I googled Nicholas Holstein and found two blog sites come up which doesn't prove any legitimacy. However, I did see his name listed on these links:
http://m.imdb.com/title/tt2373610/
http://m.imdb.com/title/tt2963606/
Is Imdb a legitimate site?

Nick...very cute to be posting on others behalf.  Since you do not pay for productions, agent's do not work with you.  Case and point. Any legitimate agent would do a thorough check on clients prior to committing any talent they represent to any project... and once they run that background check... they will uncover many things, such as nick has been arrested for fraud and has an open investigation for owing monies to prop and set companies for failure of payment and returning items.  Then a legitimate agency would then highly advise or pull all talent from projects.  Nick's projects are great to partake in if you want to do free work...and don't mind dishing out money every so often to buy nick a meal or two...but if you are seeking paid work, do your homework.

Just remember:
It can't be all false if he is been approached multiple times by the media for fraud and many people are speaking out against him (the whole world isn't against you nick)... there is no official police case against him because he doesn't swindle people out of thousands of dollars...merely time and a meal here or there.... if you like to waste your time ...go for it.  Just don't open your pocket book for him.

Nick ought to stage a production of "The Music Man"!  He could play the lead role of "Professor" Harold Hill, and wouldn't need to do any acting.

I'm a parent of someone whose child is a part of Nick Holstein's company. I did my research prior to having my child audition for his project and after consulting with my child's agent, went ahead and had my child audition. My child's agent is well known in Texas and his response to me was, "Don't believe everything you see or read on the internet". My child a part of both of his Manchester High productions and continues to be a part of his films and stage shows. I had talked to other actors on set and heard they were a part of other agencies as well so Jenelle's response about stating that no agent wants to work with Nick is false since talent is represented by Austin and San Antonio agents. Also, I have not had to pay for anything by working with Nick's company. All in all, my child has been with Nick's company since the summer of 2012 and have not had any bad remorse toward him. Yes, there may be some negative stuff about him but if you do your research thoroughly, you'll also see plenty of positive articles and information as well that in my opinion oversee the negative since most negative materials is from years ago.

I'm not afraid to hide behind a handle, all accusations are true and I did post my name. I was on the project with Dustin when everything went down and the whole thing was outted as a scam. We worked one month on the project while our agent looked into the financial backing and contacted AEA for proof the project was legit. We were suppose to perform in New York all expenses paid with hefty contracts attached. Suprise suprise no papers were files the alleged hotel where we were staying or with AEA allowing us to perform. After out agent pulled us from the project, we recieved emails and phone call from WOAI & KSAT regarding Nick and his antics. When you have 10 actors stating the same facts, the evidence is pretty obvious. The only reason no legal action was taking was because none of the represented actors were out money... Just wasted time. We were advised we could take action at the local level however, Nick has no money himself and therefore even if one was to pursue for settlement nothing would arise from it because the guy has no financial backing it assets to take as collateral. We would actually be spending money to sue him for minimal jail time... And in the end be out money. None of us thought it was worth it and dropped the case. So to sum it up, Nick does have problems... And will just waste your time if you get involved in his projects.  That being said... Any smart actor wouldn't put money forth for a project unless they are producing it. Legit productions don't make you pay for anything upfront and rarely reimburse you for out of pocket money, nor do they pay you at the end of the project for your work.  If you are trying to get into the biz, seek out an agent, they will make sure projects are legit. Getting scouted through social media rarely ever happens and almost every legit agent in the San Antonio/Austin area has heard of this guy or bern exposed to his antics and refuses to work with him.  He is blacklisted in the professional community.  As for his website and posted résumé... I would be weary of his credentials. We cross referenced every name he ever dropped.. And most had never heard of him. The hospital that he supposedly had partnerships with during our production, turned out not knowing him, furthermore the space that was "donated" by the hospital for rehearsal for our production as part of the "partnership" .... Is actually open for reservations for non-profit groups. he was able to secure this venue by using the name of the support group he attended for his mental health issues, which coincidently take place at that same hospital on a different day that the rehearsal dates we had.

Just do your research and know what your getting into prior to committing.

If you notice on this blog and any others listed on this website, are complaints about businesses. If you notice on this blog (where anyone can post), this is NOT about a business but a personal attack on someone. If you check out www.manchester-high.com, you'll notice that Nicholas Holstein is legit. He's been featured in the newspaper, on tv, at conferences, and others. All your proof is listed on the website. As mentioned before, this is NOT about a business but a personal attack against someone coming from former actors who are no longer apart of a growing production and are showing sour attitude.

