If this company called you with false information please drop me an email at thegdsinternationalscam@gmail.com. I am currently looking at the validity of these accusations and hope to discuss the wider issue of sales ethics on my upcoming site www.thegdsinternationalscam.com. Obviously they have a new number now so this page will fill up pretty quickly if it's anything like the one for their last number - so please if you post here drop me an email too telling me your company, what summit they were pitching you on and what executives they said that were coming down (or had put them in touch with you). It will just take a second and might help people in similar positions to you. Thanks in advance.

A guy with an English accent called my work number from this number. He said his name was Marc Baker from Meet the Boss. He said he "did some work with" and mis-named an executive I work with. "Marc Baker@ said he might have something that was of interest to me. Scammer.

Guy keeps calling claiming to be one of our execs, giving bs story that he's on the road and wants me to give him the company president's number. Even has the nerve to say that nobody is answering the phone in the CORPORATE office! Jerk hangs up when I tell him that the exec he is claiming to be is sitting about 20 feet away from me.

Telemarketer
As a Virtual Office Services provider, I regularly receive calls from this number, claiming to be promoting event and conference products - one of my clients is a high-visibility company that holds 2 annual events that this company is apparently targeting.  I've passed their info along to my client, but I'm sure they disregarded it, because the company keeps calling.  Now when they call, I answer, but they disconnect every time.

I really hate to say this as a current employee but this place is one not legit. While some summits are semi-legit most are semi-scams. The list of C-level executives that we try to show "clients" are for the most part fake, we pitch fake lists and slowly add real delegates as we book venders for 20-60k. We tell them we're calling based on a "recommendation" which is complete BS. We just research the company, read their press releases and use that information to act like we really know what we're talking about. Can't tell you how many people fall for this .

We have atleast 30 "projects" going on right now and we use the name Next Gen "whatever" for all of them. In fairness some of the people we book really do like the summits but doesn't change the fact we lied to book em.

I'm not proud of what I do but till i land another job this is what pays the bills, honestly just hard to find a job that pays like this one, who else is going pay me 50k base plus commisson. I remember after the 1st week here, I realized that this was not going to be a legit job.

They ask you to cold call CEO's and ask them to give you 60k a believe or not some of these guys sign the contract (sometimes i think wow this guys is a CEO and your letting this 20+ year old who never met or spoke to talk you into giving me 60k, WHAT A DUMBASS!!!!!!!!!!).

The way the manage the office is such bs too . If your a hot chick who show off goods they give you some much leeway, but if you a dude you better close a deal fast or you out of there, dosen't even matter if you close some many deal before.

Bottomline is if you get called buy us beware and if you don't take time to do your research I might be making a nice commission check off of your budget.

Hopefully this makes me feel better.

Received a call from "Harper Jaroff" trying to get through to the CEO of our company. Claimed to be from Next Generation Energy and named two of our clients in the energy sector. He was vague about the reason for his call. It sounded like a boiler room, so I didn't put him through. He left the number 212-796-2000 x426. I Googled the name Next Generation Energy and could not find a company with that name associated with that phone number or Harper Jaroff.

Got a call from this number by a Larry Crawford saying he was with Nexgen utilities and had projects in South America to develop. TOTAL LIES ALL AROUND!!! He was just trying to talk to the President of the Company. We have GDS phone numbers on alert at my company and Admins NEVER let any of their calls through. A total waste of time to even talk to them. They always try to lie and get through.

He gave the number (212) 796-2000 x 480

BEWARE

I worked at GDS and witnessed first hand the laws they break to obtain phone numbers and sell $60,000 meetings to business executives.  If you are thinking about working for this company, you better be willing to lie, cheat, steal, drink, drug and go to be with these sleaze bags.  They are a bunch of addicts, SERIOUSLY.  Lying is a REQUIRED part of your job.

You think once you interview and accept the position, you have a real job but that's just the beginning of the games these people play.  Their so-called training is like survivor where people they "hired" get voted off.  They continue the elimination games on the sales floor.  If you are an experienced sales person, you will waste your time going to work for them.  They're not interested in talent.  They want robots they can brainwash into breaking laws to make sales.  I made the mistake of leaving a real job to work for them so I learned the hard way.

The most senior reps at this telemarketing center on average is six months, yet they tell people that they've been in business fifteen years.  The "managers" are bottom of the barrel.  My "manager" was a twenty-year old HO who ran around hugging on every guy ithe place, showing a tattoo near her a**.  If this excites you, go for it.  Hopefully it works for you but if you are looking for a professional work environment with a company that is ethical, GDS is not it.

Took a call from these guys. It was indeed a sales pitch for an event in San Francisco. I was skeptical at first, but after they provided me with references from people I knew, that went away. We signed up for one of there events in February. Sleaze bags is a little harsh, high pressure for sure. I have a sales background, so I can appreciate a good sales pitch.
