They were rude to me as well, so now I have educated myself on the law.

Let them keep calling.

By making harassing phone calls they owe YOU!

You will be surprised how well the squeaky wheel gets greased.

Transworld is a collection agency, they call because someone that you owe money to has filed a claim with them.  Its is transworld job to collect on it.  Its easy to misplace or forget to pay a debt they are just calling to collect what you owe.

They keep calling my cell and home number asking for me to give them my name, address, and SS# but will give no indication why they need anything from me.

Good luck getting them to do anything of the sort!

These people were rude and unwilling to provide certain information such as the nature of their business.  They expected me to provide them with information!

Yeah, right!  I'm going to give strangers who clearly are hiding something, information that would help them steal our identities.

I think it would be a good idea if all of us were very specific about asking them what their business was, and very specifically telling them that we are giving them no information about anyone or anything.

If they aren't going to tell me who they are (and I don't mean their "name," which no doubt is something made up!), then I am not telling them anything.  Period.

I got a call from these people.  At first they refused the name of the company.  Then they gave the name of the company but would not state their business.  They had called my business phone looking for my husband, or someone with his same name (it's a very common name).

They were very snotty, demanding and elusive.  As far as I am concerned, they can go fly a kite.  I was not quite that PC with them.

This number appears in my caller id with no name. The caller does not leave a message in the answering machine. I dialed back the number and encountered a greeting as "Transworld Systems". I then googled "Transworld Systems" and learned that it is a collection agency. The next time they call, I will pick up and tell them to remove my number from their database.
