"Free" golf balls

Telemarketer
Had a young lady, Alison Vaughn (800-523-6518) ext. 3511.  Who immediately asked for whoever was in charge of purchasing maintenance equipment.  I told her that I was, and she immediately became very flirtatious, volunteering her age (27) and trying to aquire information about our company.  She then asked me about my hobbies, asking if I did any golfing or fishing, and being an avid golfer and curious where this obvious scam was headed, I told her we all played golf here at our company.  She informed me that she would be sending me a free box of golf balls.  At this point, I had her on speaker, so our whole management team could laugh at this joke of a "business call."  She said she would be sending along some degreaser with the golf balls for us to "try out."  It would have been enough to last us for about... oh... a decade and was going to cost a ridiculous amount of money.  I then had to slam on the brakes and end the little joke by saying, I can't accept that much product, but I'll still take the golf balls.  *CLICK*  Phone call over.  I keep watching the mail to make sure she didn't send it to me anyway, because apparently they've been known to do that.

Called my iPhone.
I don't answer unless they're in my contact list.
With an iPhone, you can set the number to be blocked, should they call back.
Done!

Ps: Tks all for the scam/spam feedback!

Stay, stay away! Old SCAM, and check those invoices purchasing agents for part numbers with no descriptions that's how they scam you into paying for stuff you don't know what it is. Sad that this stuff still exists and millions of companies are fleeced out of their money.

These people keep calling and wanting to speak with the purchasing person, when the operator asks to take a message, they hang up on her.  We called back and left a message to remove our name and number, they have been calling for several months now.

*DON'T DO IT* Real nice guy on the phone, gonna send you free stuff and a sample of their products.  Then I get a phone call later wanting $140 for my order!  The lady on the phone cancelled my order and they have been calling back non stop.

Had a man call me today, he was very pleasant and he asked who the purchased products for the company. I told him both me and my husband.  He wanted to know my name.  I told him.  He wanted to know if we fished, hunted or golfed??? I told him NO, We don't have time to do any of those things, we are always busy working.  He asked me then if I knew what AVON was??? I said yes I do.  Well, he was going to send me Via FEDEX a bunch of AVON.  I told him that I was allergic to most products.  He then again
asked me if I golfed??? I told him I appreciated him calling but I worked all the time and didn't have
time for that.  He finally gave up and then he hung up.  He never told me the name of his company or
what he was really selling. He called from this number 215-322-6210

Buy your supplies local people, or use a company like Grainger. Another thing they like to do is send invoices with only part numbers to confuse accounts payable. They are bottom feeders!

They are real SCUM BAGS! I hope this place as well as other places that still do this get shut down by the FBI and they all rot in jail! They are bribing people at company's so they can get there over priced crap through the door. Another reason why this country is in such poor shape, sad really.

You obviously work for them or your supervisor is not aware of the pricing your paying for your products so you get your promotional items!
The sad part is the legal system goes after the telemarketer and not YOU!
If you can get a product that's of the same quality at a better price and keep the company budget down, you will be rewarded better than a Cabella's gift certificate! We all have a choice.

The companies must disclose on their invoices that a promotional item may be involved in the sale of these products. If they do this it is then on the company to so called "police" their employees and check the pricing on any invoice. It's a way of manipulating the purchasing agent and disclosing the facts about the purchase.
Many purchasing agents or buyers don't care about the price when their getting a free promotional item.

Guess you work for them "jt" because that is the only way you could say they are not bad. I had an associate who fell for their scam. He got a case of light bulbs for $150 that could have been purchased at Home Depot or Lowes for $29.99. Oh and they were out of his "free gift" so they sent him two baseball caps that were stuffed in an envelope two sizes too small so the caps never reshaped themselves.
Take heart people, I saw this with my own eyes, just hang up when they call or you will end up being stupider that them.

Gave them a chance, worked out great. Been buying from them for years. Pricey but worth it, extremely top quality products and the promotions are great too. Don't knock it til you try it.

Spoke to Ray, same scam, wants to send me a fishing rod but then says he needs to sell me at least 10 bulbs @ $10.50 each to prove that they are a good company, told him I would have to check with my supervisors and to e-mail me the catalog, he called back and left me a message that the e-mail would not go through.  This is about the 5th or 6th different company that has tried to pull the garbage on me, haven't got a single catalog ( wonder why ) in the mail.  Please be very weary of these people.  $10.50 for a light bulb I can get next door at ACE for around $2.50 come on.

Travis called me offering free stuff for purchase as well. It sounds too good to be true. The first flag went up when I got transferred to another agent after they collected customer information. The second flag went up when they were trying make me commit making a $150 purchase to try their product to get the free item. The third flag went up when now after several times of them calling me they still have not sent me any information about their company, catalog or price list of products. I feel like a fool for giving them as much personal information as I did about our company before I realized they shouldn't be trusted. Thank God I never provided them credit card information.

I responded to a local add in the NE philly times and Talked with a man named Craig Friedman his number is 215-791-7660.  I am looking for a job he said they sold cleaning supplies to companies all over the US so I thought interesting.  He told me they were four times the price.  Said the difference was like the difference between a Ford and a Ferrari.  Add says looking for "money motivated individuals".  Seems there are no real jobs out there.

I used that Attorney General before and it works good.

I also like mesing with them and the old company that laid me off. I tell them to send info to
this address with the name of the manager.

As an Independent Manufactures Representative I get this s*** all the time. I am even on the do not call list. Just deal with it, it could be worse without do not call program. Think about how many more you would get :)
