I have been gettting calls from this number for awhile- my call history from the number shows it is about every other week it calls me-nI have never answered but when I call the number back from a private line I get an atomated message that says" We clean carpet please hold" I usually just hang up but today I sat and waited a few minutes and a live person did come on and "We clean carpet how can I direct your call".  I will be  adding the number to my blocked number list through my cell phone provider.

Its definately a scam.  The sender wants your bank account number.  He says its so he can put money in it.  But he really plans to take all of your money out of it.

Just got a text message from the same 817#. I called the number back and it was an automated voice machine. I hung up and checked my accounts and nothing was wrong. SMH, people need to use their time wisely than sending out scams.

Received the same text message as well on 9/2.  I called the number and the automated voice sounded suspicious to me.  I contacted BOA directly and they advised that it was a Phishing Scam.  They took the info and said they would investigate.  I also tried to contact Verizon Wireless to see if they could track down the sender.  I had to push them to even look up my text message but it was blocked so they couldn't tell (or so they told me).  They did not seem to have any interest in pursuing.

I've gotten this text 4 times today, each with some variation in who it is or, in one instance, it used a local 817 area code number.  Definately a scam - be careful out there, somebody has a phishing scam robot running.

I received many text messages with the same message: Urgent. Please call at 210-527-8888 and later 817-786-3304. I do not have an account with Bank of America. Definitely not legitimate.

Received 4 text messages today, supposedly from BOA.  One said urgent, another said your attention is needed.  Three of the four texts are from 210-527-8888.  The fourth text message has another number, 817-786-3304.  I do not have a BOA account.  Beware!

Received an urgent message to contact BOA...checked my accounts on-line and nothing appears wrong.  This is the second time this has happened to me....beware before answering a message from this number.  It is a fraud.

Place a notification request on your account with BOA for any and all on-line purchases.  This service has been great for things just like this.  It notifies me when my debit card is used on-line.  So far, all of the notifications have been REAL purchases.

I have been a BOA customer for years. It is a coincidence that your phone got the urgent text. The crooks that pull this scam just get a list of numbers from a computer generated list and they will get a few card numbers. Luckily BOA will reimburse you should they start buying things.

Been receiving calls and texts from all of these in the past month! My sister has too, she gave them her info without thinking and before we did this research. Needless to say, she canceled her credit card and took most of her money out of that account. Complete fraud!! Do not fall for these!!

Just got the call.  I put in a fake number and it then asked my exp date and again put in a fake number.  Then it asked for my pin.  I put a fake one in and it then said thanks and I'm ok.  I hope sobody falls for this.  I called BOA and they didn't give a crap about it.  No sense of urgency.

I have been receiving texts for the last few weeks. Today it told me to call 2105278888. The one from a few days ago said, Urgent.PleasecallBankOfAmerica@1-973-881-8000. Has to be a scam. I also received a text from Generation FCU, I don't know if they are affiliated with BOA, but they said they had to unlock my account and to call 314228325, which isn't even a complete number. Be aware of all these numbers.
