Jim called wanting to do business with me. I asked him to call back as I was actually interested I was just busy, he began cussing at me and telling me he would call every day. Really a jerk. He must not need the business that bad.

Our company has engaged this company in 2010 in order to do some collections for us. Our debitors have made payments and we have not seen any of the moneys. I strongly advise any other company NOT to use theese pleople as they are oviously unprofessional and untrustworthy. The representetive we had was Thomas Johnson whos number has sinse been disconected. Both ourself as well as our debitors had no luck in getting in contact. KGB

THEY are collecting money for me too, and they haven't paid a dime, nor will they answer any calls. They are scams in my book, they are jerks.

I have an issue with your company, its a scam, I have called your office for three days, no one will call me back, you owe me money, and I plan to collect. Okay, so give me your number and I will be glad to discuss it with you. My attorney is waiting also.
thanks

I get a call from a guy named Jack Taylor. He accuses me of owing money to a business that he cannot even pronounce the name for. I tell him I do not recognize the name, give me more information on what I supposedly owe. He is rude and arguementative. He tells me he will file suit the next day. I say you better get more information if he wants to continue to talk to me. He calls me the next day at work. He tells me the name of the business and that I recieved shipments from them in 2008 and 2009. I tell him that I never recieved anything from them, I never recieved a bill or a phone call. He calls me a "G** D*** liar." That I should be my bills. I try explaining that I have not done business with this company. He continues to be rude, says he is filing suit and hangs up on me. He then calls my work back and asks if an officer of the court comes to the location could they point me out to be served. I call the owner of the company that supposedly I owe. He states emphatically that I am not the person that owes him money. It is somebody with the same name but not me. We had never had the same zip code for an address, never the same address, the only thing similar is that we have the same name. Apparantly Jack Taylor had not done due diligence in finding the correct person. The owner said he would call and get them to back off on me. I asked to recieve an appology from Mr. Taylor. I call Mr. Taylor back the next day and he asks if my phone is blah blah blah and I say no it has never been that number. He asks for my number. I give it to him. He asks if I was the person he had been speaking to. I said yes. He says the matter had been cleared up. I told him not completely, I have not recieved an apology from him. He goes into a yelling rant about don't I have anthing better to do. I reply no that a debt of an apology is owed to me. I am calling for it. He has yet to give me the apology. I will continue to call him for it. It would seem to be a good business practice when the person they are calling for a debt is not the person that you are actually looking for that a simple apology like "You were right, I had the wrong person, I apologize." would be a good business practice. I understand it is their business to harrass people for money, but the harrassment is to the wrong person an apology is in order

Your company is not professional to say the least. You should teach your collectors not to curse or yell on the phone. One of your idiot collectors called me 30 times in 30 minutes. Yelling at my staff, cursing and making a general a** out of himself. I had to call the police to intervene. So ... if you condone such harassment you are also an unprofessional idiot. I have actually put in charges of harassment through our local police department and called our phone carrier as well.
And the funniest thing about all this ... the claim your company supposedly has against my business was settled over 18 months ago. Maybe you should retrain your staff and learn how professional debt collectors conduct themselves.
Idiot.

Just because TX is a one party state that only applies to calls made in TX to other people in TX. If it crosses state lines that is not always the case. For example if I called you from FL and you recorded the call with out my permission I could sue you and have charges pressed against your for invasion of privacy.
Scotty 2010-08-21 17:54:12 Unknown
Any luck Nicole? They don't answer our calls.

Do NOT trust these guys! They collected over $25,000.00 for us in November, 2009 and we still have not received the money. Luckily the customer sent us a 1099 or we would never have known they paid. Great to know they are posing as attorneys, I can contact the State Bar.

if you are receiving harrassing phone calls whether it is a "COLD CALL" to sell services or for a debt collection - REPORT THEM TO THE TX ATTORNEY GENERAL!
As for Coleman's claims about recording calls and not abusing CHILDREN - TX is a 1 party state - YOU CAN record calls without telling the other party. ITS PERFECTLY LEGAL AND ADMISSABLE IN COURT and police reports when you file harrassment charges.
Different states have different laws about recording calls - http://rcfp.org/taping/
- always double check YOUR OWN STATE Government Website
ALSO CHECK YOUR STATES LAWS ON BUSINESS TO BUSINESS COLLECTION LAWS THEY MAY BE BREAKING.

All of our calls are recorded and we would never talk to a child disrespectful. I know everyone likes to make the collectors the bad guys but if you would just pay our client and your vendor we would not call you again.
Thanks
Coleman
Coleman 2010-08-11 14:04:08 Unknown
We are strictly Commercial collectors which means we collect from companies that owe other companies and we have to put the best interest of our client first. I understand that you think you have been treated rough but we believe that the one being mistreated is our client that fronted the money on the project and is still waiting to get paid... We follow all laws!
Thanks
Coleman
Coleman 2010-08-11 13:59:08 Unknown
Sir, if we are trying to collect from you its because your vendor was not getting paid from you so they got us involve. if you pay your vendor then we will stop calling.
Thanks
Coleman

If you have an issue please give me a call directly and I'll get to the bottom of it..

I've read these posts and can confirm that Legacy Receivables Group is an agressive firm, but what do you expect out of a collection agency? They are doing their job! As a client, they have been more than effective on getting me paid than anyone under my employment, and they don't charge me until I have my money. If you're reading these posts and thinking about doing business with a good collection agency, I would definitely recommend them to anyone. After reading some of the complaints, I would guess most of these are the people who are being called because they didn't pay their bills.
