And this "Elaine" has the mind of a crook because she is a crook, she just lacks the courage to use a gun to rob other people and uses a phone instead.

Spoke to Elaine at Paradise Builders (800-710-4237).  The receptionist who first answered the call stated that Paradise Builders do not use telemarketers.  I kept asking her questions and she transferred me to Elaine.  I asked Elaine if they use telemarketers.  She stated "no" at first until I got her talking.  They use a Magic Jack phone system for their "quality control" department.  According to Elaine, the "Do Not Call" list doesn't guarantee anything.  Even if you make a complaint against a number, the federal government doesn't have the time to take care of it.  

I asked wouldn't it be easier to advertise a different way rather than using telemarketers.  She stated "No.  We generate millions of dollars a month through phone calls."  She also stated that people have to call in (even though the 213-519-7715 phone number won't go through) and ask for their number to be removed but sometimes "the computer has a mind of its own and it takes a few times of deleting a number before it will take."  

She also stated that they're giving people jobs who would otherwise not be able to work or they would be in jail or on federal assistance, and this is the "new American way" of doing business.  

So bottom line . . . if you want the phone calls to stop from Paradise Builders, then call Paradise Builders at 800-710-4237 and ask for Elaine and ask to have your phone number deleted from their call list -- and then repeat this quite a few times just in case the computer has a mind of its own.

I got a call from them today. Said they were a contractor licensed etc. I asked for his contaractors license number. He refused to give it to me. Why aren't these people put out of business?

These losers have been calling daily for weeks.  I finally caved and bought a call blocker device.  Thought I might be wasting my money, but figured it was worth a try and it was!  It immediately cut out a third of these losers with its built in numbers and for the rest of them, I just have to touch a button and poof!  they are blocked.  It was worth every penny of the $60 I spent - It's like GPS- don't know what took me so long to buy one.  

Those idiots call every day, several times a day.  I wish someone would make these annoying phone calls go away.  I am fed up.

The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not. However, the Fed. DNC does not cover some survey's, Political or Charities.  You would need to check your states DNC laws to see if these are under your states DNC laws.  The fact remains that they are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

i don't know what type of call blocking device you have, but mine blocks this # just fine. my phone never rings. i check my call blocker periodically to submit the numbers to the useless Do Not Call Registry and it blocked this # again today.

Bad news for those with call blocking.  This number cannot be blocked.  

They hang up as soon as I answer, or sometimes a man will say, ' sorry, wrong number.'

I'm so damn tired of these telemarketers and robocalls.  They manage to call when I'm either:  1) on the toilet 2) breast feeding my baby 3) changing a diaper 4) ready to walk out the door in a hurry 5) on another phone call  6)  when I'm napping or when one of my children is napping and/or 7) when I'm really busy.   Asking them to take your name off of their list doesn't work, registering with the Do Not Call Registry does not work, blocking their phone number does not work.  From now on, I'm letting my phone-loving toddler answer the phone and he can talk their ears off...and when he doesn't feel like talking, I'm blowing my whistle into the phone.  Maybe I'll throw in some sex/orgasm noises, too.  I'm through with being polite.  

Unrecognized number came up as "unavailable".  Did not pick up, let answering machine get it ... no message left.  Very annoying.

Calls me every few days in the afternoon.  ID says "California Call."  Never leaves message.

Another call from the scam co. I checked the CA Contractors State License Board web site. The full name of the company is Paradise Builders Group Inc 137 North Larchmont Blvd #691 Los Angeles CA 90004. Phone 800-710- 4237. Shay Thomas Craig is listed as the managing officer . Hope this information will be a help to all of us who continue to receive phone calls from this company. We will see what new numbers we get from this company.
