I got a call from 212 669 7589, and when I first searched on the net today on 7-31-2013, I got the 10006 zip code in NY,NY, which is just a short distance from the former World Trade Center Towers as per Google.  Just searched a few hours later and I got this site.  Are both SCAMS?  I called the place as I received no message thinking it might be a job offer, or, a clue to the id of the person who has stolen my ID as per a Texas law official.  It is supposed to be a land line, but no one answered when I called.  So, I can't believe it is a business, or a credit card criminal.  Hacker? Who knows.....  I chuckled that this site had an ad to click on to view ones CRIMINAL ARREST record......is this with Instantcheckmate.com?  I personally think it is related some how back to me in some way.  used to get calls from Queens, NY too......  Too bad ICE and/or IA did not listen to me in 2006, 2007, and 2008.  Isaiah 58:6   Mat 6:14,15

And not just from this number either -the card service scammers use a whole variety of spoofed ( false) numbers when calling to try to get people to give them their credit card number so they can use it for their own purposes. Beware of these slimy creatures

Also, received a call from this number this morning. Automated message about lowering interest rates on credit card.

This number called me before 9:00am... I live in Illinois.  The call woke me up. I never gave them permission to use my number. Thank you.

My cell was called just before 9am on Monday morning by this number.  No answer.  No message.

Called my cell phone at 10:00... must be the start of their day from what I can see on other's posts.  I didn't answer, no message... and after reading this I'm glad!  Telemarketer calls is not the way I wanted to start my week!!!

Called my home phone twice with in ten minutes before and after 9:00 AM.  I didn't answer because I don't know anyone from New York.  They left no messages.  I attempted to call back and the line was busy.  I'm glad I read these posts so I will be ready for them when they call back.

These people have called my cell number a few times, the most recent being this morning @ 10:01AM EST.  I did not answer as I don't answer for phone numbers that I don't recognize or that don't leave a message.  They are very annoying!!!!

OH, what made it confusing was that my CC company really has been trying to call me for some reason. Legit phone calls and whatnot, so I was confused at first.

Received a call at 8:53 Eastern time. No message. I was asleep. I searched from the number and upon seeing this I will not answer. Thank you very much!

They just called me and got my bank right and guessed my average balance, so I let them go on for a minute but then they tried to convince me that they weren't asking for personal security questions to get into my account, just my expiration date and account number. As if you couldn't use that for anything, ha! I'm sure people fall for that so I wanted to see it out... the guy with the heavy accent got his supervisor who said the same thing, it was a different guy but the script was sooooooo scripted that he went from having very little accent to sounding like the old computerized speaking voice where you type out sentences and it reads it outloud... I zoned out and just waited for him to show he was real when he said "uh, hello?" in the middle of a phrase. Anyway, when I said for the second time to the "supervisor" (plus once to the original guy) "I think I'm just gonna stick with my higher interest rate because I pay off my balance in full each month and don't pay interest anyway..." I got hung up on!

Okay, I'm a teen.  I don't answer phone calls from people I don't know, but like everything that is unknown, the urge to answer is there. No message was left. Being the nosey child that I am, I wanted to see who just called me so I put the number into my browser search on my phone and I found this website.   Really glad I didn't answer now.  Thank you to the creator(s) of this website and everyone who shares their stories. Getting in trouble financially now would kill my future.  I am truly greatful.

They called me offering lower Credit Card interest rates, I pressed 1. A woman with an Indian accent asked me if I had Visa or master card? I said VIsa. She asked do you have a balance over 3600 ? I said yes. She asked what bank do you have? I asked what bank are you from? She hung up.

Call from this number this morning was just "hi this is heather" call again from spammers.   Trying to steal credit card numbers.
