This number just called me. Caller ID said "Help Center" so I let the machine get it. After a few seconds, their machine proceeded to leave a really long message, in Spanish. No idea what she said.

"Yeah hi, this is Mr. Edwards with the unclaimed funds division. This call is to inform you this is your final notice to take claim of your excess funds from the sale of your home. Please call Mr. Edwards at 949-398-0403. Your post sale claim number is 57789. That's a time sensitive matter so please do call as soon as possible. Again my number is 949-398-0403. The Call ID says 213-504-5217.
This must be a scam report both numbers to the police.

Received a call from this # with a message" this is your final notice to get unclaimed funds from the sale of your home, please call Mr. Edwards". The message was from a real person and his return # when I called back was 949-398-0403.

I suspect this is scam call similar to the ones in Florida where scam outfit will attempt to extract $600 from you to help you file for a non-existent recovery of funds. Also see ABC news story on similar scam.

This call started out with a recording about my mortgage, asking if I was paying over 2% interest and if I was paying more than 31% of my take-home pay to my mortgage lender. The caller somehow knew my mortgage co.

Since I'm in the mortgage business myself (NOT sales), I decided to speak to a rep by pressing 1. After a few seconds, I realized that he didn't seem to know what the recording said. I started discussing my mortgage but I guess he decided he couldn't refinance my loan, as he hung up on me.

Got a call from this number and they actually left a message about trying to lower my mortgage rate.  Went through a loan refinance and my information must have gone public somehow....

I've received several calls from this number at the office. The caller never leaves a message. I called back and got a recorded voice mentioning non-specific "special promotions" and offering a way to be taken off the call list. I took that option but my experience with these spam calls is that they never actually do remove you from the list.
