It appears all called parties are in Hawaii.  I suspect this is actually a political survey OR a solicitation for something.  The reason they hang up if you pickup but don't speak, is that they are in a 'boiler room' and the calls are automated.  The caller is not connected until someone answers with a voice pattern like "Hello" followed by a pause.  That's why I often answer with no break after the pause and "Hello - this is the voice mail for the Simpson Family.  Please leave your message after the tone" after which I press the "9" to sent out a DTMF signal.  Sometimes, I answer with "Hello, this is a real person answering the phone like a machine in case there is a real person calling me not a machine.  If you are real, say hi now (beep).  Even my friends stumble on that one if they call from a private number.  Have fun.   p.s.  They're not bad, just self-centered, rude, and inconsiderate.  

Same thing here - Honolulu, 7 o'clock hour, only 2 or three rings and they hang up, just about the time I get down the hall to answer the call... who and why are they calling?

I have received maybe 10 calls from this number none of which I have answered. Would someone look into this and somehow stop it!

Does anyone know what the caller is getting out of this.  I have had similar calls, as above.  I am now not answering.

3x in 20 minutes during the 900pm hour.  First call asked for my grandmother by name, which makes this much worse.  Asked who was calling hung up.  2nd and 3rd time hang ups.  caller id was 8068997:8019805.

Mine in Honolulu, twice at least today. The caller's name at 6:40pm was "7961598:8019805." The second call, at 9:09pm was from "Los Angeles  CA." I didn't bother to try to answer either time, but did leave it going in case they wanted to leave a message.

Some jackhole calling multiple times to Hawaii. After 9pm.  He said he's from some research company and then hung up.

Just called the number  back and got a BS recording about the democratic way of getting opinions!  Heck of a way to get my opinion if they hang up after 3 rings.  Wonder if the person is being paid by the phone call????

Calls about same time nightly (abt 7:15pm hst). No sound/answer. Clicks off about 30 seconds. Pissing me off!!!

Received several calls each evening now around 7pm (Hawaii Standard time) from this caller.  Strange person or organization?