In the end Nicholas Brian Holstein is pathetic! So, pathetic even after some of the cast from Manchester High publicly posted on FaceBook what he done he's still texting others asking do they want to audition again! If you look up a director's name and the first thing you see is a thread from PissedConsumer.com you should just leave that project alone.
And to say that it's against the law to "stress out" a mentally challenged person because they got him on tape, one must know that he's mentally challenged. If he knew he was on camera and just kept on talking then he's just stupid. Sadly he can't be arrested for wasting people's time. Oh, FYI a TV production wouldn't allow you a budget for 57 episodes for a first season and you wouldn't edit your footage on a Windows program especially if the show was to air on Time Warner Cable...I'm just saying

As you will see in the news article, Actors CLAIM...there is no evidence and since he's already filmed and getting ready for a premiere is highly saying it's anywhere a scam, bogus or such. If you ask any parents, crew, staff, sponsors, or cast involved in Manchester High, all have positive outcomes.

SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonio's Better Business Bureau is sending out a warning to actors: before you sign any contract, make sure you know what you're getting into. This warning comes after a slew of complaints that people are getting conned out of their time and money.

Over a dozen actors say a producer hired them last year, with big promises... only to walk away with their dreams crushed, and their wallets empty.

Dustin Shinn is a professional actor.  So when he and about 20 others were cast in what they believed was a major production, he was excited, to say the least.

"This was a big deal for us," said Shinn.  "We were going to New York, we were going to be up in a big hotel.  And once our agent found out it was all false and we all did our own research, we realized it was all fake.  The theatre didn't know anything about it."

Shinn had signed a contract and says he was promised $30,000 for his work.  But a month into the work and hours of rehearsal, he says he never saw a dime, and neither did the other actors.

"Our agent pulled us from the talent because she confronted [the producer], and he didn't have any money to pay us."

News 4 WOAI tracked down the producer in question at Stevens High School, where he's now filming another production.

"All of what those people are saying, is basically because they have breached their contracts," explained Nick Holstein, producer and owner of Cinephrenia Productions.

Holstein told News 4 WOAI his company is legit and says the reason the previous actors weren't paid is because they didn't finish the work.  He referred us to the website he says will be launching the teen drama web series in September, beaprep.com.  We checked with several of the companies under the site's sponsorship page.  Officials told us they weren't providing any financial backing.

That's no surprise to Shinn.  "It makes me feel sick that other actors out there are thinking that they're going to make it big and get this big opportunity, and it's all fake," said Shinn.

Holstein told News 4 WOAI that the 13 actors in his current production will get paid as soon as the work is done.

Wow.. It's really hilarious pathetic to see someone post as two different people to back themselves up. Funny how every person who is defending this guy has the same writing style.

A- it is not illegal to call someone a criminal. I can call people whatever I want on the Internet. Sure, you can try to file suit, but good luck with that.
B- if you have a mental illness you aren't protected from people calling you crazy. Especially if you are acting crazy. You'rer welcome to file all the lawsuits you want, but your chances of success are slim and none. Hooray First Amendment.

Here's an idea.. Instead of posing as people who like you to bad mouth people who don't.. Why not stop being such a fraud?

This is correct, people with disabilities are protected...up to a certain extent. Having a disability is not a "get out of jail free card" to do whatever you want. If all of this evidence is true, you should have no problem getting him committed to an asylum or even prison.

I'm sure you're already aware since you husband is an attorney, but Mr. Holstein, if indeed he is medically documented with a mental illness is protected under the Disabilities Act of 1978. He could also file suit towards dafamation and anyone who violated that Act. Did he have a lawyer present when you accused him? Did you show him any proof or was everything verbal. This can be considered emotional assault or distress. If all you say was true then why did you not bring this up earlier? As an advoate for people with disabilities, the Act of 1978 does protect anyone with a documented disability. If Mr Holstein has a psychiatrist, then his disorder is documented which could lead to legal problems for all accusers.

I've seen Nick's work and don't believe any accusations being put against him. It seems everything I've read is a ''he said, she said'' rumor chain. I searched his name and found two negative sites, this one and a news article, but I also got several positive links that outweigh the negative. I think Nick should sue anyone wwho posts on this site. In the last post it states we have a video. Who is we? Who is SAVictim? Did you get Nick's permission to videotape him if you did? Legally, no permission to videotape someone is against the law especially if using it for your own benefit.

Pls do not trust this man Nicholss Holstein! Save your time. This man harasses boys by showing them a picture of an attractive girl and ask if they want to start texting. Little do they know it is Nick Holstein, so called Mentor/Director, is texting them petraying as the girl. One of victims is a 15 yo boy! This man is sick and needs o be put behind bars! He also charges parents hundreds/thousands of dollars for website banners and commercials when in fact he has no contract with camera crew to produce them.
We have a video of Mr Holstein admitting to all of these allegations and WOAI is putting a story together so we can put a stop a stop to this soon before someone else gets hurt by this man.
If you still don't believe this story, pls go to the San Antobnio police dept and check out all the records on him along with a mug shot.
