Got a call from this number- no message. Called back and got a message that stated that I have an incorrect number.

Someone sold your number to them through ebay, amazon, etc, where you have to give your number for mail delivered online. I started to recieve them just after the first time I bought online through a U.S. state, and I live in canada. Never been to New York so why would I want to buy tickets. I didn't answer and they left no message but when I called back, same as others not in service

Received a call from this number on my cell phone on 12/8/11, at 4:15 pm Eastern Time.  They left no message.

I believe it is a non-profit fund generating group. I am in Connecticut and they asked to renew my membership to the NYC High-Line (west side elevated railroad tracks turned into a 30 block long elevated park).

I got a call from this number today and it went to voicemail. The voicemail was someone playing a Beatles song into the phone and when it was over I heard someone hang up.  I tried calling back but it kept telling me the number didn't work.

No message. I am on the DO NOT CALL list!

Its a scam.  They are not affiliated with any opera.

Used to work for them. Non-profit call center that sells tickets for various preforming arts institutions. Be nice, OK? The pay is s****y, the work is hard and nerve-wracking, and they're just trying to keep some of your favorite arts institutions running. If you don't want to be called, just politely ask them never to call you again. If you get called again anyway, don't take it out of the caller- the institution they're selling for probably gave them your number again. And when I worked there a few years ago, all the leads were on paper so you you can't really expect your number to magically disappear from all their records right away.

Call from 212-279-5150. Wanted to know if we were interested in the Milwaukee Ballet.  Told her we weren't.  Very nice and polite.  Not sure how we got on their list.

got a call from this number yesterday. no message left.  how to block this number?... since so many people have also gotten a call as witnessed above, with no message.

They called me today. And said they are from Shakespeare Theater Chicago. They wanted me to purchase tickets for three plays for $120. They also asked if that was affordable. When I said "No" they said ok and said good bye.

The weird thing about it was that they new my name, address and the fact I was at Shakespeare Theater to see "Private Lives"........ very fishy...........

They are an organization who helps different museums to do fundraising. they have been calling me regarding Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, IL; they call every other day, but don't leave a message. I made the mistake of answering, once.

I live in Pittsburgh and after reading the posts, realize that it must be on behalf of the Pittsburgh Public Theater, as I have not renewed  my subscription.

Sounds like this is an organization that deals with arts-related groups.

a PS to my above message...I do have caller ID and it did give the number but also said DNC above the number where the name would be...Is someone selling the DO NOT CALL list?  I would think that is what DNC stands for.  On call back, even though I did speak with the woman, I got the message that the number was not in service and to please check the number....

Maybe someone has access to the DNC list and is either using it, or has sold it to others.  If so, we're all sunk.

got call from 212-279-5150 before 7 AM..woman asked for a Mr. someone by name, said she was from Boston(?) museum.....I'm in California and she called my home number..told her wrong number and in her cultured voice she asked if 'he' was sleeping.  I said I was trying to sleep, and she definitely has the wrong #.  Go figure..

I didn't answer since I was a meeting. Called them back an hour later and got a 'you have reached a non-working number' voice msg. Strange based on reading the other responses. It's the Manhattan area code; not Brooklyn or Philly.

I live in virginia. never had association w/ museum. called me on my cell phone. A number only about 40 people (close friends & family) have. I didn't pick up because I was busy...

I returned call later and got message, "call could not be completed as dialed"

called id was performing arts; I answered with my company name and they hung up.
