal sanctions through my attorney. Apparently, this is some kind of loan scam that comes through on 209-820-3952. The SOB would not disclose the name of his organization/company, but was insistent that he will be submitting all paperwork to the courts on Friday. Well, what a funny circumstance. If you were working with the courts, why hasn't legal representatives come a knocking at the right address. Beware and do not give this joker any information. It has 100% scam written all over it.
