Home improvement solicitations. They always begin with the lie that we'd previously discussed having some work done, "earlier this year" or "Back in January", etc. I call them liars, tell them not to call back, then hang up. Will report this to Nat'l Do Not Call Registry, which doesn't seem to do any good but does make me feel better.

ust got a call from this company, guy asked for me by name, said he was a repairman for the home center, sounded more like he was a crack dealer on Central in Watts, could barely talk.  This company is the biggest rip off and joke in Los Angeles, why the FCC hasn't fined and shut them down for their never ending abuse of the DNC and spoofing numbers is beyond me but if you get a call from these ghetto clowns, run, they are BAD NEWS all around and do not threaten or cuss them out as they do have your address and I wouldn't put anything past these gangsters!

Got same ol tc saying "hi" remember me?  We talked last December about a remodeling project"  At this point I hung up.

Received a call today.  I don't answer calls that I don't know.  If it is important they would leave a message, but they never do.

Miss the call, no msg left. I've got calls from them but not in months. Was on my cell block list now being added to home list. My home # is forwarded to my cell which I don't think they ever called.

asked for name similar to mine and when I asked who was calling they hung up.  I did call back and got operator saying no such number.  ?????

Always file a complaint with the FCC do-not-call registry whenever (and each time) you get an unwanted, unsolicited call.  Only through thousands of complaints will anyone do anything about these idiots (all of them).

Reporting this phone number as a scam.  They know my name also.

Got a call this am, Sunday.  I usually don't answer calls when I don't recognize the number.  But I thought they didn't call on Sunday.  When I asked the creep who was calling, he said "er..Allen" and another pause :"from Home Center,...Home Center."  I hung up.  I've reported to the FTC, the DNC list and the police have taken a report.  Tried to get Verizon to block number but they don't block cell numbers.  I'm fed up but don't know what to do about these calls.  I've reported every one for months.

Got a call at 10:15.....they asked for me...a man.....I spoke Spanish........he was MAD....and said IYIYI....lololol.......guess he does not like Spanish speaking people! No ID no talky!  Called back to see who it was.......of course reached a number that is no longer in service!

Bought a Panasonic cordless. It has the capability to block 20 numbers and some models can block up to 30 numbers leaving the caller with a constant busy signal every time they call. If they are not on the block number list I still get satisfaction of never hearing the phone ring and I programmed the phone not to record messages, just an outgoing message that we are not available to take a call and to call later. Some do, some don't. My caller id alerts me to anyone I want to talk to and I either pick up the phone or call them back.

Received a call in afternoon 6-18-12 and no message left and no identification left.  Call registered coming in as California and the number 213-676-8988 on my phone.  No further info.

Answering maching got it. No message, just a women screaming hello and lots of noise in background. Not the first time I've gotten this call.

I was on the phone with the hospital where my mother had been taken, when this call came in of the call waiting, I didn't know who it was so I answered it, and explained that my mother was in the hospital and I was talking with the doctor, the voice said and I quote "who gives a s - - t," and hung up.  I am now consulting with an attorney, to see how I can sue these low lifes.

Got the same "goodbye" phone call today.  Caller ID shows their number.  Thanks for the info on who it belongs to.  I expressed my dissatisfaction with them using spam phone calls at http://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/gold-remodeling-inc  , and i hope the moderator approves the rating/comment i left. Anyone know of other business rating sites that list them?

I get calls from this number a lot!!! It is so annoying. When I answer no one replies!! Any one know how to get rid of them for good??

Called me this morning - said he was from Gold Remodeling Agencey and said I had told him a year ago in May that I would call him if I had any work to do inside or outside the house ( total fabrication). Asked over and over if I had any work; I asked for his number and he gives me  877-907-2305 and says they have a website with A 1 ( yes, he said A 1, lol) rating - www.goldremodelinginc.com. I said I have no work; he says he will call me in two weeks; I said , no thanks, I'll call if I need to..upon which he hangs up.

Same thing: we've been on DNC for years. Got call today (one of 6-8 unsolicited calls from various scumbags so far and it's not even 2:00 PM) and Google led me here.

What good is the DNC? Reporting calls just gets you an auto-generated form reply with no clear way to reach a real person. Does anyone know of a recourse that actually works?

Maybe "Information Please" has the right idea. Get local news to expose these a**h***s. And even better, to get our legislators to start enforcing the DNC. Put some teeth into the law, and start fining and jailing these lowlifes.
