This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Just received a call saying they are with a law firm saying that I had an outstanding loan from Texasand said they had the last 4 digits of my ss# and a previous address. They were trying to get a email or mailing address to send me the information and we convienently got disconnected.  What to do to protect from identity theft????

They called my phone and said I had a criminal complaint against me and are reporting it to all three major credit bureaus. Yeah right no criminal court does that. So I called them and he said his name was Brandon Smith from a law firm. I said no ur name is not Brandon ur name is Ali and ur a terrorist. He hung up on me lol.

And what was the remaining $100 for?  Maybe for math lessons for the scammers?

these people call me and said  i owe 900 dollars from a loan i got for300 dollars.  he claim the 500 was from interest.  is this a fake or what cause i am really  afraid of goin to jail.

I received a call a couple of minutes ago from this phone #.  The voice sounded "Indian accent"...as
in India.  The man said that I was being "sued"...and was the main subject of a law suit.  This is the second number from the Texas area that I have received "threatning me...harassing etc."   This matter has been referred to the FBI and local police.  The parties doing this are conducting a "scam" trying to extort money!!

These people call every day wanting to speak to a person who does not live in my house. Everyday I tell them to take my number off their list because it's the wrong number and it's a continueous thing with them. Today I got fed up and them him something. And when I hung up he called rite back. What a jack***.

Caller claims to be a legal firm, Walter & Jones.  When I asked where they were located, he had to put me on hold to determine that.  The calls are coming from Dallas, Texas (allegedly); however, the callers are Middle Eastern men.  They are rude and demanding, claiming to have "emailed" me legal documents, which is ILLEGAL in the US.  They claim I have an outstanding Cash Advance from American Cash.  I have NEVER had a cash advance from this company.  They refuse to mail me paperwork about the alledged lawsuit but DEMAND that I give them my bank account number.  Complete frauds.

these stupid people called my mom like 2 hours ago saying we owed 8000 dollars and that she was going to be served and aressted at work. so my friend and i called back and they admitted they were scammers.. haha
PLEASE BE GUARDED.  DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.  Return the call and tell them who they are my daughter and her friend are harassing them now.  The told them to quit calling and to F*** off.  They told them the that they have the call long enough to be traced and that the police would be on the way to their location.  Continue doing the same.  PAY BACK IS HELL.  Take a stand.

When I call on a Sunday it's always busy that's another way I kno they are scammers a real lawfirm would not be busy they woul have a voicemail !!!!        Scamming annoying butches!!!!

This number called me like three weeks ago saying the same thing and the same people but from a different phone number and the this one keep calling me all day Monday leaving me like 25 messages saying the same thing so I called back asked them what's the emergency they said I owe for a loan applications and because I refused the loan if I dot pay it they will arrest me that next morning an I'm still not in jail so this shows they are fake they kept hanging up on me everyone saying have fun in jail I said come get me I'm not scared if jail kept calling they started acting like clowns on the phone and plus my husband called and of they where real they wouldn't have gave him information these people need to sit in jail for what they are doing!! Hey are the wrong ones

called MY WORK stating that charges being filed and asked for attny name. I provided attny name and he said, no you have him call me. you are going down.

I keep getting this call from this number saying I owe and if I don't pay, i will got to court and owe them $8,000 yeah okay. Why they can't send the information to my house instead of my job....smh

Just got a call from my sister in law - she rec'd a call from this number claiming the police would be at her home in the morning to arrest her because she didn't pay a bill - that's BULL!! NO ONE can have you arrested for not paying a bill!!!  WE ARE AMERICANS!!! Our government can't put us in jail for not paying a bill (unless it's FRAUD or EVASION)

CALL THE POLICE AND REPORT THIS - it's the only thing that will help put a stop to it!

BTW - My sister-in-law is not mentally stable and now I have to wonder if she's going to kill herself tonight because she is so afraid of these MORONS!!!!
