Calls around 4pm every day. This has been going on for several months.  Woman, India accent, just mumbles, man also India accent is not clear or most of time someone just holds line and never says anything.

A real nuisance and they are certainly up to no good.  Beware

I received a call from a man at 212-586-9325, New York, NY,  He mispronounced my last name and said his name was John ????? about my computer.  I asked him to repeat as I could not understand all he said about why he was calling.  He said it is about my computer, so I asked his name again.  He repeated, but I still could not understand, so asked him to spell his last name.  At that point he hung up the phone.

Normally I do not answer calls that I do not recognize, but I am expecting a call from someone in New York about a person who is collecting Medicare Disability payments and is TOTALLY able to work.  She said she gets more money from the government this way and continues to collect about $3000.00 per month.

The person who learned this through a business deal hopefully reported her, but just in case I want to report her as well.  People like that are the lowest form of human being, and needs to be fined and go back to work.

There are so many honest hard working people who barely make ends meet, but are paying for scum like the lady who is collecting our hard earned money that we pay in taxes to the government.
Bah to scammers   --- get a job or starve.

My wife just got the same call, Indian accent and all.  Did not mention microsoft but asked her to turn on her computer.  She replied "I don't think so, I don't know who you are" and the far end hung up.

Remember, it is very easy to spoof Caller ID numbers, The caller can be from anywhere .

I just got a call from this number. I didnt' answer the phone because it showed up as a NY number. I live in Texas and no one I know in NY has my home number. After the phone rang out I called the number back. I got a voice message saying that I have reached a number that is not in service (I thought to myself, that number that is not in service just called me)

Got the "call" from this number early this morning. Spoke to some guy (with a heavy accent) .. he was asking for a "Mrs. Ggarard".  This was the name of the people that sold us our house ... 21 years ago!  Realized that this was either another political BS call or a scam or a combination of both.  Told him that Mrs. Ggarard was my 98 year old body guard, she at the shooting range and not available.   A long silence then he said thanks and hung up.

Got call from this number at 5:00 in the morning, and heard the story about they're from Microsoft, my computer is downloading dangerous files, etc.  Chewed the guy out for calling so early, lying about who he was representing, and violating the "do not call" listing.  His response was "So, I can call back later?".  No, moron, don't call me ever again.  Clearly a scam of some sort.

I just received a call exactly like the one "lanwab" reported: man with heavy accent claiming to be from Microsoft and wanted to discuss a "problem" related to my computer.  I told him there was nothing wrong with my computer and hung up.

I submitted a complaint to the Do Not Call Registry.

i just got a call. i said hello. the person said hello and then that person hung up. this happens to me quite often.
i just read from the 2 previous stories of this number harassing or claiming to work for computer company. first off, not ever true would we hear from any company cuz they're just trying to sell you s***. and on top of that, if you're dumb enough to give them info ( like i slightly did once) then you kinda ask for what may happen next.

months ago i get a call saying i had an issue with my computer. my comp was brand new. it was like maybe 3 weeks old. nothing wrong with it as far as i knew. i get a call from some foreigner who said i had comp problems. i told them nope. the person argued with me. i said okay smartie lets go to this party. i was being funny and then the person said  go to... and type the word " run" then click this and do you see a number pop on your screen. i said why. i then began telling the number. i stop dead. i said what is this really about. and just then the person said type in this link. its to sell something. its like a stupid virus cleaner. i explained i had norton and the person said norton sucks.  f off person. it was free so why would i pay if i had free and free was doing better than an expensive piece of crap that may not catch viruses and other thingies.  sorry i'll always find the free and i listen to others telling me whats best for my comp. i dont listen to some person trying to make a buck. i understand that they're trying to do their job but man to threaten and or to say " i wanna f you " is damn retarded and not professional.
we all need to stand together and get these companies out of business.

Got a call this morning from these jokers. Woman with an Asian accent. I had gotten a similar call before and berated them for trying to scam people. Didn't know if the number had come up on my ID (wife handed me the phone), so i asked the lady what her number was in case we got disconnected. She told me she was sending her phone number to my email. i hadn't given her an email so i asked which email she sent it to. She hung up.

Heavy Indian accent.  Wanted Mrs. Williams (my dead grandmother).  I said to take my # off their list.  He said they couldn't unless the money was returned (???).  He said a product was registered here.  I said my grandfather is 94 and has never touched a computer.  He argued that it was 5 years ago.  I said I had lived here for many years, and he said, "You are wrong.  You think you know better than me?"  I demanded a manager.  Manager got on phone and said, "I just have one thing to say - I want to f*** you."  Then the other guy returned and asked if I enjoyed talking to the manager.  I said I had their # and would report it to the police.  He said, "Really?  Do you have a gun?  Come on, speak up - do you have a gun?" and hung up on me...

Prank Call
I also just recieved a call from this number. He advised that we had been sending error reports and he was calling from Microsoft to fix them. However, he could not tell me which computer, where I bought it from or anything. He had aheavy Indian sounding access and could not even identify names of anyone in my household. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR INFORMATION OR ALLOW HIM ANY ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER!

Caller claimed to be calling for Microsoft telling me they had indications that my computer was downloading dangerous files from the internet.  He had a heavy accent and he refered to me as "Mr" using my first name instead of my last name.  When I laughed at him, told him he was a scam, and hung, he then called me back 4 more times before he gave up.

Person called asking for lady of house. Said he was with Microsoft and they have been monitoring computer and we had things on that were going to crash the entire system. Since I know a lot about comupters I followed what he had me do until it got to a point of running a command. The whole time he kept saying things like OMG the computer is going to crash and was full of viruses. When I told him I would hang up if hedidn't tell me what he was doing he got nasty and told me not to get rude, I just hung up. (Apparently they have called several times, my wife always hangs up.)
