Don't EVER let someone who calls you get control of your computer. Don't ever give anyone your password information. If someone claims to be from Microsoft hang up, its a scam!

Been getting a call from the number (323)489-7476 for a few weeks now. Finally answered it to have a guy named George Matthews with a heavy east indian accent, tell me that my aol account was about to be hacked.  He said he was from Microsoft and they knew this because of when my computer crashes it sends the report to Microsoft and they found out that it was in danger of being hacked and information stolen from my computer.  He asked me to run a program called teamviewer.com that would allow him to link into my computer to fix the problem.  I started to do this, but then got suspicious and asked for a number I could call to verify this was legit.  He started to get angry, but gave me the number (213)457-3846, which is what I searched and came up with this page of complaints.  So glad I hung up on him and didn't complete the accept button on the viewer! Hope others that get this same call look this up too, before falling victim.

I got a call from a guy named David with a very thick accent.  He said he was from Microsoft and my computer had a virus. He refused to give me any information on the computer in question.  He got very upset and eventually hung up on me when I wouldn't give him the information he wanted.

I received a call from a Louis Parker today 4/5/2014 stating he was with Microsoft and that my computer had sent them error message.  He wanted to have control of my computer to help fix the problem.  SCAM!!!! Indian accent so thick I could hardly understand him and his SCAMMING  Speel.  The number that called was 213-457-3846

I also received a call from a male identifying he worked for Microsoft. I ask for his name and he gave me the name William Smith. I told him I would need to call him back. The number he gave me is 213-457-3846 Ext.1990. This guy had a foreign accent. The number that showed up on caller ID 818-850-5445

got a call from this number. Indian accent, from Microsoft, regarding the hacking attempts on my computer... Pretty sure Microsoft employees speak English!!!

got the same call, they are all crocks do not listen to any of them, they just want your information.

i received a call from this number (818-850-5445). he said that my computer send a message to microsoft office tech support that my computer via my email address. i told him that my computer had a good fire wall against such. he continue to explainthat it was sent thru my e-mail. i ask him for his boss number, he gave me this number 213-457-3846. i call the number and the same person answer i hung up and google the number and got this web site

I just got the same number asked me to go to my computer. I googled the number while he was on the phone, told him the number is coming up as a scam and he hung up.  His name is Ray Martin 213 457-3846 extension 4788.

ok I just talked to a real Microsoft tech and they told me that they are a SCAM!! they told me exactly whats been told to other people and described the scam to the T. so Microsoft is aware of this and DO NOT TRUST THIS NUMBER!! OR 213-457-3846. TEAM VIEWER IS A PROGRAM THAT TAKES CONTROL OF YOUR COMPUTER.

Got the same call. I even asked him, "How do I know you're not the hacker!?!?" He gave me the 213-457-3846 ext.1084 number to call back and told me that if I didn't turn my computer on and call back within 5 hrs that my computer would be gone.

Jeff Waoker called from 1900142. Said to me the same thing. His ID is 1991.

my parents had been having computer problems for a few weeks- slow response - typical virus stuff. While at the computer, they recieved a call from Tech support - Russell, claming to be Microsoft certified. For $200 he could fix the problems and avoid the hassle of going to a repair shop. He instructed them on how to set up paypal, and my parents sent them the $200. He had access to their machine for a period and instructed them to call back in two hours. When they called back, their computer operated normally! . When my parents told me what happened, I contaced paypal and changed passwords. I called the 213 number back and spoke to Russell and his supervisor Henry. The told me they are a real company and gave me the website of www.support1000.com. At this point we are writting if up to a $200 mistake

I just received a call from this number. A man with a heavy Indian accent told me that my Microsoft Windows laptop has been hacked. I am so glad I googled the number and confirmed this a scam caller. I asked his name to which he answered "Adam Stewart" I told him to take me of the calling list and he then said he was calling me from the FBI!!! I told him to take me off the calling list  then hung up. He called me right back from 661-748-0241 angry saying that he is trying to help me. When I again stated that I don't want his services and to take me off the list he yelled at me to shut up..LOL! "Wow" I said laughing  "And this is how the FBI...wait no..Microsoft reps talk to customers?!" then hung up again. This is a SCAM!!!!!

The scam is still going on as of 1/21/2014 with the same story.  Got a call from 818-850-5445. The indian sounding guy said he was from Microsoft and gave me the number to verify his authenticity at (213) 457-3846, extension NNNN. Stated his name as Jack Anderson.  Wonder why FBI would has not yet involved in chasing this scammers along with the Indian authorities...they have to put my taxes for some real use.

I GET THESE SCUMBAG MAGGOTS CALLING ME EVERYDAY THESE CALLS ORIGINATE FROM INDIA THAT IS WHY WHEN YOU FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE DO NOT CALL LIST THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU SINCE THE CALLS ARE COMING IN FROM INDIA I HAVE SINCE BOUGHT AN AIRHORN AND WHENEVER ONE OF THESE SCAMMING COCKROACHES CALL I BLAST THE AIRHORN THRU THE PHONE HOPEFULLY IT WILL CAUSE THEM TO GO DEAF WE CAN PUT PEOPLE ON THE MOON BUT NOONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO STOP THESE LOWLIFE SCAMMERS EVERYONE SHOULD START CALLING THEIR LOCAL POLITICANS AND MAKE THEM GET OFF THEIR A** AND PUT A STOP TO THESE MAGGOTTS!
